Incompetent Son

Bradley asked.

"Yes." Hugo replied

"Then why would you send your son to a military school."

"That's his decision and and my wife also support it so that is why I sent him there." Hugo said.

"Your wife and son accept it. Are they controlling you or are you controlling them. Hilarious." Bradley said.

The way Bradley snapped at Hugo made the other guests look at Hugo with contempt and they all shot a sinister gaze at Hugo making him embarrassed.

"My wife and son are not controlling me it is just their decision. And perhaps my son will come back to the family at the age of thirty after serving the military and by that time he will be more matured to take over the family." Hugo said.

Though Hugo never supported this decision, he also felt it made some sense because Riyad will finish college at the age of 22 and it won't make any sense for him to take over the family business at such a young age.

"Huh. What of if your son dies while serving the military for this past years what will you do. Or do you want your brother's son Jack to take over the family in the future." Bradley said with a sneer and look of contempt.

Tim was Hugo's brother and their fathers name was Fergus and he was the present helsman of the Walter's and was just 65 years old. Hugo was Fergus first son and was 41 while Tim was 40. Hugo only had one son, Riyad which was 18. But Tim had two children which were Sylvia, 17 and Jack, 16.

Bradley was talking of Tim's son, Jack when he was asking Hugo if the wanted Jack to take over the family.

"But nothing is bad if my brother son take over the family." Hugo replied.

After all, Jack was his nephew and if he took over the family it won't be bad because they were relative.

But Dallas was talking of it like it was some sin to let Jack take over the family in the future.

And perhaps Fergus wasn't even dead yet so Hugo has not even become helsman though he was the next helsman.

"I know why you think that way. It is because you know your son is incompetent that is why you want your brother's son Jack to take over the family.

"And you also want your son to join the army so that he won't be useless

but at least served some use to his country." Dallas immediately chip in and said.

What Dallas said I'mmediately left Hugo in awry and he never expected Dallas, who invited him to the party will invite him here to be humiliated by Bradley and himself because of his son personal matters.

But Hugo wasn't suprise because he had noticed it that Dallas bore a grudge for him a long time ago. But he never knew where this grudge and malice came from.

"Dallas, my son isn't useless and I am not trying to hand over the position of helsman to Jack and my son is also not incompetent.

"And perhaps i am not even helsman yet so why are we having this conversation? And it is also my personal life and my family's life. So I will respect it if we stop having this conversation now about my family.

"Good bye." Hugo said and Walked out of the Kirk's Manor with a firm gaze as he walked towards his massaratti.

Meanwhile, in the Kirk's hall, after Hugo left Dallas announced for the party to Continue and the guests started buzzing and dancing again forgetting what just occurred.

Dallas was smiling as if he won an award. All he ever wanted was to humiliate Hugo in public because he bore a grudge against him and wanted to humiliate him no matter what.

Dallas bore this grudge Because Hugo and his son, Riyad were better than him and his son.

Although he was already the helsman of the Kirk's, he father Bradley never wanted to give him the position because he knew Dallas was incompetent and only gave him little business to handle.

Watson was also not too competent and was also like his father. Dallas was already 53 years and recently became the family helsman and his father Bradley was already 72 and he couldn't leave for much longer again that is why he was forced to make Dallas the next helsman even with his incompetency.

Even Dallas son, Watson was also incompetent. So Bradley had no choice but to hand over the family to his son at such an old age even though though Dallas was not well trained.

While on the other hand, Hugo was already the chairman of the snow flakes at the age of 41 even though his father Fergus was still in his 60s and could still work and handle other things. But because Hugo was competent, he got the family largest enterprise at his control and overseer. Even Hugo's son, Riyad was also the future successor of his family at the age of 18, but Dallas's son, Watson was only made successor after his father became helsmen.

All this things made Dallas feel bad and that is why he bore a grudge towards Hugo and Riyad.

Bradley didn't have anything against Hugo or Riyad. He was just saying what his son told him about Hugo and Riyad and that is why he acted that way towards Hugo and even Riyad who was not present.

He just wanted to confirm what Dallas said. Although he was not against Hugo's decision, he had to act so that Dallas won't feel he betrayed him because they had a plan work to disgrace Hugo though Bradley was against it.

At this time.

Hugo who just got into his massaratti was questioned by the driver. "Sir would you still like to go to the snow flakes." The driver questioned.

Though the driver did not enter the hall just now, he got out of the car so he heard everything that had happened just now and he also felt sorry for Hugo.

"I don't want to go to the snow flakes any more. Take me home I have to get some rest.

After what had happened too night, Hugo was no longer able to work so he decided to go home directly and no longer go to the snow flakes though he had something to handle. He could just handle that the next day. And he also had to talk to his wife, Jennifer about what had happened in the Kirk's manor.

So he decided to tell the driver to go home directly and no longer to the snow flakes.
