A Loved Princess
After meditating for a moment in the silence of his chambers, Alexander managed to calm himself. He found it absurd that he felt such anger toward Lazarus. After the incident in his past, he worked hard to suppress any and all anger that he may have felt during tense situations. He had assumed he had perfect control over it, but apparently his emotions regarding Corina were the catalyst he required for the rage to get the best of him.
Looking down at his hand, he groaned. The laceration extended from the base of his thumb down to his wrist. As he attempted to move his fingers, a stabbing, burning pain spread throughout them.
Disappointment was the only emotion he currently felt, along with guilt, because the situation could have ended far worse than an injury to himself.
