Isabella Martini - POV
"Alpha Romano." I breathed out while my eyes were glued to him. I felt my throat dry up while I anxiously waited for him to say something.
"Do you know him?" Arlo asked me, which made me break my eye contact with Gael and look at my mate.
"Um, I have heard of him." I vaguely answered, Arlo stared at me for a little while longer before he turned around to face Gael.
"Have you found your mate yet, Alpha Romano? I heard that she had run away and that you are looking for her." Arlo said, and I felt like my heart nearly stopped beating. So this bastard was searching for me, and even Arlo knew about it.
If Arlo already knew about this, then why is he acting like he has never seen me before?
"I have been looking for her ever since, Alpha Bianchi." Gael asserted, but I could feel his eyes burning a hole in my skull. I felt my palms become clammy with sweat while I tried to constantly wipe it off.
