Escaping the Past

BOY 1: Hey guys, look, he ran that way. Come on, he won't get away this time. You two go this way and follow him. Take him to our secret hideout.

GROUP OF BOYS: Panting!!! We're on it. Let's go, boys.

What should I do? They are chasing me again, and no one is here to help me. It's my fault; I shouldn't have stayed here after school. Lucas is nowhere to be found. He said we would study after school. My only option is to run as fast as I can.

BOY 1: Hey, what are you doing? Come over here. What did I tell you? Where is Aiden now?

GROUP OF BOYS: He's hiding in our secret hideout. Should we get him now? It's going to be so fun seeing him cry and fight for his life.

How did I end up in this situation? I should find a way out of here. My mom must be worried now. I hear footsteps getting faster. Oh no!!! They know I'm here. What should I do? Come on, think faster. The sound just keeps getting louder. I saw a small window right behind me. Maybe someone is still there who can help me. I shouted, hoping someone could hear me.

Somebody, please help me! I'm stuck here! Somebody!!!!!!! (Sobbing) Please!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

BOY 1: Shout harder, Aiden, but no one will come to your aid. Now, will you open the damn door or let me in, or should I break it?

Aiden opens his eyes; tears won't stop falling. He is still under the influence of the nightmare he just woke up from.

Oh, again, it was just a nightmare. Why did it feel so real? The memories I have been trying to escape still haven't left my side.
