"Cold."
Dev raised an eyebrow. The sun was out that noon. The sky was also clear. He chuckled silently. "As long as you don't catch a cold, it's okay, little brown wolf."
Elestria scratched her cheek. The skin there became reddish and pale. She was getting tired of traveling on steep roads and only snow.
"Everything is white. Feels like a punishment."
"Yeah, if you look in my eyes they're red." Dev looked back.
Two two-meter-tall wolves were wading down the road carrying two women. The striking thing was Daphne's red hair. It wasn't tied up. She wasn't cold and neither was her hair.
"You're not cold?" Wolf Wan asked.
Gently, she shook her head, then replied, "It's not cold because you're here."
"I'm not cold either. Hearing you talk makes my heart warm all over."
Elestria listened to their conversation. She was sorry. Shouldn't have noticed how they were teasing each other.
