Butterfly Effect: Yuta Okkotsu

Yuta Okkotsu spent the first 15 and a half years in depression and still became one of the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerers by 18. What if Gojo found him as a kid? What if 'Copy' worked differently? This story is about Satoru Gojo finding Yuta Okkotsu when he was 10 years old, took him in, and taught him everything he knew about Jujutsu. Chapter 2: Jujutsu

Yo! I keep having good ideas for this fanfic so I'm gonna keep writing it. I'll try to get 2 chapters a week out, but I can guarantee 1 chapter a week. Also, if you have any 'Cursed Techniques' you want Yuta to copy, let me know! I don't care if they are from canon or your original ones, I wanna have Yuta doing some cool shit with a bunch of different 'Cursed Techniques'!!

WHAT THE FUCK IS A POWER STONE?!!

Anyway, enjoy the chapter!

...

2013: Tokyo, Japan. 5:30 PM

Yuta could be seen lying on a couch with popcorn in one hand and an unsheathed katana in the other. He was channeling his 'Cursed Energy' evenly throughout the katana while watching movies that would trigger different emotions.

"Tony? Look at me."

"We're gonna be okay."

"These movies are crazy... I hate the purple guy though." Yuta mumbled to himself, not realizing he had kept the flow how his 'Cursed Energy' even throughout the almost three-hour movie.

Gojo appeared behind the couch without Yuta noticing and smirked when he saw the flow of 'Cursed Energy' coming from the boy's hand.

'It's only been a day since I left him here and he's already got a handle on imbuing that katana with 'Cursed Energy'. It's still not refined because of having Rika not completely under control, but he's got surprisingly good control over the flow of his 'Cursed Energy' when he has as much as he does. Still needs work if he's going to call himself my student though.' Gojo thought to himself humbly before his smile became mischievous.

He disappeared and reappeared right in front of Yuta, who had no idea he was there and forgot he was coming back today.

"Yo!" "AHHH!!!!"

Yuta sent his popcorn flying as he jumped up in surprise. Satoru grinned when he saw that Yuta still kept the flow of his 'Cursed Energy' imbued into the katana even.

"Gojo, stop doing that!!" Yuta shouted at the man. It was the 5th time he did that already!

"Yuta, you seem like you've been handling the 'Cursed Energy Manipulation' pretty well. Also, call me 'Gojo-sensei'." Gojo said as he looked over the katana covered in a pinkish-red 'Cursed Energy'. Yuta nodded when he heard the man, as he let up his glare at the man for surprising him.

Gojo smiled at him before a whiteboard appeared behind him and a lab coat appeared on his shoulders. Yuta just dumbfoundedly stared as his new caretaker and sensei pushed him back onto the couch before he drew a fist surrounded by a border resembling lightning. Next to the fist with a small gap in between was what was most likely a wall drawn on the board.

He drew the number '1' inside the fist, the number '2' on the lightning-like border, and the number '3' in the small gap between the fist and the wall while inside the lightning-like border.

Yuta tilted his head in confusion as he didn't understand what was happening. Satoru smiled at that before going into his lesson.

"Listen Yuta, I'm going to explain how you can apply 'Cursed Energy' to your body to not only help with defending against attacks but strengthing your own," Gojo explained as his body exploded in blue cursed energy before it condensed into a thin blue coating around his entire body except for at his fists, where it was heavily concentrated.

Gojo looked at Yuta to make sure he was listening and when he was, he continued.

"Most sorcerers have to make 'Cursed Energy' flow, so most instinctively believe it starts from the negative feelings in their stomach and flows through the rest of the body. However, while it's technically true that 'Cursed Energy' flows from the stomach, thinking of one's body as different sections is what delays the flow of 'Cursed Energy'. To understand this cycle, one must realize that they exist in the world with their entire mind, body, and soul as one." Satoru continued as he moved his 'Cursed Energy' from his arms to his legs and eventually let it stop flowing throughout his body.

Satoru's smile covered his face when he saw Yuta copying his movements with his own 'Cursed Energy'.

*SLAP* "AH!!"

Yuta jumped when Gojo slapped the whiteboard. He just grinned at Yuta when he saw he once again didn't drop his flow of 'Cursed Energy' from the surprise.

"Listen, this is important." He said as he got serious which made Yuta nod and stop glaring at him while stopping the flow of his 'Cursed Energy'. Gojo nodded back before continuing as he pointed at the number '1' inside the fist he drew.

"The first type of using 'Cursed Energy' to make your punch stronger is the type that strengthens my fist." He said before he pointed to the number '2' on the lightning-like border.

"The second type is the type that will crash into my opponent." Gojo said before finally pointing at the number '3' in between the fist and wall while inside the lightning-like border.

"The third and last type is the type that will do both of those. Not that anyone can control the last type. Well, except for me. The reason I bring this up is not only because of how you use these three different ways of applying 'Cursed Energy', but because of a phenomenon in 'Jujutsu' known as the 'Black Flash'. This is when 'Cursed Energy' is applied to a physical strike within one millionth of a second. The 'Black Flash' increases the power of your strike by the power of 2.5, so if your regular attack had a value of '10', if you hit a 'Black Flash' with that attack, it would be '10^2.5' which equals about '316'." Gojo finished off as he looked back at Yuta to see a face of complete comprehension.

Gojo was left wondering if this kid was genuinely only 12 and skipped a bunch of classes due to his depression and Rika. Yuta smiled slightly when he saw that familiar look he would see on all his teacher's faces.

"I've always been able to learn stuff easily if I can see it before I had to leave school. Like, listening to your explanation just now, I understood everything that you were saying. But when you showed me how you flowed your 'Cursed Energy', it was like I immediately knew how to do it, if that makes sense." Yuta explained doubtfully, not exactly believing himself when he said it.

Gojo blinked twice behind his bandages and tilted his head. They spent a few seconds in silence, making Yuta start to sweat as he felt dumb for saying that.

Gojo took a step closer to him and held his left arm out while rolling down his sleeve. He motioned at the katana in Yuta's hand. Gojo flashed him a smile when he saw him look at him nervously.

"Give me a small cut, just enough to draw blood. I promise I'll be fine." Gojo reassured the kid before his smile became mischievous.

"If you don't do it, I'll just cut my arm off instead to show you~" The white-haired man teased, making the boy look at him in horror before bringing the sword over the Gojo's outstretched arm.

*SHNK*

Yuta left a small cut on Gojo's arm that wasn't more than three inches long, frowning as he pulled the blade back. Satoru held back his snort of amusement as he wanted to test his idea.

"Watch very carefully, Yuta," Gojo said as he nodded to the cut on his arm. Yuta blinked at him but nodded and looked closely at the cut.

Yuta's eyes widened when he saw the cut heal itself right before his eyes. Gojo wiped the blood off the show the only thing that was left was a light scar.

Gojo grinned down at the boy, who looked down at his hand after he looked away from the healed arm. Yuta then looked at the katana in his other hand as Gojo spoke up again.

"You think you can do it?" Gojo asked with a confident smile that showed he already knew the answer to the question. Yuta glanced up at him before looking back at his hand and nodding lightly.

"'Reverse Cursed Technique'…" Yuta trailed off as he made a similar small cut across his palm before using the new information that just appeared in his brain to stitch the wound back together, leaving a light scar like the one on Gojo's arm. Gojo couldn't hold back his laughter at the sight of a 12-year-old child using the 'Reverse Cursed Technique'.

"Hahahaha!!! This is hilarious!! Yuta, you may not know it, but what you just did is something like 99% of 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' never learn how to do it throughout their entire lives!!" Gojo explained after he finally calmed down from his laughing fit, stunning Yuta silent.

*SLAP*

He didn't have much time to think as Gojo slapped the whiteboard again, making Yuta jump and then pout at him, which was ignored.

"The next thing we will be talking about will be 'Innate Techniques' that are a type of 'Cursed Technique' is a unique ability engraved into the user's body. Specifically in the right side of the prefrontal cortex." Gojo said as he flicked the right side of the top of Yuta's head, making him rub it in pain. Before Yuta could say anything, he continued.

"Most 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' are born with an 'Innate Technique' that manifests around the age of five or six, which continually carves its formula into the user over time. My 'Cursed Technique' is called 'Limitless'. It's the thing I used to block Rika's punch when I first met you. This is also known as an 'Inherited Technique', which is an 'Innate Technique' passed down to sorcerers in the same bloodline." Gojo explained as he surrounded his hand in his 'Lapse: Blue' and switched it to cover it in his 'Reversal: Red' to demonstrate.

Yuta was in awe of what he was watching because he knew he wouldn't be able to do that just by looking at it, which confused him a bit. Yuta was pretty sure it had something to do with whatever his 'Innate Technique' was.

Gojo grinned down at Yuta when he saw the look of awe, but continued as he had a feeling he was about to answer his question.

"'Innate Techniques' comprise about 80% of a sorcerer's intrinsic skillset, making them nearly impossible to mimic. Unless they can do what I think you can do, and that is copy all 'Cursed Techniques' by watching them be performed. Before you ask, you'd need my 'Six-Eyes' to use my 'Limitless', so don't even try to figure it out." Gojo said making Yuta slump down for a second as that's what he thought of before perking up again.

Being able to copy 'Cursed Techniques' sounded pretty cool. He looked back at Gojo when he continued.

"I'm not too sure since we haven't figured anything out with Rika, but since I know for a fact that the brain can only handle 3 or 4 'Cursed Techniques', I would bet that Rika could probably act as a replacement for that," Satoru said but deflated when he saw Yuta's confused face.

"Think of it like this. When you watch someone use a 'Cursed Technique', you 'Copy' it and learn how to perform the 'Cursed Technique'. Then Rika 'Stores' it within her so you don't fry your brain by exceeding the limit of 'Cursed Techniques' it can handle. I'm sure there's some specifics we need to figure out through trial and error, but that's pretty much what I can tell." Gojo explained everything he could see with his eyes and what he thought about Yuta's possible 'Cursed Technique'.

Gojo could see through his 'Six-eyes' how Rika's 'Cursed Energy' was constantly leaking out of that ring and mixing into Yuta's 'Cursed Energy'. This is why he believed Rika was heavily involved in Yuta's 'Cursed Technique', especially when she seemed to be able to take the shape of any cursed technique.

He genuinely couldn't wait to see what this kid's future held.

"Wait here. I'm gonna go grab a couple of people whose 'Cursed Technique' you should be able to copy." Gojo said before he disappeared, making Yuta blink before he grabbed the sheathe for his katana that was on the couch to his left and sheathed it. He placed it on the couch before he sat down on it and looked back at the TV.

He furrowed his eyebrows when he remembered the movie he was watching was over.

He reappeared about thirty seconds later with a tall woman with long brown hair, and soft brown eyes with dark lines under them, making it appear as if she had underslept, and wearing a white lab coat over a blue turtle neck in one hand. More accurately, she was dangling in the air being held by Gojo's hand on her back before he let her down.

On the other hand, being dangled just like the brown-haired woman, he had a tall man with blonde hair and a suit that consisted of a blue dress shirt underneath a tan blazer with matching slacks and light shoes. He was also wearing a necktie with a spotted pattern.

Yuta noticed they didn't look happy to be there at all.

"What the hell do you want? I was about to go get a drink before they call me back here in like 3 fucking hours so this better be important." The woman said while giving Gojo a narrow-eyed glare. The blonde-haired man was doing much of the same.

"Gojo, It's 5:54. You have 6 minutes before I leave even if you're about to die. This better be important." Both glares were drilling into Gojo, which made the man put up his hands in surrender after he let the two down. After he saw the two weren't going to stop glaring at him, he continued explaining.

"I found this kid, Yuta Okkotsu." He said as he gestured to the kid who was looking at the two adults apologetically to which the woman rolled her eyes and the man sighed.

*SPARK*

"Yep, you're a monster, kid. I mean that in the best way possible. It's a good thing you're working on control because you need it." The woman said simply as she lit her cigarette, making the man click his tongue in irritation as he looked back at Gojo.

*Tsk*

"So it's the cursed kid with the insane amount of 'Cursed Energy'? Okkotsu-kun, you said? Yeah, he has a lot of potential, but why are we here? 5:56 by the way." The man said making Yuta sweat-drop.

'Does he have somewhere to be?' Yuta wondered as Gojo answered the questions that were asked.

"Well, I'm pretty sure Yuta's 'Cursed Technique' is the ability to copy other 'Cursed Techniques' by watching them be performed. He learned the 'Reverse Cursed Technique' by watching me use it once." Gojo explained making both of them snap their heads to him with their eyes wide. He continued before they could speak up.

"He did the same with the flow of his 'Cursed Energy' by watching me apply it to myself. The kid's distribution of his 'Cursed Energy' is already better than most sorcerers I know because he copied the distribution of my 'Cursed Energy'. I want to see if he can do it with your 'Reverse Cursed Technique' Shoko, and your 'Cursed Technique' Nanami." Gojo explained as he looked at the woman and then the man. The two took about half a minute to process what they were told before they both nodded slowly and turned to Yuta.

"So you already know how to use the 'Reverse Cursed Technique', Yuta?" The now-named Shoko asked the boy making him nod and show her his hand that still had the faint scar he healed earlier, which made her smile and shake her head in disbelief.

"Well, I'm what you could call a 'Reverse Cursed Technique Specialist' because I don't do fighting and I can use my 'Reverse Cursed Technique' on others. If you can copy that, please do so as you can take some of my workload." Shoko lightly smiled at him at the end before she motioned to the sheathed katana on the couch.

"Grab that and make another small cut on yourself so I can show you how I do it." She said making Yuta nod and unsheathe the blade again. He put the blade right above his left arm.

*SHNK*

Yuta made a small cut across his arm similar to the one he gave Gojo earlier. He watched as Shoko's hand was covered in white 'Positive Energy' and was placed over the wound he just made on his arm, watching in awe as the wound was healed without him doing a thing.

All three 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' saw Yuta's eyes widen suddenly as he watched himself get healed. Once it was over, the kid looked down at his free hand for a few seconds before it was covered in 'Positive Energy' at almost the same output as Shoko was using.

Nanami and Shoko couldn't believe what they were watching while Gojo was doing his best to hold back his joy. Satoru already knew Yuta could probably copy Shoko's 'Reverse Cursed Technique' because Yuta already copied his. This second one was the real test.

"Nanaminnnnn!!!"

Gojo turned to Nanami who looked at him and sighed while taking his blunt sword out of its holster that was attached to his dress shirt. Shoko realized what was happening so she walked over to the other side of the room.

Nanami turned to Yuta, who was already looking at him when he got his blunt sword out.

"My 'Ratio Technique' can mark my target's body with lines divided into tenths. If I hit one of these lines on exactly the seven-to-three ratio point, they deliver a critical hit. The lines don't have to measure up to the target's full length or wingspan. Their head, torso, biceps, and forearms are all among the applicable limbs for division. This technique can be used on inanimate objects in addition to living beings." The 'Grade 1' 'Jujutsu Sorcerer' explained to the boy who was listening seriously while watching the man bring his blunt sword back.

He swung his reared-back blunt sword at Gojo, who had removed his 'Limitless' for the demonstration.

*BOOOOOM*

Gojo blocked the attack with his arm while only applying his 'Cursed Energy' defensively on his arm, causing the attack to leave a small bruise that was smoking from the impact. before it was quickly healed with the 'Reversed Cursed Technique'.

Yuta watched in fascination before looking down at his fist. He looked back up at Gojo to see the man still in his defensive position but turned to him, which made him understand what he should do.

'I see, it's like turning whatever I want to hit into a piece of graph paper, and if I hit it in the 7-to-3 coordinates in the graph, it'll cause extra damage.' Yuta thought to himself as he covered his body and fist in 'Cursed Energy' and charged at Gojo before throwing his fist forward.

*BOOOOM*

All three of the 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' watched in awe as Yuta replicated an 'Innate Technique' merely by watching it be performed once.

Before Gojo or Shoko could say anything, Nanami nodded his head and sheathed his blunt sword before dusting off his shirt.

"Alright, I'm leaving. It was nice to meet you on better terms, Okkotsu-kun. If you have any questions about using my 'Curse Technique', just ask me whenever you see me next." Nanami said to the child, who gave a small smile and nodded in response. Once the man saw that, he nodded back and walked right out the door without listening to anything Gojo was trying to say to him.

"I swear I'll get him someday!!"

*SNORT*

Shoko snorted in amusement at Gojo's declaration before she turned to Yuta and gave his head a pat, which made his cheeks burn red in embarrassment.

"Work hard so I can work less, Yuta." She said getting a sweat-drop and a nod from the boy. She waved at Gojo, who waved back as she walked out before looking back down at Yuta.

'Yuta can understand how any 'Jujutsu' works and how to perform it just by watching it happen!! It's like the information just gets sent to his brain!! The only thing holding him back would be the inability to store more than 3 or 4 'Cursed Techniques' at a time and that he would have to discard one of those to copy another one. Rika, on the other hand, can store the 'Cursed Techniques' Yuta isn't using so he can switch them out, effectively letting him use any 'Cursed Technique' he has copied at any time!!' Gojo thought to himself in excitement before he looked at Yuta with a smile and finally couldn't help himself.

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Ohhh, you better work hard, Yuta!!" Satoru shouted out after he laughed his head off, confusing Yuta greatly. Gojo smirked at him once he calmed down a bit.

"You better work hard because I'm going to put all of my effort into your training!! I'll train you up well before shipping you off to Kusakabe!! You better get some sleep, I don't have a lot of free time so we start early in the morning!!" Gojo said in an excited tone before he just disappeared, leaving Yuta a bit speechless.

'Well, he never really said it outright, but I think Gojo-sensei is lonely with how much strength he has. I probably would too if I could make it so no one could touch me if I didn't want them to.' Yuta thought to himself as he ran his fingers over his ring. He felt like he needed to repay the man who wasn't afraid of him and forced him out of his depression.

'If getting strong is what it takes for Gojo-sensei to not feel alone like I did before, then I'll become the Strongest.'

Yo! 2nd chapter done! If you're wondering about the quotes from the movie, it's what 'Pepper Potts' said to 'Tony Stark' as he was about to die in 'Avengers: Endgame'. Yuta is going to fucking people up in this with this version of 'Copy'. If you're curious, Gojo wasn't able to tell exactly how Rika affected 'Copy', he just correctly guessed how she affected it based on what he could see with his 'Six-Eyes'.

Anyway, Yuta wanting to become the 'Strongest' to help Gojo not feel lonely is him wanting to repay him for giving him the will to live again by showing him he could be strong and protect people. Yuta recognized the loneliness of Gojo when they confirmed his ability to copy all 'Cursed Techniques', even 'Innate Techniques' by how excited the man got. Gojo could see for the first time a 'Jujutsu Sorcerer' having the potential to genuinely be able to match and surpass him.

Thanks for reading and hopefully see you next chapter!!
