Chapter 29 Typhoon (1)

Everyone started cheering when the bottle stopped near Coral.

Coral couldn't help but giggle, her beautiful blue eyes sparkling as she glanced at Alexander.

"Ask Coral quickly, Alex!" Aria exclaimed, her excitement evident in her voice.

In a low voice, Alexander asked, "Truth or dare?"

A grin spread across Coral's face as she replied, "Dare." She didn't want to reveal her true identity. What if he asked questions she couldn't answer?

"Haha! Looks like our Coral baby is quite daring!" Aria laughed.

Alexander racked his brain, trying to come up with a suitable dare. He hadn't played this game in years, and his entire day had been filled with work.

"Come on, Alex! Hurry up!" Mason urged.

"How about singing a song?" Alexander suggested hesitantly.

Coral's face lit up with joy upon hearing this. She loved singing, so she cleared her throat and began to hum a tune.

Her voice was like a breath of fresh air, so melodious that everyone couldn't help but gaze at Coral with wide eyes. Her talent deserved recognition.

However, Coral suddenly stopped singing. Her eyes darkened as she looked at the superhero Bee and muttered, "Do you feel the same thing as I do?"

"What happened, Coral? What are you muttering?" Jennie asked. She had hoped Coral would continue singing.

"Yes, Coral! Once more time!" Aria shouted.

"Once more, yes!" Mason, Gabriel, and Finn chimed in, their voices filled with enthusiasm.

"We have to leave quickly," Coral said, her eyes widening in alarm.

"Oh, don't joke around, Coral. Let's play a little longer," Mason said, dismissing her words.

"I'm not joking!" Coral cried out, trying clumsily to get Aria and the others to stand up.

She was trembling as Super Bee whispered, "Coral, this isn't good. You guys need to leave immediately. Tell them."

"Please, it's not safe here," she pleaded in a rushed, soft tone.

"Aww, baby, what's wrong? We were just playing the game a moment ago. Why do we need to leave?" Aria asked, noticing Coral's anxious and scared expression.

Seeing that Aria wasn't taking her seriously, Coral ran over to Alexander, who had already stood up. "Alex, brother..."

Upon hearing her words, Alexander's mind went blank.

B-rother?

"Don't call me brother," Alexander said coldly.

Coral didn't pay attention to his response. "Alexander... We need to leave quickly. Something bad is about to happen in the ocean. I don't know what, but it's not safe here. Can we leave?" she pleaded, tears streaming down her face.

Seeing her teary eyes, Alexander asked in disbelief, "How do you know?"

"I can't explain right now. Can we just leave already?" Coral shouted, frustrated that they weren't listening to her.

"If she's saying we should go, then let's go," Alexander said, and Coral nodded her head rapidly in agreement.

Marine Climate Station, 3:38 PM

"What's that sound?" The dark-haired man hurriedly entered the room after returning from lunch. His eyes widened as he glanced at the monitors.

He quickly typed something on the keyboard, and beads of sweat formed on his forehead.

"You're back! What happened?" The brown-haired man, who had gone to speak with his wife, asked.

"There's a major emergency!" the young man exclaimed. "And what are you doing? Don't you see what's on the screen?"

Hearing his urgency, the brown-haired man grew serious and stared at the screen with wide eyes.

He quickly made an emergency call.

"Emergency... emergency! The eastern private ocean in D Wing has been hit by a typhoon with wind speeds of 64–79 knots."

"We need to clear that ocean immediately," he said urgently.

"Don't worry; that ocean is privately owned, and the owner only visits once a year. No one else goes there. But we still need to stay vigilant," the dark-haired man explained.

"I have already alerted the higher-ups. Why did this suddenly happen?" the brown-haired man asked, his brow furrowed.

"Yeah! We didn't detect any movement even on the satellite. Why did a typhoon suddenly appear in the eastern D Wing?" the dark-haired man pondered aloud.

"Let's pray that no one is there because the wind speed is increasing," the dark-haired man said as he quickly dialed another number.

"Please, at least tell us what happened, Coral," Mason pleaded as they hurriedly returned to the wooden cabin to grab their car keys and bags.

"We don't have time, hurry!" Coral said anxiously, glancing back with fear in her eyes.

Everyone quickly gathered their bags, and Alexander grabbed his car keys.

"Alright, Coral, there's no need to worry. We're already leaving, see?" Jennie said softly, trying to reassure her.

However, Coral remained extremely anxious when Super Bee whispered, "It's a typhoon, you guys need to leave quickly. It's very dangerous."

"It's a typhoon," Coral announced, and everyone was stunned by the revelation.

Mason was so shocked that he shouted, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's leave, guys!"

Everyone ran together, clutching their bags tightly.

"Let's all go in my car. It's not safe in the jeep," Alexander suggested as they hurried along.

Outside, the storm was raging, the sky dark as if ready to engulf everything. Rain started pouring down, and the cold air sent shivers down their spines, intensifying their fear.

Coral, who was used to swimming but not running, found it difficult to keep up. She nearly stumbled multiple times.

Seeing her struggling, Alexander stopped and scooped her up into his arms, earning a startled sound from her.

"What are you doing, Alexander?" she asked, panic evident in her voice.

"Shh... You can't run like this. Let me help you," Alexander said, running with Coral cradled in his arms.

Coral rested her head on his shoulder as she looked back at the ocean. She didn't want to lose any of her friends. She knew how dangerous a typhoon could be.
