THE SERVE

I said taunting him as he turned around and looked back at where the ball was, and he saw the ball stopped before the line so it was obviously an in. He turned back and looked at me being angry cause he won't be able to say it's not in.

I served again and he returned it, I could hear them saying he's still going easy on me something like that but it doesn't matter now, I hit it back and it goes high up, but he still couldn't reach it even after jumping.

"Game count 6–2 Akasuki lead!"

He was pissed and I knew it, I got the ball and I served as it went over to his side, he returns it but this time he held the racket with both of his hands and it came with an even stronger force as came straight for my face.

*PAH*

I stopped it with my racket but I couldn't control it's trajectory. But it still luckily went in. I caught the ball by reflexes, but in doing so my racket grazed the side of my face. I got pissed as well and I just bounced the ball, then I served.

The force going with ball this time was already intense but, when it hit his court close to him, it just spined like a wheel and went back straight to the net. Every one was surprised, I mean shocked.

"15–0"

Hayaku looked at me not understanding and I served another one.

*BAM*

It goes as it went last time rolling back and hits the net.

"30–0"

"WHAT WAS THAT?!"

"Nothing major it's just a technique of mine I call the return serve or maybe the Yo-Yo serve is appropriate"

I replied to him as he looked at me like I was a speaking a foreign language to him.

"That serve, at first when I saw it I thought it was just a stroke of luck, but I guess it's his trump card but he didn't have to reveal it". (JOE)

"There is really no need for concealment, that serve is the kind of serve that goes slightly above the net by about 2cm spinning with force as it hits the ground digging a little hole to stop it self and just rolls back towards the net, its quite interesting don't you think". (HAYAMI)

"It's seems you've seen him use it before" (JOE)

"No this is also my first time seeing it...just like I said before I haven't even seen him play before". (HAYAMI)

"Hmph, you really are bizarre". (JOE)

I served the return serve or the Yo-Yo serve again and this time he didn't even bother to catch it...it seems he knew I will use it again and didn't bother cause once the ball lands it doesn't bounce up as it just rolls straight to the court.

"40–0"

"Alright then let's try the Bungee-Jump Serve"

As soon as I said that, it was like he lost himself and his racket slowly slipped from his hand and I just served a normal serve into his court.

"Game set!"

"He actually won huh...he kinda reminds me of you" (JOE)

"I guess so maybe" (HAYAMI)

"HEY YOU, WHAT KIND OF CHEAT SERVE WAS THAT?!"

"Cheat serve?...I don't any rule against it"

"OH REALLY, IF YOU'RE A REAL MAN WHY DON'T YOU GO AGAINST ME AGAIN THIS TIME I WILL SHOW YOU YOUR PLACE!!"

"Sorry but I'm still a boy so I'm not yet in adulthood to be called a man, later"

I said as I left, the people around me when I walked away were all glaring at me and I just went straight home, cause I was still pissed off by what the guy did earlier even if I looked really calm there.

When I left school and was really close home I felt something touch me from behind.

"Here...you left your bag back there"

"OH...sorry for the trouble, I didn't even notice it wasn't with me"

"it's fine, you really impressed me today, you were pretty good"

"That level was impressive to you, weren't you the one who said I should become a regular, or is that guy already a regular?"

"No he isn't, any way Joe said you should come tomorrow at the same time cause they've got a lot of people waiting for you inorder to test you out"

"I don't know, it feels like I wasn't as good as this when I was still playing tennis back in middle school, I haven't played for some time but I feel like I can do even better"

"It's obvious why, your reflexes increased and you becoming a Deviant also increased your other physical abilities"

"Yeah I guess so but there's something I just noticed....where is Momoi?, isn't she with you?"

"Huh?"

Hayami reacted as she looked at me confused and we looked at our home that was a little bit ahead and saw that light was on in the inside which showed that some one was in.

It was almost sun set, as we got home and I opened the door for both of us to enter in, i pulled of my shoe and Hayami as well and we perceived the scent of something being cooked. we went in to the living room and head l towards the kitchen.

"OH...Y-You're both back, umm...welcome dinner is almost ready so go rest up"

Momoi said after welcoming us in, she wasn't in her uniform but in normal clothes wearing an apron while cooking, we both did as she said as we went to our rooms. I finished washing up and went back down stairs, momoi was almost through with cooking and Hayami also came down.

"Right on time Hayami-san"

"Woah something looks delicious"

Hayami said as she slowly walked down the stairs, I just came back from throwing out the trash and the food was already placed at the dining table. After washing my hands I sat down to eat and Hayami was already eating.

"itadakimasu"

I said while clapping my hands together as I took the chop stick in order to take the first bite.

"Woah it's really delicious, I didn't expect you to be so good"

"Yeah, you're better than I expected"

"R-Really!, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!"

Momoi said as she smiled at us before taking a bite, she must be angry or maybe sad cause I was avoiding her through out the entire day.

"It seems you've ve made quite a name for yourself at school, Akasuki-kun".

*BAM*

"I'M REALLY SORRY FOR AVOIDING YOU THROUGH OUT THE DAY PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!"

"Kyaaahhh!!, You're going to pour your food B-But I don't really mind cause umm...i am sure you must have a good reason for do so"

Momoi said even though she was really flustered, I'm happy she's a really reasonable person and has a nice intuition skill, I nodded In agreement as I looked her straight in the eye.

"It's exactly as you said before, I have a well... bizarre reputation at school and if they see that I already know you they will try to distance them self from you and you might be left with no one but Hayami and me for the next three years of your high school life"

"I-It's fine, I don't really mind but I would have been happy if you had told me sooner".

"Sure, Sorry to ask you this you can feel free not to answer, but Where are your parents?".

"oh...um, I forgot to tell you both, Sorry"

Momoi apologizes as she bowed slightly at me while Hayami doesn't give a damn about all this and has an expressionless face pretending to not care of her surroundings and just continues to eat her food.

"My parents are no more, not too long ago about a year from now they were a victim of the 'Umi incident'"

"You mean the incident where a bunch of people and properties were drowned by ocean flood"

"Yes"

"Sorry it must have been sad for you all this while".

"Yes it was sad at first but slowly I began to forget, I started living with my aunt even though she was favouring her own children and maltreating me and making me do a little side jobs all till I got hit by a ray of explosion and became a Deviant".

"Sorry, but...did you go into a coma after the ray?"

"S-Sorry but no, the only thing that happened was that after then when I slept I woke up after two days"

Momoi replied my question like she was remembering what happened and I noticed that Hayami stopped eating like she thought of something.

"Yes it was the same for me, I noticed that I easily get dizzy from then onwards, and wake up late...but I didn't sleep for two days like you though, anyways I'm done with eating it was delicious"

"Y-Yes, thank you Hayami-San, I'm grateful"

"Sure, anyway I'm gonna go hit the bed, don't stay too late and keep it P.G in here or go get a contraceptive device, Well Goodnight"
