While the other is transported after he dies via... I shouldn't elaborate for the sake of the poor boy's dignity.

His name's Kazuma Satou - Also a NEET, that WASN'T destined to arrive in this FANTASTIC World.

They've never met before, but they better get along and get to know each other quickly.

Because...

Apparently, they're playing hardcore multiplayer.

Because if just ONE of them dies... The other goes back with them and they return to their checkpoint.

Although one is considerably luckier than the other - So he doesn't die that gruesomely.

Now look, this is basically what if Satou Kazuma was tagging along with Subaru.

I think it could be interesting.

Though this would still have its... Serious and psychological tone.

Kazuma's presence will boost the comedic effect, but not enough to dilute the shit show that is ReZero.

And having a besto furendo would surely make Subaru's mental state that much better.
