Instead of going home right away, Jin and Nikolai were still in the parking lot, enjoying coffee together in the car, with Minnie parked next to them.
"What a weird turn of events! Ha-yoon passes out, and suddenly we're no longer the main characters!" Nikolai made a joke.
Seizing the opportunity, "The thing is, Everyone is a main character of their own life story, except for you Niko." Jin said confusing Nikolai.
"Huh? why am I the exception?" Nikolai questioned.
"It's because You're the main character of both your story...And mine." Jin replied with confidence, he was feeling proud of this attempt to flirt with Nikolai.
"You sly fox!" Nikolai chuckled at his boyfriend's words.
Chuckling with him, "I saw an opportunity and I took it, can you blame me?" Jin said, "I can't blame you, not when I'm such a cutie that you can't help yourself but flirt with me." Nikolai replied casually.
"You got that one right! haha!" Jin said laughing.
Suddenly, as Jin was about to start the car, he saw Soo-Min near them in the parking lot, he was surprised she didn't leave yet, and it didn't seem like Soo-Min noticed that He and Nikolai were still in the parking lot.
But barely a minute later after he saw her, a dark vehicle pulled up next to Soo-Min and she got inside.
Jin kept watching Until the car drove away with Soo-Min, it felt oddly suspicious to him, "Is everything alright? you've gone quiet all of the sudden." Nikolai asked.
"Oh? Yeah! everything is fine!... it's just that I watched Soo-Min leave! I hope she makes it safely, wherever she's going.
I'd really hate for what happened to Seong-min to happen to her mother too." Jin replied.
"Oh right, Soo-Min mentioned she was going to see someone!" Nikolai said, "Any idea who they are?" he asked.
"No... Soo-Min never mentioned anyone specific to me." Jin replied.
"You know...*Sighing* it's kinda weird, Soo-Min seems to know her way around here despite being a Foreigner." Nikolai said.
"That's just How Soo-Min is, she quickly adapts to new environments, and she's more capable than you'd think.
You saw how quickly Seong-min got used to this place too." Jin replied.
"Yeah, you're right...Like mother like daughter.
Although something else is bothering me about your stepmother." Nikolai stated, "This is the first time someone called Soo-Min, my stepmother...it makes her sound evil." Jin said chuckling, "But anyways, what's bothering you?" he added asking.
"Call it a sixth sense for us actors, but that woman is definitely more than what she lets on." Nikolai said.
"I'm not sure I understand, do you think Soo-Min is putting on some act?" Jin asked.
"It's just a hunch, but then again I was wrong about Andrea...I was fooled by him, so I can be fooled again." Nikolai replied shrugging his shoulders.
"I suggest you don't worry yourself about her! while Andrea may be evil...I doubt Soo-Min is.
She's on our side if anything were to happen." Jin said.
"You think?" Nikolai questioned, "I know." Jin replied.
"I see...guess we should head home next, I'm sure Minnie is waiting for us to get going.
I don't understand why she insisted on coming with us if." Nikolai said then he remembered Minnie who was still parked next to them.
Glancing over to his side, Jin saw how Minnie seemed a little under the weather while staring at her phone, "Minnie and i are partners, meaning we work together and it's her responsibility to protect you as much as it is mine, so of course she'll follow us here." Jin replied.
"What about Seong-Min."
"What about my sister?"
"Are you mad at Minnie, about her?" Nikolai asked, "A little...As mad as a protective older brother can get." Jin replied.
"Maybe she doesn't have a crush on her, and you and i just jumped into conclusions." Nikolai said, "Maybe...But if she does has a crush, then that would explain few things." Jin replied.
"Like what?" Nikolai questioned, "Like why she actually helped us...keep Lydia a secret." Jin said.
"Wasn't it because she's afraid of my mother?"
"Did you really believe it...I guess you're easy to fool after all, Niko."
Offended, "HEY! take that back!" Nikolai said feeling embarrassed.
Chuckling, "I'm sorry...hehehe!" Jin replied.
"I won't accept that fake apology! you're Laughing!"
"Then I guess I have to make it up for you, in another way!"
"Another way?" Nikolai questioned, "Would a little massage be acceptable?" Jin's sudden seductive tone, took Nikolai by surprise, his anger disappeared quickly.
"That would do, but only this time! I won't let you get away with mocking me again!" Nikolai said pretending to be still Angry when in reality, he was eagerly looking forward for that massage.
...Meanwhile...
"BONE CANCER?! HE'S DYING?!" Seong-min shouted unintentionally.
"What the hell?! lower your voice! you want the whole hospital to hear his diagnosis?!" Cyrus scolded her.
"Sorry!...I didn't mean to." Seong-min apologized.
The two were sitting across from each other at the cafeteria, "Jesus Christ, this girl is gonna Make me crazy." Cyrus mumbled to himself.
"Btw dude...I gotta ask.
Although you do look worried, you're just not 'My dad got cancer and he's dying' type of worried...why?" Seong-min Asked.
"You mean why I'm not losing my mind, and crying my eyes out?
it's because I saw it coming! I knew that sooner or later, he would turn out to be seriously ill, the guy never really took good care of himself!
Besides, it's not the first time I got such news about someone I know...I'm not gonna get affected by it this time." Cyrus explained.
"This isn't just someone you know Cyrus! this is your father.
Do you really believe that you're not going to be affected by his death?" Seong-min asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." Cyrus replied, "And Don't get me wrong, but I'm just not comfortable talking what I'm feeling from knowing that my dad dying.
Besides, it's not my dad's looming death that's bothering me the most right now." Cyrus replied.
"What's bothering you then?"
"My dad himself, I had a feeling he already knew, so I did a little digging and managed to track down where he first got tested."
"Track down? you mean he got tested somewhere else?" Seong-min asked.
"Yeah, he actually went to another hospital just to make sure nobody knows.
it's been at least a month since my dad knew about his own condition, And according to the hospital where he got his diagnosis from...My dad showed disinclination towards treatment, especially when the doctor explained how aggressive the treatment at a late stage can be." Cyrus explained.
"Disinclination? it's a difficult word! what does it mean?" Seong-min asked, "It means lack of enthusiasm towards something." Cyrus replied.
"Ah! Algess-eo! (I see!)" Seong-min said, then she realized, "Wait...You mean!"
"Yeah, even though he's still got time and a chance to try and save his life, My dad doesn't want to go through treatment.
Or else, he wouldn't try to hide his sickness." Cyrus finished the thought.
"You're not gonna let him do that are you?" Seong-min asked.
"Huh? And what choice do I have? I can't force him to get treated." Cyrus replied, "The only thing I can do, is prepare myself for the inevitable." he added.
"What?! you can't just give up you too!
You Gotta talk to him, convince him to do it! he's your dad and you're his son! he'll listen to you if you try hard enough!" Seong-min said.
"You really believe that crap? where the hell do you think I got my stubbornness from? I got it from him!" Cyrus replied while doing his best to not yell at Seong-min as Their conversation started to turn heads towards them.
Taking a deep breath, "You can't give up...I understand that everyone deals with stressful situations like these differently, and you're probably acting tough and unaffected, because you don't want to confront the reality that you're about to lose a parent.
But it's wrong, you can't always do that!... you have to confront your own reality, it's the only way for you to move forward or else you're just gonna be trapped in the past." Seong-min replied said.
"You're one to talk..." Cyrus said while Looking away from her, "Besides, it's too late to teach an old dog new tricks, Seong-min." Cyrus replied.
Sighing, "I can tell you're your father's child, but there's a quality to you that I don't think came from Joe." Seong-min said.
"Really...What's that?" Cyrus asked still avoiding to look at her.
"Joe tends to hide the truth, but he's not a liar.
As for you, You're a liar Cyrus.
And once you decide to be a little more honest to me about how you feel, you'll find me ready to listen to you.
I'll lend you a shoulder to cry on." Seong-min said before she got up, "Where you going?" Cyrus asked, he finally looked at her face and Their eyes met.
"You know, You and I also share a quality." Seong-min said, "We're both tragically, Lucky."
"I don't understand."
"Of course you don't, you don't even try to."
"Seong-min...I thought you said that you won't let your feelings for me ruin our friendship." Cyrus asked.
"Were we ever truly friends? I don't think so, you don't act like friends do.
I say we're merely partners now...And about Moses, I have no problem working with you again, but like I said.
We'll do things my way, and if you try to go against my will this time.
I'll show you the real face of Young Seong-min...it's an ugly one." Seong-min replied And started walking away.
Taken back, "What the hell has gotten into her?...What does she mean by all of this?" Cyrus questioned, "Does she know something?" he questioned again.
...Meanwhile...
Soo-Min sat in the backseat of the car, sipping a drink that was already prepared for her.
"How are you, Soo-Min?" the person besides her asked.
Scoffing, "That's rich coming from the mouth of the woman who kidnapped my daughter two years ago, just because she wanted to apply pressure on her grandpa." Soo-Min replied.
Giggling, "C'mon! the past is in the past! let it go already! Besides, I didn't hurt Seong-min."
"I took the blame for everything you did! Your little stunt costed me my marriage and my daughter's mental health!" Soo-Min replied angrily, "So Stop bullshitting me and Just tell me what do you want?" She asked.
"To finish a job that my incompetent men here couldn't get done." The voice answered.
"I'm no longer An assassin, and this isn't Korea...I can't operate around here." Soo-Min replied.
"Then I guess it would be real sad if Seong-min got kidnapped again! but this time she will get hurt."
"I dare you, just Touch a hair of my daughter's, and I will slit your throat."
"Confident as always, Soo-Min.
Parenthood is such a beautiful thing! if only my child wasn't murdered, I wouldn't be seeking revenge and forcing you to help me.
but I need this to be done and as soon as possible...I have to make a certain Broad feel the pain she made me feel, when she killed my son." the voice replied.
Surprised, "Wait Soo-Hee? You found your son's killer?" Soo-Min asked.
"I did, And unless you want my niece to follow her nephew to the grave, You'll help me kill that old Wench's boy, little Sister." Soo-Hee replied smiling at Soo-Min, but her smile was nothing reassuring.
"I don't understand why do you think I can do this?" Soo-Min asked.
"As funny as this may sound, my target and you little sister, have a certain connection."
"You mean I know your target?"
"You do...Nikolai Parmar, Radka's precious boy." Soo-Hee replied making Soo-Min's eyes go wide open.
You have to confront your own reality, it's the only way for you to move forward.
