"Wouldn't Vision therapy be a better option? I read that surgeries might pose a risk for TBI patients due to things like anesthesia.

Shouldn't a surgery not be considered untill many months after the injury occured?" Jin replied questioning.

"I see that you've done some research Mister Young, You're using proper medical terms too!

Well, *Sighing* Honestly speaking, Going into surgery after a Traumatic Brain Injury Aka TBI, may pose some risks and difficulties since TBIs are a serious type of injury that could take the patient, a long time to fully recover from.

but recent studies have shown that delaying surgeries related to fixing the damage TBIs cause, for long periods of time after getting injured, doesn't really protect most of these patients from the risks you hinted at.

From my perspective, I don't think there's a reason to cause a major delay in solving Mister Parmar blurry vision problem, because vision therapy would take many months to complete.

Patients who want to a shorter recovery period so they can go back faster to their normal previous routines, mostly go into surgery...Mister Young." The doctor explained.

"Can I say something? Because frankly speaking I'm the patient here? I should decide for myself at least." Nikolai spoke up.

Lightly chuckling, "I apologize Mister Parmar, I was impressed by your boyfriend's interest in your medical condition, I spoke a lot.

And Yes, you can say whatever you want, in the end it's your body, your choice... I'm just here to assist you." The doctor replied.

"Thank you doctor...You said there's no need for a 'major' delay, does that mean there's an actual delay with having the surgery?" Nikolai asked.

"You mean to ask, how long you should wait Until you can have the surgery?" The doctor asked and Nikolai Nodded.

"Well, I suppose two week to a month." The doctor answered.

"Then, I want to have the surgery after a month...is that possible?" Nikolai said asking.

"Yes, if this is your decision." The doctor replied.

"Are you sure Niko?" Jin whispered, "Yeah! I want This!

I want to go back to living how I was, as fast as I can." Nikolai whispered back.

"Okay then, it's your decision." Jin said.

"Also, Mister Parmar." The doctor said grabbing Nikolai's attention.

"Until you can have the surgery, I suggest you would refrain from using your eyes, try keeping them closed and wear dark sunglasses." The doctor said.

...Few minutes later...

"It's almost lunch time, should I get you something or do you want want to wait until we get home?" Jin asked.

"I'll wait, I'm not hungry." Nikolai replied.

Although Nikolai couldn't see what was outside clearly, he still tried looking from his window, "Jin, earlier The doctor was impressed by you...you said some shit there that even I myself never heard of." he spoke up again.

"Ah...yeah, I got excited there all of the sudden and kept annoying the doctor." Jin replied sheepishly while driving.

"I don't think the doctor was annoyed, but I was." Nikolai said.

Trying to look at Nikolai without taking his eyes completely off the road, "Eh? Why? did i say something wrong?" Jin asked cluelessly.

"You tried to interfere with my decision-making, Jin.

You suggested Vision therapy when if you really have done your research, and know me that well, you wouldn't have protested on the surgery option, because you know how much I want to go back to work." Nikolai replied turning his head to face Jin with a glare.

Sighing, "I'm sorry, you're right...I shouldn't have spoke up like that.

it's just that I feel like it's still early for you to throw back yourself into the acting-scene again, and I have a feeling that I'm not the only one thinking that." Jin replied.

"I just want my vision back." Nikolai said.

"You've made your decision, your gonna have the surgery but you still have to wait a month to do so.

in the meantime, how about you listen to what the doctor said, stop using your eyes! you've been staring at the window and now glaring at me, wear your sunglasses at least." Jin said.

Sighing and closing his eyes, "Fine, I'll put those stupid sunglasses, give'em to me." Nikolai said.

leaning in and Opening the glove compartment on Nikolai's side, Jin pulled out a glasses case and gave it to Nikolai.

Feeling the case in his hands, Nikolai Opened it and took out the pair of sunglasses, wearing them on his face, "Are you happy now?" Nikolai asked.

"I'm Thriving." Jin replied jokingly before he glanced at the rear view mirror, and saw the car behind them.

He wasn't alarmed by the car that has been following them all this time, because it was Minnie driving behind them, since Radka has appointed her as his partner.

"Off topic but Lately I've been asking Myself, how come Minnie became a bodyguard? she's really good at it too." Jin asked.

Scoffing, "It's probably money you idiot, I bet most girls were just short on money." Nikolai replied fighting the urge to Open his eyes and glare at Jin once more.

"You still mad at me huh?" Jin said disappointed.

"I'm not that mad, I am actually in a better mood today than I've been since the day we got reunited." Nikolai replied.

Suddenly, Jin's face lit up, "Niko...did you realize something?" he asked smiling.

"Huh, realized What?" Nikolai replied, "Your speech! I don't think I heard you stutter even once this morning, and you're not pausing as much as you did before! you're talking smoothly again." Jin pointed out.

Surprised, "I actually didn't notice that at all! this adds-up to the surgery news, I had a feeling this is a good day!" Nikolai replied.

Chuckling, "You seem so excited about the surgery, I'm sure everything will work out for the better eventually, and soon enough you'll be back on the big screen." Jin said.

Happy, Nikolai smiled at little, "Jin, Wanna do something fun? to celebrate this small win of today?" he suggested.

"Something fun, hmmm...Like what?" Jin asked.

"I dunno, I was hoping you'd give me a suggestion." Nikolai replied.

"Okay...i do have an idea." Jin replied back, "Spill it, tell me!" Nikolai said enthusiastically.

"Yesterday, Seong-min and I spoke a little.

She mentioned that her mom made a suggestion that she, your dad and me all cook dinner together, which I personally don't think it's a bad idea, because Seong-Min's mom has some cooking skills that would make people cry.

Since you're technically not allowed to go outside the house, unless it's necessary like the doctor's appointment.

I was thinking, We should invite some people over, and have like a dinner party...what do you think Niko?" Jin suggested.

When things got suddenly quiet, and Nikolai didn't reply right away, Jin started feeling uneasy about his own idea.

"It's okay if you don't like the idea Niko... besides with all those bodyguards your mother has set-up around, the party might get uncomfortable and Awkward." Jin said.

"No...I actually like it, I like it a lot in fact." Nikolai replied surprising Jin.

"If we invited my dad, My mom will come too, And I can ask her to loosen up the security just for tonight.

Besides, I'm still basically blind, there's not so much I could do for fun, but a dinner party with a couple of nice people, would be a fun idea." Nikolai added.

Raising both of his eyebrows up, "Where's the real Nikolai? who are you, you alien!" Jin said jokingly.

Giggling, "Hah! Shut up you idiot!" Nikolai replied.

"Dinner party it is I guess...wow! I could get used to you being in a good mood Niko! or could it be, that you really like me that much, you agreed to my idea?" Jin said smiling.

Fighting a smirk, "Don't push your luck idiot, we just got back together...You still haven't earned your place yet." Nikolai replied.

"I think I deserve to be called some sort of a romantic nickname! it's unfair that you call me by my first name when I call you 'Niko', Niko!" Jin said.

"What are you talking about? I already gave you a nickname? I called you 'idiot' several times, idiot." Nikolai replied.

"I would really appreciate a nice, cute, none insulting nickname, Niko."

"I don't know...what to nickname you Jin, I mean you're not that creative either!

you took some letters from my name and Voila! From 'Nikolai the Niko', besides! calling me Niko is nothing original of you, my parents nicknamed me that before you."

"Okay then, Are you open for suggestions again?"

"Ugh fine, tell me...what nickname do you want, idiot?"

Thinking real hard, "How about 'Darling'?" Jin suggested nervously.

"In your Sister's dreams." Nikolai replied immediately, "That was a rather a weird thing to say...how about 'baby' 'bae' or something like that?" Jin said.

"I'll call you 'Jinnie' how about that? " Nikolai replied.

Blushing, "Jinnie?" Jin questioned, "Well duh! because my name is long enough, the nickname came from removing some letters from It.

but Jin, your name is short like too short to remove letters from, so instead I added some letters...Logic!" Nikolai replied.

"hmmm 'Niko and Jinnie'...that's very cute!" Jin said happily, "I accept that nickname for myself." he added.

Hiding his smile, "Aren't you supposed to call your sister and tell her about the dinner plan? we should also call my parents." Nikolai asked.

"Yeah! I should call Seong-min...or should I call your mom first?" Jin replied unsure.

"Call your sister first, see if they can come tonight first, maybe invite that girl Ha-yoon too.

Then we'll call my mom, I can convince her in case she'll protest." Nikolai suggested, "Okay! I'm calling Seong-min first." Jin replied enthusiastically.

...Meanwhile...

"Did you come here again to help me eat my lunch? you know I can use my other hand?" Cyrus asked.

Flustered, "There isn't many guys that turn down the chance of being fed by a girl, you should be grateful." Seong-min said.

Scoffing, "Get a load of this girl!" Cyrus replied.

"About your dad, does he know you're hospitalized too?" Seong-min asked, "No I didn't tell him, he'd freak out.

Joel also didn't tell him, why do you think the media isn't talking about either of us now? that cop does a good job covering-up for people." Cyrus replied.

"I'm just glad that the press doesn't know about our involvement, local news are only talking about Flint specifically." Seong-min said.

Suddenly, her phone's ringtone started playing, "I'll be back, I gotta take this." she said rushing outside the room.

*Beeb*

Seong-min: oppa? what's going on? where are you?

Jin: Hey Min-Min, we were out of town, we're coming back from the doctor's appointment.

What about you, is everything okay?

Seong-min: Yeah, everything is fine I'm hanging-out with Cyrus...why are you calling?

Jin: Remember when you suggested the dinner idea to me yesterday?

Seong-min: don't say! *Gasps* OMG!

Jin: Niko agreed to do it today, is it possible for your mom and Ha-yoon to join in?

Seong-min: You kidding! I'm gonna call them right now and drag them back here!

Mom and Ha-yoon, they're actually out of town too, shopping because Ha-yoon wanted to eat Korean food but didn't have any useful ingredients.

Jin: if my guess was right, she wanted to eat Bibmimbap?

Seong-min : *Gasps* You're a wizard Jin!

Jin: *chuckling* Nah, it's just that Ha-yoon's easy to read.

Seong-min: Okay, I'll call the girls for you! are you guys gonna contact Nikolai's parents?

Jin: Yeah, leave that to me and Nikolai, you make sure your mom knows.

Seong-min: Awesome! I'm gonna hang up now!

Jin: okay, bye.

Seong-min: Bye!

"Yes!" Seong-min cheered again before dialing Ha-yoon's number.
