The Cursed Child

In late Goryo,  a whole group of poor villagers crunched through the snow. They happen to be in the presence of a monster though, which feasts on human flesh over the horizon.

Jomagu is what one of the woman refers it to, and this woman cradles her baby and stepped forth, offering her baby as sacrifice to the three eyed demon but instead it crawled away.

She is convinced that a renowned demon called "Bulgasal" has cursed her child.

 At night when everyone was fast asleep, she crawled away and hung herself. Only, the baby is born first. It should have died with the mother, at least according to the shaman an old woman who claimed that the child is cursed by Bulgasal.

After 10 years, the child's father out of fear abandoned him. Shunned by the whole village, he has to survive on his own.

The village has been living in poverty and eking out a living in the frozen wilderness. Pal-bong, one of the villagers went missing one afternoon, taken by a Jomagu. It was the fourth attack in the past years and this time, Gu-bong was there this time to witness it.

Unfortunately, this bad luck is blamed on a boy with no name. It is believed that Bulgasal has come to find him on the mountain. On the same day, at night, there was another attack claiming the lives of Pal-bong's two daughters and wife.

"It is here. It has come to the village." The Old Shaman rages. "We have to take drastic measures before the whole village is wiped out." she says. "It won't stop till the boy is given him." she added.

A decision was made with Gu-bong leading the way. A witch-hunt was launched to find and kill the boy. The search began and so, the mountain was combed until one of the villagers spotted him.

"He's here!" one of the villagers shouted.  He was chased all the way to the iced lake. He steps out onto the ice, it gives way and he plunges into the water below. This boy whom no one loves is left to die.

He opens his eyes to find himself safe and awakening in a cave. He walk out and wanders off.

Not dead!!

He was found and chased to be killed again by the villagers. Caught in their middle of these vicious villages, he has no where to run to. He gave up all thoughts of escape. On the ground he wait for the cold grip of death.

Just before Gu-bong could stab him, a strange woman step up and took the blow. Taking the killing blow from this maniacal men, she fell on the ground lifeless.

Then came the boy's saviour a warrior whose reputation is known to all.

"Out of the way!" shouted one of the soldiers. "This is General Dan Su of the eagle's battalion, pay respect."

"What is going on here?" asked The General
