Chapter 1

I woke up groggily, standing up before immediately noticing something different.

Vince: "The heck... This isn't my room."

I looked around to find myself in a room that appeared to be from an expensive hotel, impeccably clean, with shiny, luxurious furnishings, and more.

Vince: "What the heck is happening to me now..."

Suddenly, a floating blue screen materialized in front of me.

<{Greetings, Kaiser Vincent}>

Vince: "What?"

<{Welcome. I'm well aware this is rather sudden, but... You've been transmigrated into an AU of yourself.}>

Vince: "An Alternate Universe... But why?"

<{Nothing too crazy. I was just bored and decided to grant the wish of some random person.}>

Vince: "No ulterior motive?"

<{Nope, you're free to do whatever you want. After all, this is a Lesser Timeline and doesn't follow the main timeline.}>

Vince: "So whatever I do won't affect the main timelines."

<{Yep, you can literally do whatever want.}>

Vince: "Do I have some type of system?"

<{Of course, but it's not like those systems that can interact with their users. The system you have only give missions, oh, and it also has a shop.}>

Vince: "Is there some type of starter gear?"

<{There is, here.}>

<[3 Random Cards]>

Vince: "Cards... Don't tell me it's gacha."

<{Yes.} >

Vince: "WHAT THE FUCK!"

<{Don't worry, there's actually no gacha. This is just a one-time thing. You'll receive three random character cards. They can be anything: race, weapons, skills, techniques, anything, really. But I'll make it easier, so it's cards that you know about since there are an infinite amount of universes and timelines, lot things don't about.}>

Vince: "That's good; I was worried about that actually."

<{Anyway, why don't you start?}>

Vince: "Yeah, yeah, sure."

The three cards appeared in my hand, all of them wrapped in plastic with a question mark. I tore open the first card and inside, I found...

Vince: "Taki... I'm starting to remember all the times I fought a toxic Taki in Ro Ghoul. What do I do with the card anyway?"

Vince: "Is it possible to get more of these?"

<{Nope. As I said, this is a one-time thing.}>

Vince: "Damn, so they have to be good characters... I already have a decent one, so just two more."

Opening the next card, I was somewhat disappointed since the character wasn't that strong, but... He did have something thats pretty strong, so it's fine.

Vince: "In that case... I'll change my race to a One-Eyed Ghoul. But, can you make me a natural One-Eyed Ghoul so I can eat both human food and humans?"

Vince: "By the way, since I'll be a One-Eyed Ghoul and I won't really be EATING humans, I'll age faster since I need RC cells. So how will the RC cells work?"

Vince: "Can I also get a Kakuja from doing missions?"

<{You can. In fact, you can gain abilities that help deal with the insanity effect of Kakuja.}>

Vince: "Alright... Then for Daniel... I'll take his Copy Talent."

<{What about Hakari?}>

Vince: "I'll take his cursed energy. This is the best option for me right now. It's not like I have experience with cursed energy to the point I could use Domain Expansion. Plus, if I take the domain, it would be worthless since I need Hakari's cursed technique to even start."

Vince: "Alright... Can you tell me more about this world I'm in?"

Although parents aren't sure about marriage since haven't shown any amazing results, her currently trying separate two you.}>

Vince: "Honestly, I don't care about being separated, since it's not like I'm the same person that fell in love with her."

<{I know I haven't said this, but you're currently unemployed since your 'fiancée' promised you that won't ever have to work.}>

Vince: "Crud. So if I break up with her, not only will I have to get a job, but the information about me getting dumped by a princess will probably give me a bad reputation, so getting a job will be harder..."

<{Welp, it's been fun talking, but I need to go.}>

Vince: "Sure, but will you return?"

<{Who knows, I'm pretty busy, and today just so happens to be my day off, which hasn't happened in a few hundred years.}>

Vince: "Darn, there are still a lot of things I wanted to know, like the plot of this story."

<{You're the MC in this world, but as I said, is a Lesser Timeline which basically means all sorts of crazy what-ifs happen, and timeline, you just so happen to die dumb way.}>

Vince: "Was that a reference?"

<{No?} >

Vince: "Well, whatever, I'm hungry, so I guess I'll cook."

Going to the bathroom, I took a bath before going downstairs to see a luxurious living room. There were all sorts of expensive things here. Next was the kitchen, which was pretty big, with lots of different ingredients too.

I continued searching and found some things that I wanted to eat and just went with it, which was just pancakes and waffles with chocolate syrup.

After I finished making them, I made my way to the table and found a note there.

Vince: "Hm."

-Hello dear, I'm sorry I can't eat breakfast with you. Something urgent happened, and I was called by Father and Mother. I'll be home by 6.

Vince: "She's... really expressive?"

Vince: "I've never been in a relationship before, so I don't even know how to deal with her..."

I finished eating my pancakes and waffles before exploring. Going to the basement, which was basically the training room, I found a large, empty room filled with training gear, like weights, all sorts of weapons, and some training dummies.

Now the first thing I practiced was my kagune. I summoned my kagune, or Taki's kagune, and my arm was coated with it, turning it into a blade. On my left side were my wings; honestly, they didn't really look like wings, but whatever.

Vince: "Let's see how accurate my aim is."

The wings started to vibrate before shooting crystallized shards, and they were pretty good. I shot more than 13 shards; they were the size of a person's palm, and almost all of them hit the head.

Next were the bigger shards; Taki was able to shoot shards the size of people, but he was only able to shoot a small amount in the manga.

This time I focused on increasing the power of the shards. As I could feel my left getting heavier, five shards, the size of an average person, shot out, completely piercing through the training dummy's head, but only two actually hit the target.

And so this is what I did for the rest of the day, just practicing my kagune. Luckily, the training dummies are actually VR, so I can just keep on destroying them without having to change them.

-9 Hours Later

While I was training, I managed to do what Taki did, changing the shape of my kagune. In the manga, Taki was able to shape his kagune, so I have two wings instead of one, and I removed the arm blade since it's unnecessary right now.

Suddenly, I heard the door open and several footsteps, specifically the footsteps of three people.

I went upstairs heading to where the footsteps were, and it was Vanessa's bodyguards.

???- Kaiser Vincent, from now onwards, you and the mistress are no longer allowed to meet by the order of the head.

Vince: So it's happening...

???- It is. I hope you don't try to take revenge, since I won't hesitate to kill you. Blame yourself for being so weak.

Vince: Yeah, yeah, let me just pack my things.

I went back to my room and grabbed a hiking bag and started packing my clothes, and I also grabbed some snacks.

???- Come on, the mistress asked me for a favor. Here.

The guard gave me a credit card.

Vince: What's this for?

???- It's her gift. There's a total of 10 million dollars on the card.

I took the card and left. I first went looking for a place to stay at, right now I'm just roaming around the city I was in, which is called Kishin City. Kishin means fierce god, literally because a god died here and is the reason why there's such a high concentration of mana.

As for how I can withstand the high concentration of Ardor, there are devices that can deal with that. My Ardor supply is lower than average, so I need three of these devices. I don't really like wearing stuff like rings or earrings, but these things help me, so whatever.

It's been like half an hour, and I'm still looking for a place to stay when suddenly I saw something in the corner of my eye.

Vince: "The hell?"

???- Hmm... So you're the one who made my cute cousin go crazy for.

Vince: "Who are you supposed to be?"

Vienna: "Oh my, that's embarrassing. Sorry, I'm Vienna, Vanessa's cousin."

Vince: "What's your reason for being here?"

Vienna: "Nothing really, I just wanted to see who made cousin so crazy. Seriously, if you saw her, she even attacked her father, the head of the clan."

Vince (Thoughts): "Jeez, she really does love this version of me. Once I become strong enough, what the heck do I even do with her..."

Vince: "If that's all, then I'm going."

I left her behind as she simply floated around, following me.

Vince: "What are you doing?"

Vienna: "I'm bored."

Vince: "I'm not a comedian, go find someone else to entertain you."

She just looked at me with a smile while I gave her a deadpan face.

Vienna: "You're boring."

She flew away.

Vince: "Finally."

I continued with my search, eventually finding a decent hotel to stay at. With the amount of money I have, I can stay here for as long as I want.

Vince: "The room is decent at least. It's clean, and it's huge too."

I started unpacking, putting the snacks and other things where they should be.

Vince: "Next thing I should do is stock up on food."

Going to the supermarket, I got some basic things like more clothes. Then I went to buy some ingredients for cooking and some meat like chickens, beef, pork, etc.

After that was done, I went back home. I didn't have a car, so I walked there, but then something happened.
