Entry to dark palace 2

Standing in front of huge looming black building, Su Chen stopped at the gate to admire it's rugged beauty.

It was said that the fire that took Lee Jong Hyun's mother's death destroyed the palace walls and they were still burnt black in colour and king in his mourning for his sister refused to rebuilt it. He asked young prince to take other palace but he refused and slowly time made people forget about him. He, who was supposed to be the real crown prince now lived the life of forgotten identity.

Su Chen was confused, why was he made to investigate him when there were enough princes and royal consorts and concubines to investigate.

Clearing his expression he knocked on the door, while other palace had rush of activities and servants the dark palace was eerily quiet. after a while the door was finally creaked open to reveal stoic face of a young man, he was none other than Jong Joon.

Lee Jong Hyun initially had huge number of guards to keep an eye on him but in last ten years seeing his solitude life, workers and guards were slowly removed to spy or work somewhere else. Though King Lee So Jun didn't know that it was going to be his biggest mistake which he will regret immensely later on.

Jong Joon nodded and let Su Chen pass inside to serve the prince. As Su Chen entered inside his eyes roamed at every nook and cranny to see all entry and exit point which he could use later on. So busy in his evaluation he missed the young prince who was sitting in front of a long table writing something..

When finally his eyes landed on the prince, a gasp came out involuntarily. With his head bent, Jong Hyun was completely immersed in his work, his hairs long and wild swayed in the breeze that was coming from the window, his muscular chest was glistening in moonlight. His eyes were almond shaped and dark with a intensity that was capable to make her forget all about mind control. Though he was wearing a white baji [1] his thigh muscles were taut and strong.

Just a look at his overall body made him shake his head in disbelief, how could he be the crippled Prince of Kwan kingdom. His body had lethal grace and charm that was only kept contained by people who did martial arts.

Jong Hyun turned to look at gaping Su Chen, he felt his lips smirking as he saw the shocked expression on her face. His eyes remained fixed on her noticing each and every nuance of expression he could find. He even noticed slight red tinge on her cheeks. If there was another place like this, she would have been given severe thrashing by now for staring at a royalty directly.

Jong Joon who stood beside Su Chen cleared his throat bringing Su Chen back. Su Chen quickly settled himself and walked forward to place breakfast on the table directly in front of Lee Jong Hyun.

When Jong Hyun saw the spread , he raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything. While Su Chen can't point out but seeing prince Jong Hyun he felt a bit of familiarity with this man. But she knew her position and after serving she quickly bowed and left the chamber.

Jong Hyun pointed at the direction Su Chen went and asked Jong Joon to follow him. Jong Joon shook his head as he looked at the man who was slightly dazed and confused as he made his way back.
