Chapter 43: Living the Dream
“Look here, mister, I don’t think you can blackmail me, simply because you know about my ventures,” Chris stated angrily. “As it is, my wife and my family members do know about it, so your acquaintance is a bit late with his information. He should try something else. Another thing is that I am patient enough to wait for the right investor.”
In actual fact, Chris had informed only Ruby and Lieschen about his experiments in the garage. He did not tell his parents yet, because he knew that they would overreact immediately out of fear of him causing an explosion in the garage.
When he was ten years old one of Chris’ science experiments had blown up in the garage one day and he had narrowly escaped harm. As a result his father had made Chris swear that he would never try science experiments in the garage again.
