45 : Our Hearts { TW : Attempted r*pe, Violence }

When Akihito came home that night, the house was immersed in the dark.

When he turned on the light, he almost chocked up, seeing Haru sitting on the couch in the dark.

The omega was in pajama and he seemed tired.

Akihito had already noticed the sighing that Haru was letting out now and then and his strange behaviors. Haru looked like he wanted to say something but eventually he would just keep quiet.

Akihito didn't want to pressure the omega. He had many secrets too. Haru did not know yet that his current boyfriend - soon to be husband - was working with his ex boyfriend - and fated partner.

Akihito was still thinking about how to tell him that but he couldn't yet. He was afraid that Haru would feel less safe now that Silas wasn't far from him.

" - Hey," Akihito said softly as he sat next to his omega.

Haru looked at him and before he knew it he was already crying. Akihito didn't understand what was happening. Another depressed episode ? Did something happen to Haru ? Why was he alone today ? Where were Mila and Aaron ?

" - Wh… Something happened ?" Akihito said as he crouched down in front of Haru.

The omega just kept crying. Without a word he slowly brought his small and trembling hands to his stomach and looked down at his belly while crying.

Akihito took a while before he understood what was going on.

" - You… you're pregnant ?" Akihito asked softly.

Without ceasing to cry, Haru nodded. He didn't look up, afraid to see Akihito's reaction.

On the other hand, Akihito was silent. His heart was pounding faster and he wanted to lift the omega and hug him while thanking him for this gift. But he couldn't find the words.

His omega was crying as if Akihito was scolding him and he was protecting his belly as if…

Akihito bended down and kissed Haru's hand which were still on his stomach.

Haru slowly stopped crying. Akihito removed the omega's hand and placed a kiss on the omega's stomach through his pajama's shirt.

Haru wasn't crying anymore, only his weak sniffing were heard. Akihito looked up to see the omega's moist eyes, his red nose and cheeks. His face was wet from tears and his small nose was running. Despite his state, Akihito found him beautiful.

He brought Haru's face to him and pecked his moist lips then slowly he kissed him making the omega moan in his mouth.

When he noticed that Haru was finally holding him, he lifted up the omega, forcing the latter to look at him.

" - Why were you crying ?" he asked. " Were you afraid that I will be angry ?"

Haru's eyes started to water again.

Akihito sat down on the couch with the omega on his lap.

" - I'm… happy," Akihito whispered with a shaking voice. " These past weeks you were so exhausted and sad I thought you were tired of living with me but… turned out I'm going to be a father," Akihito said with a smile.

His tears fell down on his cheeks and Haru started panicking. He wiped the man cheeks and cupped his face.

" - I… I…"

" - Hum…" Akihito softly hummed, showing him he was listening and that he could take his time to talk.

" - I'm… going to be a mama…" Haru said with a weak voice. " And you're going to be a papa."

Akihito nodded.

" - And… I want to have the baby… I want us to have the baby," Haru continued courageously.

" - And I want to have a family with you," Akihito said happily.

Haru smiled relieved to hear it.

" - Tomorrow, let's get married for real. Not just word to reassure you or a promise for the future. No. Let's become a family tomorrow," Akihito said.

He already said these words but to the last minute, Haru felt depressed so they didn't go to the city hall to sign up the marriage certification.

" - And… let's consult Pam together now," he continued.

Now that he thought a bit, when Haru asked him last week if he could go to the hospital, he should have ask himself if the Omega was keeping something from him. He just thought that Haru was braver now to confront the outside world.

" - And no more secrets !" Akihito said. " For our next baby, you have to tell me right away !"

Haru blushed. So that meant Akihito wanted another baby with him.

"- Pam… said it might be my last chance to have a baby…" Haru revealed.

Akihito placed his forehead against the omega's and stroked his back.

" - We will have a big family. I promise you. If you want ten babies I will tried my best to help you have them," Akihito said. " We're both in this together. First or last, I will properly make you happy… make both of you happy," he said while caressing Haru's belly.

Haru nodded, feeling his tears coming up again. He initiated the kiss first and Akihito smiled as he kissed him back.

Haru was so happy. He felt stupid to think that Akihito would react like Silas and abandon him. Akihito was the perfect man, lover and husband he could dream about. Everything was perfect.

The next morning, Akihito called his family to tell them that he and Haru were going to register their marriage. Before Alicia could be angry for the rush marriage, Akihito told them that Haru was pregnant and that he didn't want to put things on stop anymore. Akihito had never felt this certain in his life. He was in love with Haru and he wanted to protect the omega. He wanted to claim him and he wanted Haru to be an Ogata.

Zaizen and Mila assisted them in the city hall where Haru and Akihito became officially a married couple.

Akihito surprised Haru with a ring he had bought when he first asked Haru to marry him.

Maybe because he was pregnant, Haru cried for hours even when the lawyer - Zaizen, Akihito and Gisele's college friend - was reading the vow. Thomas couldn't help but laugh. He was first surprised to see that his cold friend wanted to get married not to an alpha woman chosen by his family, nor with his fated pair but to an innocent looking omega who looked far too young.

For the first time in his life, Haru felt satisfied. When he saw his new full name he couldn't help but smile with tears.

Haru Ogata. It was him now. He wasn't the abandoned son of the Fierce's family anymore, he wasn't Silas' tortured fated partner either. He was Haru Ogata, the loving wife of Akihito Ogata.

To celebrate that, they went to the Ogata's mansion.

Alicia welcomed them with happiness and Ren gave Haru his blessing while asking him if Akihito was kind enough to him. He also said if his son was making him exhausted he was more than welcomed here because it was his house and his family henceforth.

" - Married !" Flore exclaimed with a huge smile on his lips.

Gisele nodded. Flore came to visit Gisele after the woman called him, saying Gordon will be in town for a week.

" - When ?" Flore asked eagerly.

" - Yesterday morning," Gisele answered while she was reading her papers.

" - Why was I not invited ?" Flore asked, genuinely sad.

" - It was just a marital certificate," Gisele sighed. " Their wedding is postponed until Haru gives birth. "

" - Haru… is pregnant !?!!!!" Flore exclaimed, while standing from the couch.

Gordon was laughing. He was worried Flore was still depressed but he was happy to see that the omega was in good shape and had a lot of friends and people he loved to the point of being sad, angry and excited for them.

" - Yeah," Gisele smiled. " Seems like everything is going well for them."

" - I'm going to be an uncle !" Flore said happily.

" - Aunty would be the correct word," Gisele said. " Arnold will be the uncle."

" - Arnold ?" Gordon asked while sipping his tea.

" - Flore's fated partner," Gisele replied.

" - So you finally found him ! " Gordon said happy, eyes glowing.

" - Hum…" Flore hummed with a faint blush on his cheeks.

He sat back next to the beta man.

" - So how is it to live with him ?" Gisele asked.

" - Weird… Sometimes he makes me angry and other time I need to see him and feel his warm. Most of the time we're fighting… I mean… I argue with him. He accepts everything from me even the most ridicule things. And…"

" - And ?" Gordon asked curiously, noticing the silent pause.

" - Last month, he came… "

" - You mean the man who claimed you five years ago ?" Gordon said.

Flore nodded. Gisele stopped what she was doing to stare at the omega.

" - My body felt attracted to him but I was afraid… more afraid than ever. Even if my body wanted to be near him my heart was rejecting him. It was awful. But… Arnold saved me and I felt more at ease…" Flore explained.

" - It's possible," Gordon said. " Arnold and you are fated pair but maybe, way before you were claimed, your heart and Arnold's heart bonded."

" - So… that's why even if I'm claimed, I don't feel repulsed by Arnold's touch ? But… I hated Arnold back then…"

" - You said your destined partner is a dominant alpha, right ? And that at that time you were just a recessive ?"

Flore nodded to Gordon's question.

" - Bond between fated pairs is different than between normals couples of alphas and omegas. I can't confirm it with test or material but, my guess is you became a real omega when you met Arnold. That time, even if you were not conscious about it, you were attracted to him. And Arnold simply responded to your power of attraction. A dominant alpha can resist to his fated pair if he want to. If Arnold had reject you in the past, you wouldn't be able to smell his scent as something good. If you were capable to smell him it was because he was…"

" - Marking me unintentionally…" Flore understood.

" - Yeah. That's why when you were assaulted, you were disgusted by the alphas' pheromones surrounded you at that time. That's also why you suddenly recognized Arnold as your fated one. Because he slowly marked his territory. You said he visited you frequently. It's because his inner alpha was pushing him towards you. You were actually calling for him through your scent."

Now that Flore thought about it, he remembered that Arnold had said that it was thanks to Flore's scent that he knew the omega was his fated partner. He also said it was love at first sight…

" - You were marked but you never felt the need to find the man who marked you. It's because your bonded heart by Arnold and your marked body by your attacker were in conflict. To not break you they… decided to let you… in peace though you woul eventually react to both men. "

" - But… I still can't be claimed by Arnold…" Flore whispered.

" - If you're indeed bonded with Arnold you can remove your gland forever. You will still be bonded but you will not have a scent nor the pheromones of an omega. You will be just… another simple human being. A beta with a womb."

" - Without my scent… Arnold could break his bond with me…." Flore hesitated.

" - That's the risk. If he loves you, he will accept you as you are," Gisele intervened.

" - He doesn't know…" Gordon concluded by himself.

" - It's strange, right… I blamed him for years for what happened to me but I can't tell him that I can't be his anymore. " Flore said with a sad smile.

" - What are you going to do ?" Gordon asked.

Flore shrugged.

" - We agreed to be together for three month. There is still a month. I think… I'm going to keep this for me. " Flore replied while looking at his reflexion on his drink.

" - What are you going to do after the trial ?" Gisele asked.

" - Coming back here," Flore said. " Where could I go ?"

Gisele and Gordon exchanged a sad look.

Flore was afraid of Arnold's reaction. He might play the tough guy, but he knew that deep inside him, he was attached to the alpha. Deep inside, he was a weak omega, a small man when it came to love. He knew all of that. So keeping it a secret was for him the right choice. Until he and Arnold split up again…

His heart started to hurt at that thought. But it was the only solution he could think about…

Gordon was almost dragging his feet to Yuto's apartment. He told the man that he was coming today, even if he was in town since yesterday. He was afraid to meet his husband.

Why did Yuto lie to him ? And with who had he spend his day if he wasn't at work ? He didn't even tell Gordon he was sick… Though Gordon thought it might be a lie too.

For the time being, he was on his way to Yuto's house.

He texted his husband to tell him he will be there around 8pm but he was there earlier than expected. It was still 6pm. Yuto was probably still at work.

Gordon stopped in his walk when he noticed his husband outside of the apartment. He was talking with a young man. Gordon didn't have to look long to know it was an omega.

He observed them while they were talking, smiling and laughing with no care for people around.

The omega would sometimes blush or maybe it was too cold. It was already dark and the weather was pretty cold. Christmas was near and the town was already decorated for the holiday.

When a taxi arrived, Yuto opened the door for the omega and after looking around furtively, he bended down to kiss the young omega on the lips.

Gordon paled. His heart was pounding faster and faster and a lump in his throat was preventing him to breath properly.

He clenched his fists and stared at the taxi which was already driving far from the building.

Gordon waited that Yuto entered the building then he crouched down and cried. He was crying like a small child. Some people stopped to ask him if he was hurting somewhere but Gordon couldn't tell them that his heart was broken…

His husband was cheating on him.

After a while, Gordon decided to wait until 8pm in a near coffee shop. When it was time, he dragged his feet again towards the building. He entered the real estate and rode the lift. Inside there were two women who were whispering while looking at him.

Gordon could hear them properly but he didn't answer them back. "Do you think he knows?", "Poor him…", " I guess they're going to divorce. Otherwise why would he bring his lover here…"

Gordon cleared his throat to shut them up. He already knew he was pitiful. He knew it so he didn't need people to gossip about it.

When the elevator opened its doors, he walked away without looking at the women.

He was about to input the door code but he decided to knock instead. After several seconds, Yuto opened the door. He smiled widely as if he was really happy to see his husband.

Gordon noticed that Yuto changed his clothes. He wasn't in the suit he was wearing earlier. Now he was in a simple grey tracksuit.

Gordon let the man pulled him inside while talking excitedly. Gordon couldn't hear anything.

His eyes were scanning the apartment. And he noticed things he missed when he came yesterday. The smell of perfume… and a faint scent of omega in heat.

" - Put your coat in the room," Yuto told him.

Gordon smiled as a reply. The bedroom was the most clean of the house. The bed was made and there was nothing scattered on the floor.

Gordon sneered. He should have notice it… Yuto wasn't the type to clean and yesterday when Gordon came to clean the house, he remembered the bedroom was clean compared to the others rooms of the apartment.

" - Babe ?" Yuto called him, worried.

Gordon took off his coat and put it on the chair of the desk. He then joined Yuto in the kitchen while the man was making the dinner.

" - How's your cold ?" Gordon asked without much feeling.

He was already tired and he just wanted to go back in the countryside.

" - Better," Yuto answered before kissing Gordon on his forehead.

Gordon smiled tenderly, pained by the confort he had felt by this small action.

During the dinner, Yuto told him he worked until 7pm today because he had to make up for his absence from yesterday. He was talking too much for Gordon. The latter was playing with his food.

" - Hum… You came in town today right ?" Yuto suddenly asked.

Gordon stopped playing with his food and looked up to see the man nervous gaze though his expression was pretty much neutral.

" - I'm here since yesterday," Gordon replied genuinely.

Yuto stopped eating and his troubled face seemed funny to Gordon.

" - I was with my sister. After you called me to tell me your were sick, I came here to bring food and clean the house. I thought you were sleeping so I didn't wake you up, " Gordon lied so smoothly that he was surprised by himself. " I wanted to surprise you after visiting Gisele but I thought it was better to tell you today that I was in town."

Yuto found it hard to swallow his food. For a brief moment, he thought Gordon knew he wasn't there yesterday and that he lied.

" - Yeah… I… slept right after our call. The medecine was making me sleepy. So… you didn't come in the bedroom ?"

Gordon looked at his cold cream pasta and shrimps. Yesterday, the bedroom was the first room he wanted to clean. So, yes, he went inside. But there was no one.

" - No. I told you. I didn't want to wake you," Gordon said.

Yuto sighed internally.

He stared at his husband. Gordon was 32 already and for a beta, he seemed young with his feminine features, his baby face and his big eyes. Gordon was indeed a beautiful man. That was the first thing Yuto had noticed when he first met him. And now, he was happily married to Gordon.

Gordon was devoted to him and… in the contrary, Yuto was sleeping with his patient on the side. He tried many time to break up with the omega but he couldn't… he knew he wasn't in love with him but… he just couldn't hurt him.

The omega came around when life was getting harder for Yuto. Not seeing Gordon was rough to him mentally and physically.

His job was hard and frustrating. And no one was at home to welcome him after a tough and busy day in the hospital.

That was when he met the omega, Maki. The young man was in the emergency after a bad accident. Yuto was in charge of him and his reeducation.

Slowly, he started to talk about himself with the omega and eventually they became friends. One night, the omega told him in tears, that he was in love with him. Yuto wasn't able to resist his charm, he kissed him. But he immediately regretted it. Things should have stay there but, the more they met the more it was hard for him to reject the omega. Until one day, Maki went in heat while Yuto and him were taking a stroll in a park.

Yuto had panicked and brought him to his house. But he couldn't hold out against the tempting omega so they had sex. As a beta, Yuto could withstand an omega in heat, he knew he had let his instinct have the upper hand.

Since then, Maki and him would have sex every time the omega had his heat. Their relationship was going on like this for two years already, and Yuto was getting more and more attached to the omega.

But now… having Gordon in front of him again, he remembered all why he decided to marry this man. Gordon was his life. And just thinking he was betraying his lifelong partner, he felt guilty…

After the dinner, Gordon helped Yuto cleaning before he went to the bathroom to take a shower. When he saw a pill on the ground, he picked it and almost laughed from his stupidity in front of the contraceptive pink pill for omegas.

In the living room, Yuto was choosing a movie on Netflix when he received a message from Maki.

He looked behind him to see if Gordon was still in the bathroom.

Then he opened the message.

[ My heat is not calming down… ] Maki had wrote.

[ I can't come tonight. My husband is here.] Yuto replied.

[ I know but it's hurting me. I really need you… ]

[ We did it a lot today. It should calm down after you slept.]

[ Please Yu~ I will not monopolize you all the night. Just an hour… ]

[ What about your suppressants ?]

[ I don't have any. I have to stop by the drugstore to buy some.]

[ Don't go outside ! Your scent might attract bad people…. I'll come. Wait for me.]

[ Thank you Yu~ Love you <3 ]

[ I love you too. Take a rest. I'll be there in twenty minutes. ]

The door from the bathroom opened up making Yuto jump slightly. Gordon went straight to the bedroom.

" - Babe. The hospital just send me a message for an emergency. I have to go but I will…"

His words perished on his lips when he saw Gordon put his coat back.

" - Eh ? You're not staying ?" Yuto asked, confused. " You don't have to go. I will not be long. Just an hour or two, " Yuto explained.

Gordon walked towards the door. Yuto grabbed his arm before his husband reached the entry.

Gordon's eyes were watering. He was about to cry.

" - Babe ? What's wrong ?" Yuto asked worried.

Without a word Gordon put the pill on the commode next to the entry.

Yuto's heart skipped a beat.

" - It's just a pill I had in my pocket when I was prescribing them to a patient today. That fell on the ground so I put it in my pocket," Yuto explained calmly.

Gordon started to cry.

" - Babe ?" Yuto asked softly.

Fear was slowly wrapping his heart and he knew he was about to loose…

" - I thought I had to wait for you…" Gordon said. " I thought that if I waited you will eventually tell me the truth. But you dare lie to me ?!"

" - I'm… It's just a pill ! Why are you so upset !?"

Yuto couldn't understand. Yes. He lied about the pill but even if he didn't say anything it was just a pill. Why would a mere pill make Gordon cry ?

" - I cleaned the house yesterday," Gordon said while wiping his tears.

" - Yeah. You told me, " Yuto was confused again.

" - We're married for years ! Everytime I come in town you know full well I come here first. " Gordon said. " I was already there when you call to tell me you were sick. I was already there for hours, waiting for you !" He screamed.

Yuto turned pale and let go of Gordon's arm. He suddenly felt dizzy.

" - You… you lied to me ?" Yuto asked in a whisper, like he couldn't believe it.

Gordon laughed like a madman.

" - You fucking cheater ! I saw you kiss the omega outside earlier and you dare ask why I lied to you ? Did you know that everyone in this building know that you're cheating on me with a young omega ?"

Yuto clenched his fists. He couldn't say anything. He was panicking. His cellphone suddenly rang. It was Maki. Gordon ripped the phone out of his hands and answered. Yuto hadn't been fast enough to stop him.

" - You're almost there ?" The omega asked with a soft and charming voice. " I don't have condoms here so buy some with the suppressants. We can't do it raw today, I can't find my pill. "

Yuto felt as if he was being bled out. His tears flowed down when he saw Gordon's silent tears.

" - Yu~ ?" Maki asked.

" - He's coming," Gordon replied in a broken voice before hanging up.

He was about to go when Yuto embraced him from behind.

" - Please…" he was crying. " Don't go…. Please I need you Gordon. Please…"

Gordon tried to push him away, but Yuto turned him and crashed his lips on Gordon's to kiss him fervently.

Gordon was struggling to push him. But Yuto was too strong. The man was already undressing him.

" - Stop!!!! " Gordon was screaming through his tears.

But Yuto took off his pants and shoved him hard against the door, ready to enter him, when Gordon bit Yuto's lips until they bled. Yuto had to stop because of the pain and Gordon took the opportunity to kick him in the groin. Yuto fell, dying of pain.

Without looking back Gordon escaped from the apartment. He ran so fast not minding his torn shirt, his unbuckled pants and his bare feet. He had a bruise on his arm because Yuto had hold him too strongly.

Crying, he was running as if his life was depending of that.

He was about to cross the street when he felt someone tugged on his arm and dragged him back on the sidewalk before the truck, which was driving fast, could hit him.

Gordon thought it was Yuto, so he was about to scream but he met a stern and worried look.

" - Zaizen…" he sighed with a shaky voice, relieved.

He lurched on his weak legs and lost consciousness.
