Chapter 16

New year party

Sunita didn't speak to Suraj as they sang jab tu sath nai hota, but because both of their ego's were so big they didn't take go to each other and try to talk it out, on top of that Sunita was going through her monthly cycle. Which made her fight and talk back to people , she was also in a lot of pain , which stopped her from reaching out to him whereas Suraj just didnt talk to her because of his huge, manly ego.

After two days Suraj lost his will to keep ignoring her and kept trying to call her but Sunita didn't answer his phone calls , at last, out of frustration Suraj called Anju, Sunita's mom and got to know that she wasnot well but because Suraj forcefully made Anju tell him what was wrong with her she revealed Sunita's problem and said that she couldn't

talk with anyone, nor could she move for 2 days . Suraj said bye to Anju and ended the call (.This was on the 30th of December).



( 31st of December in the morning ) they both planned lot of things to do together on New Year's Eve ,and Suraj's friends were as well involved, even Samarth was involved in. Suraj was not in the right position to think about anything so he asked for help from his mother Naina.

NAINA POV:-

Naina to suraj :- "I can't help you in this situation, Sunita is not well right now and I will not force her to do anything she doesn't want to, you understand?"

How do I tell mom the real reason? I will get lots of beatings for making her angry for the third time.

Then Sudan said to Naina "please try to understand mom, please just do it for your only, pampered, eye taking, lovely son."

At last Naina agreed and again tried to ask by taking Sunita out.

ANJU POV:-

Naina :- "hi anjuji , how are you ? I have to request something, if you are free now that is."

Anju :- "hi nainaji , what is it?"

Naina :- "the kids have decided to go out for the new year's eve . Can Sunita go with them till 10.30 pm?"

Anju :- "sorry , nainaji that's impossible, she's on her period, she refuses to move anywhere, she just moves out bed to go to the bathroom. Sunita told me to deny everyone's wishes to go near her. even Suraj's. If you want to convince her to go out with Suraj and his friends for a New Year's eve dinner you are welcome to try."

Naina :- "ok I will talk to Sunita and ask her if she's doing well.".

SUNITA Pov :-

Naina- " hello Sunita, how are you?"

Sunita - "pranam mummyji, how are you? I am doing fine."

Naina :- I can hear the pain in her words Naina said to herself "Suraj and his friends want to go out for dinner with you. Will you go with them?"

Anju :- "sorry mummyji , i can't go, my periods aren't the best , I can barely move. Please don't get angry with me aunty if i go I'll spoil the others moods. I dont want that to happen, especially with Suraj . I can hurt their fun with my bad mood", Suraj heard everything , he thought that she didn't want to hurt him by telling him the truth , he'll for sure get a scolding by his family at home.

If tomorrow's program can be fixed , i will try my best if it's full day too.

Naina - "it's ok sunita I can hear the pain in your voice , it's okay. I will pass on your message to them. if there is a problem please tell me, I will drag him by the ears."

Sunita - "nai aunty he's too good for me, his heart is too pure. It's just that I'm not feeling well. In advance, a happy New Year to you aunty, tell my new year wishes to the others too maa." She says bye and disconnect the call.

Suraj was deep in thought "why did Sunita not say anything to naina, she appreciates me and praises me. I scolded her even though it wasn't her fault . Kabir told me it was a sudden surprise party arranged by her father without her knowing. She wasn't picking up my phone calls, now there was no way left to apologize her."

Suraj called her three times but there was no response from her , that was because she was sleeping.

Suraj goes to Sunita's home in the morning at breakfast time , without her knowing as well, Sunita rubbed her eyes , she didn't see Suraj yet. Sunita tells her mom "please tell them that I can't go today as well, my stomach is hurting really badly. I thought I could manage the pain but i can't. Please ask them if it's possible to reschedule it to this evening i will try to bear the pain, what's the use of going out of we can't enjoy it. At evening i will take a painkiller. Maa mujhe bhuk lag raha hai bhahut sara , kucch do khaane ke liye? But no milk plz maa. Anju stared her . Anju asked "what will Suraj eat?" Listening in to the conversation Sunita's eyes widen and she asks her mother "why he will he be here as well? He's supposed to be at his home not here." Sunita sighed and just said "Please can I have breakfast now?"

Sunita pov :-

Sunita talked to herself saying "I wanted to avoid him, but he came to my home. It's ok, kid, I will see how you will make up for the things you said to me that hurt me . First i will give you hard time and then later i will forgive you"

They went to see a movie and Sunita kept asking for snacks every next fifteen minutes, she didnt let him do anything romantic with her , if he held her hand she glared him. As movie was just about to finish Suraj was forgiven because of his charm and genuine apology.

For lunch they went to a nearby resturant and had lunch together, they even fed each other. Then Suraj dropped her off at home and said he will pick her up during the evening.

Suraj picked Sunita up at 6, Suraj was looked very handsome.

Suraj and sunita spent some time boating, Sunita's cousins were also there with them.

As they were sitting in the boat , Sunita sat on the seat with a fearful expression but when Suraj comes near her, her expression changes just a bit.They speak to each other with their eye expressions, he seeks permission and she gives him the permission to do so.

It was 7 pm and the sky was pitch black, it was wintertime and the air was chilly and again she was in Suraj's jacket with kurtis on where as Sueah was wearing jeans and a T-shirt, background songs were playing, the environment was very romantic. The boat was parked in an isolated area , the song that was playing was hua madhyam, aur chand jaalne lagaa .

Sunita closed her eyes and moved her face closer and closer to his , the rest of the kiss was controlled by Suraj. By the time they separated from each other's lips, they left for dinner as his friends and cousins were calling them.

Suraj and Sunita reached the restaurant and there stood all their friends, Deersj, Kavita , Veeran were there. They all entered the restaurant together. Suraj did the introductions and Sunita was introduced to them by Suraj . They exchanged their greetings to each other. They ordered wine for boys and soup and starters for girls ( you will think about how Sunita didnt get any clues , she was very innocent, they were having vine with cola .)

While they were having dinner , suddenly a voice was heard "you know what my inlaw? My friend is so innocent and naive that when his parents told him to marry you and he silently obeyed , he never told then how he felt ." The atmosphere changed drastically and everyone looked Sunita with pitiful expression in their eyes but Sunita's face had a hurt expression on and a sad frown.

Just three months passed with them together . Roka in these three months captured a special place in their hearts and for each others hearts. Sunita came just to celebrate Suraj's birthday from his constant requests and nagging to come here at the sacrifice of the pre-boards of the final year. An incident happened when Sunita and Suraj were celebrating the new year with Suraj's friends and their wives. Both of them sat there, frozen in their seat, watching each other's faces for few seconds, then suddenly Suraj grabbed Sunita's hands to comfort her and give her reassurance that it was not the truth.

After dinner finished, everyone silently said goodbye to each other. Sunita went back to her house with her family , Suraj was going to approach her to talk about the issue and clear the air.

Both were changed their positions as sleep was far away from them, Suraj was worried because Sunita didn't get his calls. She was leaving to banglore in just 4 days.
