WHAT A MERMAN

Apollo got to the same rock but saw she wasn't there, a large white, spiral like shell appeared in his hand then he blew through the hole at the apex which he imagined to be there.

Maame was causing a terrible tempest to a large boat on the ocean, they were about to sink when she realized she dropped something and gasped when she saw it.

She used a current of water to bring the pendant back into her hand then wore it on her neck then sensed vibrations in the water, smaller than the tempest waves, he had come...

Apollo had waited a few seconds after blowing the shell when the girl walked, seductively towards him.

He smiled then walked to her then she asked,"Why did you come?"

"To see if you were alright."He said.

"You must know that if you go too far in the ocean, you will be drowned."

He smiled then said,"I can take care of myself."

"You don't know what creatures hide down there."

"And you don't know the creatures I've faced, just trust me, I want to help you."

"Why? So you could get your heart's desires?"

"What are you talking about? I just want to make sure you're alright, that's all."

She looked down then said,"Please, don't come here again."

"Why not?"He asked.

"I'm dangerous, I could hurt you."She said.

He lifted her head up then said,"Maame, I know none of those actions were your own."

She gasped and was about to ask when he said,"I have two different lights, and I know who you are, but I'm not afraid."

She looked away then said,"I...I can't stop it."

He smiled then let her face him again, while brushing some hair from her face then he said,"I know you can, you are powerful beyond measure."

"And how do you know that you're not under my control?"She asked.

He smirked then said,"I don't, but what I do know is that I love you, I really do."

He then said,"But there is one condition, mermaids grant the wish of whoever meets them, right?"

She knew this was coming, she nodded, furious at herself and at him then he continued,"Will you be mine? For as long as both you and I live?"

She wasn't expecting that, she then said,"But we just met, and I still have no control over my instincts."

He smiled then said,"Then let's get to know each other, and we can start with you meeting my family."

She felt a little shy then he asked,"Will a little swim help?"

She looked at him then pushed him back and dove, gracefully twirling, as the water copied her movements and rose to connect with her.

Apollo laughed then did a triple back flip then fell into the water, but the moment he landed, he grew a long, blue tail, just like her.

She was shocked as he said,"I not only control water, but can make anything happen just by imagining it, catch me if you can!"

He swam in a Super Cavitation bubble then she smiled and followed after him.

He jumped out of the water into the dark, starry night and splashed back in and she did the same.

They both jumped out at the same time then twirled together in the air, with shimmering water trailing behind them.

They placed their foreheads together, then kissed, in front of the silver moon.

Anneliese had been walking paces, she was still worried about Apollo.

I grabbed her by the waist then said,"Anneliese, don't worry, I know exactly where he is."

"With a siren?! And you think he's safe?"She asked,"You already know how dangerous they are, living for at least a thousand years, that one could make Apollo's power look like a kitten compared to a lion!"

I gently placed my lips on her's then said,"I've never hurt you, have I?"

She was silent then I aid,"He'll be fine."

Sharks and rays were swimming in a circle around the two as they swam through the tunnel of Chondrichthyes.

Maame Waterston as she preferred to be called, led Apollo to the depths, where the ocean's real treasures hid, unknown by the human eye and Apollo was shocked by the entire world below the Mariana Trench.

He asked,"This is where mermaids live?"

She smiled then said,"This is where I live."

She took his hand and dove down with him through the arches of pure gold and platinum and bioluminescent algae, through the canyons of silver and incandescent sapphire, the towers of multicoloured sedimentary rocks he had never seen before and aquatic plants which dwarves Giant Kelp and even Sequoias.

Flower like jellyfish and coral, glowing in all colours of the rainbow and more, the place was paradise.

The waves crashed on the shore and Apollo carried Maame between his arms, as the water quickly evaporated from her changing tail, and her clear scale covered skin.

He gently placed her on the sand then lay besides her and asked,"Are you ready to meet my family now?"

She looked at him then nodded.

Anneliese and I had been standing at the door while Lilith, Lilith and Jessica anxiously waited for their brother.

He came, walking with the angelic mermaid besides him then she walked into the house and we all thought she went to some underwater spa because her hair looked as fake as my mom's, as a complement.

Her hair was red, but there were a few silver coloured strings which shimmered as they flowed down to the centre of her back.

She smiled nervously at us then said,"Hello, I'm Maame Waterston and I'm sure you all know that..."

"You're a mermaid."We all said.

She then smiled a little more then my mom walked closer to her and said,"Welcome to our family."

She looked at her with tears in her eyes, the warmth in my mother's voice reminded her of her mother's, but in the worst way, though most mermaids looked and could look exactly like humans due to some sophisticated chemical reactions which happened in their bodies when they were in contact with water of a composition they were used to, they could change in other water bodies, it just took a while for them to get used to them.

Despite these similarities, mermaids had different sentiments from humans, they were very territorial and lived alone, until they were going to mate and even then, the male had to win the female and other males in a duel before she saw him as a good enough father for her children, when they had mated, the females either chased the males away or killed them, but basically left the about a thousand children to take care of themselves.

Instinctively, Maame had a great urge to either eat Apollo to absorb his essence and power, or mate with him and get children with his powers, but she didn't want to do that to him, she might have been the first and only mermaid in history to have ever ' fallen in love ' .
