SEPARATED

The bolt dissipated right before her face, but a glimmer of hope returned to my heart.

I sensed all the blood my father had lost flowing back to his body and the wound, shrinking. He was healing himself.

But that wasn't the end of my troubles because Alex couldn't do that.

She said I should drink the light dimmer and I looked around for help, but Mina, who was the only one who could offer the least bit of help, was unconscious. The blast must have hit her too.

I looked back at the principal and she said,"Tick tock goes the clock."

I made the spilled liquid flow back into the bottle then the bottle floated into my grip.

I was about to drink it when Alex whispered,"Don't, please."

"But I don't have a choice."I said, making the sound appear right in his ear canals.

"Yes, you do..."He said.

Then he elbowed the principal and she hissed then cracked his neck.

I screamed then a blinding glow shot out of my eyes and a massive wind blew, shaking the whole building.

It blasted the principal far back and she hit a column.

My mom screamed the moment that happened and wanted to run to Alex but my dad held her and protected her and Mina from the wind.

The guards started waking up and falling back for better vantage points.

I screamed as my body burned then a huge explosion erupted from me, which my dad had to keep from roasting my mom.

She struggled to be let go but he didn't, even as she cried.

Bolts of lightning shot from my body haphazardly as I screamed my brother's name and they melted through many of the columns holding up the building.

My mom tried to run to me but my dad hydroteleported himself and her out of the building, he couldn't lose her too.

Still recovering from the injury, he ran inside and dodged the electric arcs and took Mina out as well but my mom started running again.

He ran and caught her then dragged her out as she resisted.

Two spinning jets of water stretched out from me and crashed through the columns holding up the building and it came crashing down but the water came around myself and my brother and formed a wall of ice around us.

The ice exploded open and cleared the debris around us and I knelt beside my brother's body with tears dripping down.

The tears fell into my palms then floated above them.

Just then, I sensed the guards yelling to fire and I screamed and the tear drops swirled around each other at a great speed then split up and spiralled around me then flattened and sliced through all the bullets coming my way.

They flew and sliced through the guns the guards held with an impact that threw them back.

Then my breathing slowed down, and I fainted.

My mom kept struggling but my dad didn't want to get hurt, then she yelled with tears streaming down her cheeks,"Your own son just died before your very eyes and you did nothing! I wish you had died! I hate you!"

The words felt like sword thrusts into his heart and he let go of her.

She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, but my dad was still in shock.

' She hates me? ' He thought.

One of the few guards who were still standing commanded the others to stop my mom and they charged at her.

She didn't care about them till one caught up to her.

He knocked her to the ground and held her down as she struggled.

Just then, he heard a voice,"Leave her alone..."

He just stood up and she continued running.

None of the remaining guards could move, they were immobilised as my dad slowly walked between them.

My mom knelt down besides her two sons and cried uncontrollably as my dad came closer.

Some of the debris that was in a heap started to crumble down, then the principal came out, bruised all over.

She chuckled to herself as the wounds healed then said,"Nice game."

They were totally healed by then, then she disappeared...

I woke up and looked around.

I first saw my mom, then my dad though I sensed them the moment I woke up.

I asked,"What happened?"

Just then the memories came flooding back into my mind then I said,"Oh, right..."

The ground started vibrating as the pipes moaned then my dad said,"Felix, it's okay."

I burst into tears then hugged him.

I had wanted to do that for a very long time.

He was caught by surprise then hugged me back, he had longed for this day.

I pulled my mom into the hugged and I didn't know how long time froze for, but we stayed like that for a while. When I pulled back, my dad said,"I'm sorry, I really hurt Mina..."

"It's okay..."I said,"You didn't do it on purpose."

I didn't know why, but I didn't feel as bad as I thought I would about her. I did feel sorry, just not enough, rather, I couldn't stop thinking about Anneliese...

After that, the memory of what happened to my brother and best friend came back to me, then I asked,"What are we going to do now?"

My mom said,"I don't know, but we can start with a divorce."

My dad and I looked as surprised as each other while he asked,"What?"

"Andrew, I want a divorce..."
