RESCUED I

"Aargh!"

"Harder!"

I kicked him harder in the gut and he yelled again.

I didn't know why Cynthia was telling me to hurt this already injured man, but I felt terrible, and it was against my morals to date someone older than me, so what was I doing?

I held the man who I had been in the cell with me by the collar and hesitated.

She tickled my spine and ice started to form on my knuckles then she whispered,"You know what to do."

I looked into his sapphire eyes, but he didn't have hate in them, rather, remorse.

I pulled back my fist then heard him say,"I forgive you..."

Then I dropped him, I couldn't do it anymore.

Cynthia came behind me and touched my shoulder then asked,"Babe, what are you doing?"

"I...I can't hurt him anymore..."I said.

She sighed then said,"Don't you remember what he did?"

At that moment I remembered how he murdered my father in cold blood, my mother told me to hide under a table and went to defend me but he stabbed her with a sharp icicle.

I started breathing heavily as rage started to build up within me, then he said,"Do what you must, but, I still love you, son."

When he said that word, my eyes made a blinding glow then I held him up again and punched him in the chin then kept punching him several times.

"I'm going to kill you!"I yelled.

She held me back and said,"Not yet, let him suffer for what he did."

I was still breathing heavily and wiped my nose with my bloody fist then left him there as she held my shoulder and followed me.

I now understood why she and her brother had kidnapped all these people, they had all done terrible things with their lights and I remembered how the one with the silvery copper eyes who kept looking at me with hope tried to kill me thrice, I was going to kill him after the one who murdered my parents.

Alexa saw where they were going and even Squeakers was confused.

"Umm, aren't you banned from going to the camp?"Alexa asked.

"Why?"Alex asked.

"Maybe because the students don't like you very much."

"Because they're scared of me?"He asked with a brow arched.

"You know they are?"

He shrugged then she held him back and said,"When you're banned, that means you aren't allowed there."

"I have my ways of getting in."

"But even if you get in, how will you convince them to help you?"

"They may not like me, but they sure do like your family."He said.

She was actually slightly offended by what he said then he softened and said,"I'm sorry...our family."

"...I don't want you to try to comfort me because you have feelings for me."She said.

"Well then I'm sorry, but that is the reason."

She sighed and they continued walking...

A woman covered her ears as the yells and sounds of agony echoed around the dungeon.

The man yelled in pain as I pushed the dagger deeper into his body, putting him through excruciating pain, just like what he had put me through.

Cynthia said it was enough but I wanted to continue, yet I dropped him on his back, in a pool of his own blood.

He was barely alive and breathing very slowly.

As we were leaving, Cynthia looked back at him then said,"That's for killing my baby's parents."

The man struggled to say,"You're a monster..."

She had a sudden burst of rage and kicked the dagger deeper into him and he yelled again. She smiled then said,"That will teach you to use, undesirable adjectives to describe me."

Then she stretched her arm and the blood started flowing back into his body.

I looked at her then said,"Why don't we just let him die?"

"Oh silly, we have to make him feel the same pain he put you through."She said, tapping my cheek.

"But this is enough, even for me, look at him. Just put him out of his misery."I said.

"Have you gone soft?"She asked.

I sighed then said,"It's just..."

"No! I won't accept that! It's either you're with me, or against me, so which are you?"She asked.

"Babe, that's not fair..."

"Choose!"

I sighed then said,"Your side."

"Good boy."She said, tapping my cheek again.

She walked away and I looked back at the man who couldn't move at all, was I going to do this to all these people? Including the children?

All the students in the camp were going about their own studies when the PA system went off, it was a child's voice.

The students groaned when they heard that boy and said,"Haven't you already caused enough trouble?"

Alex frowned then said,"Oh I haven't even started..."

Alexa pushed him back then said,"Let me handle this...excuse me? Everyone, not many of you know me but I'm Alexa, the only daughter of our principal Mr Oppong. We have reason to believe our eldest brother has been kidnapped and I father went to retrieve him but..."

"If your dad went to retrieve him, what has that got to do with us?"

"Yeah, the rescue's good as done, what do you need us trainees for?"

"Umm, excuse me... hello? Shut up!!!"Alexa yelled.

Alex gave her a goofy smile but she ignored him and spoke to the surprised crowd, saying,"If any of you have families, you should know how we feel right now, how it feels when your family is in a life threatening situation and it's all your fault. I can't bear that pain and guilt, that's why I want to...(she started to sob) I want to do something, but I can't do it alone, if you all care about my family, you'll help us."

There was no response.

"And we'll give you all a good report to our dad..."She continued.

"Let's save our favourite H 2 Orders!"

"Yeah!!!"

She looked at Alex, who was still smiling like that, then she asked,"What?"

"It's just, your wild quirk...makes me like you more, and you know what I mean."He said then winked.

She rolled her eyes then he covered his mouth and said,"Oooh, sassy."

"Listen, I just want us to rescue our family, so no joking."

"Yes mam!"He saluted.

She just walked away and he checked her out on her way out.

All the students, of all the levels met on the field outside the forest, then they realized,"How are we going to find them?"
