Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

OVER AGAIN

I was punching a punching bag with sweat dripping down my face.

The kiss I had had the previous night was my first and it left me really emotional, and I loved it!

Girls had always been charmed by my looks, but this one was different because, I liked her back, I really liked her, actually, ever since I met her.

When I thought about it, there was a loud bang as my super strong arm burst through the leather bag, making it fly a meter away.

I laughed to myself then sat down on a bench with a towel on my neck.

I wiped my cheek then stood up to leave.

Anneliese was brushing her waist length hair in front of a mirror when the principal appeared right behind her.

She jumped to her feet and greeted her then the principal said,"Remember why I gave you your light, don't forget your place..."

Then she disappeared.

Anneliese immediately burst into tears, as she was betraying the person who saved her life, but she had no other choice, her family was on the line...

After taking a shower, I went to look at myself in the mirror and was surprised at how long my hair was, even when I let it to grow that long, that wasn't an African norm.

I looked at my height as well and for some reason, I felt the strangest feeling of dé ja vu.

Halfway through classes that day, I got called for a mission.

I was in front of the principal then she said,"Your next mission is that a former student of Bright Academy, Bakugo Spears..."

' Why does what she's saying feel so familiar? ' I wondered.

"...and we have reason to believe he is working for a software company which is secretly using illegal means to activate those people's lights, but we don't have solid evidence so what we need you to do is to follow him till he goes in. Your mission begins in a week, I know you'll do great as you always do."She continued.

I nodded then left to prepare myself, in that time I invented a new sub skill, controlling fire with water.

It was similar to lightning, but opposite, because instead of making ions, I made molecules, of oxygen and hydrogen.

Then I caused one water molecule to collide with the hydrogen and oxygen, making them move faster and thus, be hotter.

This caused a chain reaction which made an explosive redox reaction, where the hydrogens added to the oxygens to make water again, both being both the reducers and oxidizes since they shared the electrons.

It was also opposite in the sense that when I made it hotter, the flame was hotter, sometimes reaching thousands of degrees Celsius. I could also make the flame reach farther by making the water molecules move before splitting.

I found this out during a chemistry presentation in class.

The day of the mission arrived and I made sure to kiss Anneliese goodbye before leaving as I wasn't sure how long I would have taken and the kiss felt amazing, emotional, electric and ecstatic!

The pipes in the room exploded with pressure and the room collapsed due to a powerful tremor that happened yet we didn't notice any of this.

After that, I went for my mission.

Bakugo lived in Tokyo, Japan, the country of my previous mission.

I followed him from a distance, using my water vision to hear every heartbeat he made.

He entered into a speed train but the doors closed before I entered and there I wondered again why everything felt so familiar.

I couldn't Hydroteleport into the train as that would have caused chaos, fear and pandemonium, so I went to the back of the train and froze my fingertips and the soles of my feet to the back of the train.

The train picked up speed fast and for a moment, I felt cool with my hair flying in the wind while I did a spider man pose.

But that excitement was short-lived as the inertia caused me to be lagged behind and tension to be induced in my arms.

I was in a lot of pain and couldn't stay for my longer so thawed the ice then fell off a bridge.

I focused too much on the freeing part, but not enough on the falling part.

I was in free fall down the deep valley then crouched myself and a huge drop of water formed around me, then I spread my limbs and the water assembled to form an eagle.

A thick, yet smooth layer of ice formed on the water, to make it more aerodynamic, but the water lubricated it from the inside and the joints.

I made a huge flap of my wings and swooped up, scaring a sheep half to death.

I caught up with the train and pulled my wings close then twirled towards the train and hydroteleported into the space between two cabins, leaving the eagle to fall onto the ground.

The people in the train were too distracted by the icy bird to notice the boy who just appeared out of thick water.

I snapped my fingers and the ice melted, letting the water pour down.

Bakugo got off at the next train station and entered a private car so I followed suit in a taxi.

He reached the company I was to spy on and entered but I hydroteleported in.

He went to a door disguised as a wall and got his eye scanned then entered but I hydroteleported in.

I saw several people in water filled containers, this was how they did it...but what was the water for?

He spoke Japanese with another man so I didn't understand, but I understood when he showed him the picture of a girl my age with bright sea blue eyes.

Bakugo nodded and started walking away.

I had the needed proof but couldn't just leave and let him catch another victim...what about her family?

So I followed him...
