My mom came back into the room and placed some food beside Indigo then sat down beside him and took a spoonful then brought it to his mouth, but he kept it shut.

She then said,"I don't want to hurt you anymore than I already have, this is obviously a lie but, open up."

He still kept his mouth closed then she shrugged then pulled his head back by forcing her fingers into his nostrils as he struggled, then forced the food into his mouth.

He spat it on her and she screamed then slapped him across the face and he was surprised at how strong she was.

She stood up then said,"I'm going to change and if I find a single piece of boiled yam on your plate, huh, you will wish you never met me."

Then she left.

He wondered how he was going to eat it as his limbs were strapped down then he remembered his light and started using whirlwinds to carry the yam and plantain slices, dip them into the vegetable stew and stuff them in his mouth.

He increased the rate of the oxidation reaction in the mitochondria of the muscle cells in his jaw to accelerate his chewing then when he was done, he realized the last plantain slice was very soft, and fermented.

He almost spat it out but when he considered the odds, he swallowed it, after a few seconds, he realized what he had just done.

"My light is back!"He yelled.

He tried to rip the ropes apart with 1,000mph whirlwinds but his light stopped operating, and his sixth sense gradually vanished, what happened?!

My mom came inside, looking spectacular, and for a literal minute, he was stunned, until she asked,"Did you like the natural light dimmer? I hear they're far better for your health."

' What light dimmer?! ' He yelled to himself.

"I can't believe how stupid the guy I married is, lactic acid strengthens lights and alcohol weakens them."She said.

"You intentionally put that spoiled one in, how mad are you?!"

"It wasn't spoiled, just well fermented and, I'm worse than the mad hatter."She said, climbing on top of him and touching his nose.

His cheeks were burning and he tried to look away from the embodiment of Venus herself, on top of him when she frowned in disgust and slapped him again then yelled,"What is wrong with you?! Can't a woman get within a foot of you without arousing you?! You think I'm some kind of sex toy?! Ugh! You disgust me!"

She got off then left and he was shocked and still in pain, how was it possible for a human to be that beautiful at that age?

I was having some alone time with Anneliese in the best restaurant I could find but she seemed bored and distant, until she got a message on her phone then smiled and texted back.

I wondered who she was talking to then she suddenly burst into that her beautiful laugh but I was confused as to what was that funny so I excused myself then intentionally spilled some water on her phone.

I then used the water to show me which parts of the screen were activated and in which ways, aka, what the messages were.

I could have easily done it with water vapour but like I said, it was intentional.

I used my light to evaporate the water and apologize several times as I restored the ' life ' to her phone using plasma.

I then walked to the men's room with the vapour in a sphere still in my hand then I condensed it on my eyes and saw everything, she was talking with a recently added contact of a ' Calico 😘♥️Romeo '.

I knew she loved cats and only used them to name her favourite contacts and they had talked a lot, even though the messages lasted only a few days, there were easily hundreds.

Who was this guy?

I went back to the table and she was still texting, so I decided to be a grown man and simply ask,"Anneliese, who's that you're talking to?"

She said without looking at me,"Oh it's just a friend."

' A friend you were just blowing kisses to while I was gone. ' I thought.

She laughed again and I had had it, I ionized the water already in the phone and used it to send a signal of, instead of radio waves, highly ionized water ions back through the satellites and to the receiver of her messages.

This took about five minutes and the moment I tracked their phone, I asked if we could go home and she gladly agreed.

I drove her to the mansion and she immediately ' went to bed ', meanwhile, I sensed her going to change her clothes, had she forgotten I could sense and understand everything that was happening in the whole region?

I couldn't sense the person since he was on the border of my water vision, like he knew, I could only sense the most energetic water molecules in that horizon, that's why I could still sense the plasma.

I hydroteleported most of the way and flew the rest and got angrier the closer I got to the place, it was that same man...

"Getting a baby and marrying her? Son, you are doing something right for once."Curtis's father said, slapping his back and laughing hysterically.

His sister hugged him tightly then he frowned at her and she asked,"What? Can't a bridesmaid touch the groom before the wedding?"

He pushed her back and wiped his shirt then said in a deep tone,"No."

She smiled evilly at him as his father yelled,"Then we have to get everything ready!"

His father was pulling him into the living room where all the twenty different organisers, each with a different job, were waiting.

He walked slowly, punishing himself for doing this to Alexa, till he passed by a punching bag, and remembered when a trainer punched him across the face, so hard, blood spewed from his mouth, right before he was punched in the gut as a thirteen year old.

He looked away from there and saw where he was being whipped everytime he closed one of the eight portals he had opened as a nine year old.

Then he saw the throne his sister sat on and mocked him to the extent he burst into tears, as a six year old.

He then stopped moving then said,"I'm not doing this anymore."

His father, still slightly laughing, asked,"What are you talking about?"

"I'm not going to be your puppet anymore, I'm not going to hurt anyone else for your sake."

"But you're still going to marry the girl right?"His sister asked.

He looked at her, surprised, then immediately vanished and his father shrugged and said,"He'll be back."

Alexa opened her door as the doorbell was rang and she smiled when she saw Curtis, holding a bouquet of flowers.

She welcomed him in and he placed them down then turned to her and said,"Alexa, you know I love you more than anyone else, right?"

"What are you talking about?"She asked.

"We have to leave, go somewhere and start anew, just the two of us."

"What?"

"I left my family and know they'll come after me, after you and the kids and I can't let that happen, we have to run away."

"But I'm not scared of your family."

"You should be, you don't know what they're capable of."

"Curtis, you're scaring me."

"Please Alexa, just listen to me."

She didn't know what to say, but nodded then he smiled then went to take the triplets.

Alexa was still dazed from all he had said,' What will his family do to him? '

When he came back, she made one last attempt to knock some sense into him, she asked,"But what about my family? What would cutting off all connections do to them?"

"Don't worry, Alexa, we'll be staying close to them."

This slightly lifted her mood till she realized a scar on his arm which looked fresh.

She walked closer then looked at him concerned and asked what happened.

He looked at it then chuckled and said it was nothing, once he was done with the triplets, he opened a portal into the Space between spaces.

Alexa looked at him confused then asked,"You don't plan on making us live there, do you?"

"It's not as bad as it seems Alexa, it's the safest place in the universe."

"But also the most dangerous, what if we get separated? We'll never find each other again."

"Please Alexa, just listen."

"No Curtis, we can't do this, we can't keep running, we're going to have to face them, one day or the other."

"We?"

"I'll always be by your side."

"But it's my job to protect you."

"And it's mine to protect you, we'll be fine, but we're not going anywhere."

He nodded slightly then she said,"Now, when is the wedding?"
