BIRTH PANGS

A few months later, Alexa was at the top of the stairs and looked down at the arduous task before her.

She sighed and placed one hand on her back and the other on her portruding belly then sighed and raised her foot.

She was about to take a step when she was startled by Trevor who asked if she needed some help.

She said she was fine then thanked him for being concerned then stepped on the stair but slipped.

He immediately caught her by the waist and spun her to help her regain balance.

They were lost in each others' eyes for a moment till he straightened her up and asked again if she needed help, she said she'd be fine, but being uncomfortable still, he decided to hold her hand.

They barely went three stairs when she slipped again, this time he caught her between his arms, effortlessly bearing her total body weight in addition to the three foetuses within her.

She looked away from his enchanting face shyly then he got her to the bottom and placed her on her feet.

He then asked,"Is there anything else you need help with, sweetie?"

"Oh it's nothing, I was just a little hungry, that's all."She said.

"You need to relax, I'll do it for you."He said.

"Really?"She asked.

He kissed her hand then said,"Anything for you, Alexa."

She smiled as he asked what she wanted then she said nonchalantly,"Fried ice cream and poached cheese."

"Wait, what?"He asked, not believing his own ears.

"That's what I wanted, fried ice cream and poached cheese, but you don't have to do it if it's too much for you."She said.

"Of course it isn't, just sit and rest, I'll be back soon."He said.

He kissed her on the lips then went to the kitchen then scratched the back of his head in dismay, he had no idea how to make what she wanted.

After a while, he came back with a well designed tray then said,"Well babe, it took three hours but I was finally able to make what you asked for."

She had starry eyes till she looked in the tray then looked at him, confused then said,"This isn't what I asked for."

"Umm, it is."He said, punishing himself for making a mistake.

"No it isn't, I asked for a snake fruit and star fruit upside down cake."She said.

Trevor's jaw dropped then he sighed and said,"I'll be back."

After eight in the night, he came back with what she asked for and as usual, she said something even more insane.

He just went and came back with a slice of pizza.

She got huge starry eyes then squealed and said,"Thank you! This is exactly what I wanted!"

"Wait, you were testing me?"He asked.

She looked at him, confused then said,"No, I wasn't, I was just hungry, why?"

"Because you asked for only foods that existed in la la land."He said.

"Like what?"She asked.

' Does she really not remember? ' He asked himself.

"You know what? Never mind."He said.

He sat beside her and they fed each other with the same slice of pizza.

After Trevor won yet another match, Alexa kissed him, as usual and the crowd cheered when he lifted the pregnant lady into the air.

He then placed her down then went on one knee and asked,"Alexa Oppong, will you make me the happiest man on earth and..."

Alexa squealed then yelled,"Yes!"

Then she hugged him and the crowd went wild.

They were going home when a car hit theirs in a head on collision.

Trevor used his body as a shield to protect Alexa but they were able to crawl out of the mangled car.

Trevor heard a ringing sound as he saw Alexa being molested by some huge men.

He ran towards them then did a butterfly kick and kicked one of them then caught the other's wrist as he held a pistol then a bang was heard and a sharp shrill as the man's partner was shot in the foot.

Trevor kicked the man down then immediately went to Alexa but she was perfectly okay.

She yelled for him to look out but he was immediately hit in the back with a plank of wood before he could react.

He fell on his knees and the man got closer to him then said,"We told you to lose."

Trevor slowly turned away from the confused Alexa, chuckled then said,"I can't with my lucky charm by my side."

The man looked at Alexa, up and down, lustfully then said,"Well it's time to share your luck."

The man was going to hold Alexa and Trevor yelled her name but he was still paralyzed by the hit, they hit him in a pressure point.

The man licked his lips and walked to her as she scampered backwards then he brought his head closer only to receive a hard punch and a knee in his groin.

He yelled in pain then Alexa got to her feet and tried to help Trevor but he couldn't move and reinforcements were arriving.

He yelled for her to leave but she didn't want to leave him.

He then yelled even louder but she still didn't listen.

He then said in a gentle way,"You are the reason I live and our children the reason you live, please keep them safe."

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she ran as fast as he feet could take her.

She had to dodge several bullets and got out with one in her shoulder but other than that, she was fine.

She got to a police station then told them of her plight but they wanted to get her to a hospital.

She said they should ignore her and help her boyfriend but they didn't listen and tranquilized her then took her to a large hospital nearby where she was attended to by an expert healer under anesthesia.

"Ah!"Trevor yelled.

He had been suspended about a foot in the air with barbed wires wound around his hands and feet.

The boss walked forward then said,"You better tell me where that thing who had the guts to insult me like that is."

Trevor spat on his face with his blood stained teeth then the man punched him in his revealed belly with brass knuckles on.

Trevor yelled then yelled louder as the barbs seeped deeper into his skin.

Blood dripped from his eyebrow and hair across the side of his head like sweat, with red liquid dripping down from his wrists and ankles.

Blood also dripped onto the floor from his bleeding nose and there were cuts all-over his face and belly.

He was breathing heavily as the boss asked,"Now are you ready to talk?"

He then said,"Go to h*ll."

The boss said,"Well I'll meet you and her there."

Then he pierced him in the side with two sharp rods which sent painful electric currents through his body.

He yelled loudly then the boss pulled it out and he fell unconscious.

Apollo went to check up on his sister as she took her afternoon nap then saw a tall man in a black trenchcoat and a white mask.

He was caressing Lilith's cheek till Apollo yelled,"What are you doing to my sister?!"

The man looked at him suddenly then brought out a sharp sword which scraped the floor as he walked closer to Apollo.

Apollo was frightened, especially since his lights weren't working and the door locked itself.

Apollo yelled for Anneliese but she wasn't around, he yelled for me then the man struck the sword...
