BETRAYED

I was having a picnic in the city's park the next day with my family, except for Alex, none of us knew where he was.

Alexa was reading a book while Anneliese and I were watching our children play together.

Just then when Lilith reached a certain point, she stopped dead in her tracks and we wondered what was wrong, till she started running in that direction.

We chased her to...a tree?

She, without looking back at us, said,"This tree is dying."

I was confused, I didn't sense anything wrong with it and asked her if she was okay, she nodded then went to touch its bark with her left hand then closed her eyes, then I sensed something I hadn't noticed before, the bacterial cells in the phloem tissue of the roots started decaying.

They had multiplied so much, they were actually blocking the pathway of the dissolved nutrients.

She used the nutrients in the bacteria to heal the parts of the tree that had unnoticeably decayed, even to Anneliese and me.

She then pumped up more water and nutrients from the soil to heal the tree then opened her eyes, all of this took barely six seconds.

She smiled then patted it and said,"You're welcome."

Then she ran back to play.

We were confused...she had an eighth sense?

In addition to her Water Vision and Stone Sensation, she could sense when something is hurt, even when it was not conspicuous?

And she could talk to trees?

I really needed to talk with her.

I later on found out she was actually able to talk to plants...in a way.

Plants didn't have central nervous systems like animals so they couldn't actually ' talk ' but they could communicate all the same.

They used pheromones in that case and due to Lilith's two complimentary lights, she could taste and smell those pheromones, so she could know when a plant's life was in danger, so she didn't necessarily have extra senses, just hyped ones.

The plant also had the ability to ' know ' when it was out of danger then it sent out sweet tasting and smelling pheromones which sent a thank you message, her brain analyzed the pheromones and interpreted the message to her as words or feelings.

She could also do it to fungi and even protists, as long as an organism could produce pheromones, she could sense them and understand them.

I was doing push ups on two fingers on each hand, without strengthening or speeding myself up with water, then I pushed my body up in a position where my legs were above my head, with those four supporting fingers.

I reached about a foot in the air then raised my hands and quickly dipped the index finger of each hand in a cup of water, then landed again.

I then did another push but kept my body horizontal then grabbed a bar above my back with my arms, after rotating my body, then I stayed in that position, right before pulling my legs over my head and passing them through my extended arms and hanging them on the bar.

Anneliese came to call me for lunch so I back flipped off the bar then went to shower before hydroteleporting downstairs.

I was eating but still felt worried about Alex, I hadn't seen him all day.

I was about to go and look for him when I realized Lilith wasn't eating.

I called her then asked if she didn't like the food. She shook her head then I asked why, she then said,"Now I know how to talk to plants, it feels a little weird eating them, I mean, this grain of rice had the potential to grow into a full plant... it's like I'm eating a child."

Anneliese then said,"Oh honey, you're not doing anything wrong, it's just like that, don't worry, if living things could sue you, I'm pretty sure you'll be in front of the firing squad by how much morbid cannibalism you've engaged in."

Lilith frowned then Anneliese smiled and said,"My point is, there is nothing wrong with you doing what you need to survive, animals do it all the time, heck even some plants and fungi do it."

Lilith then smiled, thanked and hugged her, then started eating then I smiled at my wife.

Just then, I sensed something bad, so did all the members of my family with lights.

I immediately ran to shield Alexa and my mom right before there was a huge shockwave then a strong wind which tore through the mansion.

I closed the Plasma Shield and looked at Bertha as she smirked then Alex yelled,"Hey! You said you wouldn't hurt them!"

She rolled her eyes then my mom yelled,"Alex! What are you doing with her?!"

Just then Bertha waved her arm and Alex was flung into the air with an unknown force then hit his back to one of the few remaining columns, breaking it onto himself.

I yelled his name then my eyes glowed a blinding blue while electric arcs started jumping from my body to the ground.

I ran and increased my speed then jumped with a pathway of blue electricity trailing behind me.

I pulled back and strengthened my fist as five spirals of electricity enveloped it then threw a massive punch at her.

She stretched her arm then a giant glowing golden translucent hand appeared and blocked the punch, sending a powerful shockwave that pushed everyone several meters back and crushed what was left of the building to dust, violently clearing the forty meter area where it was strongest of all debris.

When I strengthened myself with water, the water added to my movements, increasing the force to up to three thousand times.

It is true that Newton's third law of motion stated that a reactive force of equal proportions should be returned to my arm after throwing a punch with such force and it will crush my arm if I was a normal human.

But the water in my arm absorbed all that force and is squeezed, but since water doesn't get compressed easily, it expands back, sending all that returned force out explosively in a massive shockwave, making a lot of noise and not hurting me in the least.

I'm not saying all the sound energy is from this phenomenon which I am explaining, because much of the sound is caused by the forcing out of air molecules by the impact as well.

When the wave was gone, I looked to see the hand still there, unscarred.

Before I got to digest that, another hand appeared and went on to slap me several meters into the ground then they both made a fist and hit me down, leaving me, unable to move.

I then started floating as metal plates circled around me then bound me tightly.

Anneliese was able to cushion all of their fall, including Alex then saw what happened to me, she had to do something.

She told everyone to stay back but our kids wanted to help, her eyes started to glow as she yelled,"Stay back!"

Just then the ground started lifting up in moving water wave like manner.

They kept recurring and pushed the rest of the family far back then Anneliese ran forward at jaw dropping speed.

Bertha stretched her arm then sharp rusted metal plates appeared in front of her and were launched at Anneliese.

She dodged and blocked many of them but one cut her arm.

She screamed then all of them shattered.

Bertha frowned then more appeared and were shot at her but she spun then they avoided her and took a curved path and were launched back at Bertha, she was somehow manipulating rusted iron.

Bertha had had enough then a huge red laser was shot to the ground and progressed towards Anneliese, but she made her arms like a cross then all the metals from the obliterated mansion covered her and started to melt but she controlled the molten metal and blasted it at Bertha who was getting even angrier.

Bertha then stretched her arm then Anneliese's light stopped working, her eyes changed colour to pure brown, then she fainted.

Lilith let out a loud shrill of her mother's name, right before her eyes shot out a blinding, multicoloured glow...
