Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

The alarm of a bank went off as three robbers ran out with sacks full of cash slung at their backs.

One of them yelled,"We're gonna be rich!"

They abruptly stopped when they saw an incredibly adorable child in their way.

The boy then said,"Stash the cash before I give you a bashing."

They began to laugh then one of them placed his hand on the boy's head and said,"Go home kid, you're too cute to get hurt."

Apollo frowned then his hair set ablaze which burned the man's hand but left his hair untouched.

The boy then said,"Don't call me cute."

The man, who was still looking at his burned hand then said,"He's enlightened!"

The other two walked around him slowly to centre him in a triangle then the first targeted a pistol at him then pulled the trigger.

Apollo swiped his hand up and a Liquid Knife hit the bullet on the side, scraping it and deflecting it.

It went on to hit the thigh of one of the men behind him.

The man yelled in pain as the first shot again.

This time, Apollo used the thin line of water to hit the bullet head on, from the side, sending it to the hand of the other man behind him, who was also targeting.

Apollo then gave the man a deadly look as the bushes and trees in the area started swaying due to the swirling wind that was definitely from the child.

The man took to his heels with the bag still on his back then Apollo said to himself,"I love it when they run..."

He started running then disappeared.

The man looked back and saw the boy was gone.

He almost got a heart attack when the boy appeared in front of him and yelled,"Boo!"

He stumbled then ran around him.

Threw a guy off his motorcycle then took the keys and started the ignition.

He started riding then was glad when he saw he was putting space between himself and that freak, till a stream of water went onto the chains of the back tire then froze and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop, throwing him into the air.

A pocket of snow immediately appeared underneath him and cushioned him before he could land.

Then the snow immediately melted and came over him then froze, making him almost freeze to death.

The boy appeared right next to him again, took the sack, then it disappeared right in his hand.

The man was shocked, but then passed out due to the cold...

Another time some female robbers were driving away from the kid who was running faster than an average car.

They were shooting at him but he simply dodged or deflected all the bullets.

He then jumped and a thin strip of water made a spiral and circulated around his body, from his feet to his waist, then he did a spin kick and the water was shot in a blade like arc, which went on to slash the tires.

The car went out of control and they crashed.

Apollo totally forgot about what was before him and crashed in a cactus garden then screamed.

He ran out then shot the specialized leaves(quills) away from his body, in all directions, without paying attention to his surroundings.

He then sensed something and looked to his right, to see the entire front halves of all three women were covered in quills, as they pointed guns at him.

He then apologized as they fell backwards...

I was training Apollo and Lilith alone when I provided a bucket of water for each of them and told them to freeze it, which they both easily did.

I then told them to freeze it further, to a temperature 103.50° below the freezing point of water.

Lilith struggled but since Apollo was at a much higher level than her, he easily did it then encouraged her.

I loved the fact that she didn't give up.

She kept trying till she was able to do it then I asked,"Do you know the purpose of this exercise?"

They shook their heads then I said,"This ice you have made is a different form of ice I h, the most common ice on the surface of the planet, called Ice I c. They are named with extra letters in their names due to the three dimensional shape the molecules make. H stands for..."

"Hexagonal..."They both said.

"Exactly, and what does c stand for?"I asked.

"Umm, cuboidal."Apollo said.

"Conical."Lilith said.

"Cylindrical."

"Conchoidal."

"Wait, that's not a shape, it's a kind of mineral fracture."

"Oh, right..."

I smiled then said,"It's cubical."

"Oooh."Both of them said simultaneously.

"That's what I was gonna say next."Lilith said.

I chuckled then said,"Because of the cold temperatures ice I c is formed at, it is much harder, stronger, colder and more brittle than regular ice I h."

They noted that point.

I told them to zoom in their water vision to a molecular level to sense the different arrangements of the Hydrogen and oxygen atoms, ions and molecules within the crystal lattices of all the different types of ice.

I taught them the shapes, temperature and pressure ranges and properties of all the nineteen different types of ice I knew, even the very complex ones.

Like ice V, the one with the most complex crystalline structure, I've III, the one with the most specific and delicate conditions to form, ice XVIII, which was formed at temperatures so hot, the water molecules broke down into doubly negatively charged oxygen ions and positively charged hydrogen ions, which were twice their number.

The hydrogen ions weren't bound in a cubular structure like the oxygen atoms, so were free to flow anywhere in the lattice, which made the Super ionic hot ice, or ice XVIII, which made it ferromagnetic and ferroelectric, this ice theoretically made up the possibly solid mantle of ice giants like Uranus and Neptune, that explained their strange magnetic fields.

Another strange one I taught them about was ice XVII and ice II which both formed a net planed, Archimedean, Rhombicosidodecadron like shape, which had the most dangerous name.

There was also the dodecahedral ice XVI and the interlocking cubes of ice VI and XV. They formed a cubular grid, with diamond shapes placed diagonally on the perpendicular intersections of some of the cubes in the grid.

There was the dual hexagonal shape of ice XIV. Dual hexagonal since there were two separate lattice structures mingled together.

The vertical one contained hexagonal crystals where the top and bottom edges were shorter in length than the other four edges. The horizontal lattice looked the same.

There was also ices V and XIII, which both formed a cubular grid, with the cubes stacked up on each other and certain crossing bonds running from edge to edge of a cuboid made of two stacked cubular crystals.

The diamond shaped grid was one of the most common shape, shared by ices VII, VIII and X.

The most difficult types of ice to form though, were the three amorphous types of ice.

Low density, High density and Very high density amorphous ices.

They were formed at similar temperatures but different pressures, and at the same zone of the phase diagram of water.

To make them, one had to freeze the water at a temperature of 1,000,000K per second.

This was hard if not dangerous to the controller because of the inertia, acceleration and momentum.

If an obstacle was placed in the way of a moving body to immediately bring it to a stop, the inertia of the body will either make the obstacle move with the body or break through it, provided the body has enough velocity.

This is the same with water the molecules and their controllers.

Water molecules, even at subzero temperatures have a lot of calories of heat and thus, are very fast.

If you tried to stop their movement as fast as the amorphous ices demanded, the inertia will cause the part of your body you use to stop the water to move with it.

Since Brownian motion causes them to move in all directions, your body will also move apart, aka it will bloat up maybe even explode if you aren't tough enough.

But the amorphous types of ice have very unique and important properties, for instance, LDA(Low density amorphous ice) is one of the least dense forms of ice there is, while VHDA, has one of the highest.

Because they were so indispensable, I had to figure out a way to create them without my limbs exploding, and I found a way, which I taught to my kids.

I made the amorphous ices, only with a small part of my skin, this meant the Brownian motion of each water molecule going in a direction opposite to another, was cancelled out since it was ironically so balanced.

But the most dangerous of all the types of ice I knew was ice IX, it was formed at room temperature and was thus, very stable, it caused all water molecules around it to to form a similar crystalline structure to itself, without stopping, aka, one square inch of it could literally freeze all of the water on the planet in just a few weeks.

The only way to stop the progression of ice XI was for an ice controller to hold it back, but even that was hard since the ice fights back until you lost your strength, then it continues spreading, so the only way to use it is if you want to destroy an entire planet.

The worst part of it is you don't have to be at a high level in order to conjure it, you just have to know how.

But the second way to stop it is to totally obliterate it, separating the water molecules from that highly stable and dangerous arrangement.

All lights had their most powerful and sometimes even, forbidden moves.

For Atoms, it was creating Strange matter, from strange quarks, which had a similar effect to ice IX or creating atoms past the last element on the periodic table.

For Enforcers it was making Black Holes, Quasars and Neutrons Stars or Pulsars.

For Mechanics, it was controlling Dark Energy.

For Braids, it was Telekinesis and mass mind control.

For Brauds, it was mass body control and causing deadly sicknesses, if not plagues.

For Stone Breakers, it was creating new compounds, which Lilith often did.

For Hurricane Lads, it was causing dangerous weather conditions.

For Metalads, it was creating extremely reactive metals.

For Nonmetalads, it was causing chemical reactions with reactive nonmetals.

For Teleporters, it was changing dimensions, like making a person one, two or even four or five dimensional.

For Chromosapiens, it was meeting themselves in different timelines or making someone else meet themselves or erasing someone from existence.

For Real Deals, the recent most powerful was totally resetting reality.

Just to be known, these are the most dangerous known abilities.

Judging by how unpredictable and powerful lights could be, there could be certain undiscovered abilities that could dwarf the above mentioned ones.
