ALPHA AND OMEGA

After the failed Ragnarok attempt, Ama realized Alex was even more distant and cautious, she didn't even remember the last time he slept with her, or that he slept at all.

Alex was trying to put the crying baby to sleep when he sensed Ama walk into the room and she was mostly undressed.

He didn't understand what was going on as she walked closer to him, till she placed her hand on his chest then whispered in his ear,"I miss you honey."

"I'm sorry but...the baby needs me."He said.

She then touched his broad chest and said,"I need you too."

He looked into her pretty eyes then shook his head and said,"I'm sorry, but I can't."

She then turned his face towards her's and said,"Then let me help you..."

Then she kissed him gently on the lips, he didn't want to but, he had missed this so much, and how skilled she was enticed him to the extent he placed the child down as she unbuttoned his shirt.

He tasted mint and alcohol and wanted more as she gently bit his lips and he licked her's, he then picked her up and carried her to their bed then he came over her and asked,"Are you sure?"

She smiled at him then said,"I have gotten a child with you before, you know."

He smirked then kissed her neck and she moaned happily, how she had missed him.

After about twenty minutes, Ama sat up besides her sleeping husband as she had literally kept a sedative beneath her tongue and gave it to him during their kiss.

She heard the baby crying again then she stood up, knowing Alex's light was neutralized due to her own ingested alcohol.

She picked a knife from the table and walked towards the baby, then put it in the rack and gently picked and rocked the child, while singing to him...

Apollo was still having a dilemma, he didn't want to alter reality too much, but he also wanted to see his children run, play, go to school, come back and hug him...then he remembered, he decided to marry Maame and also...the children were more than enough at that moment, in the now, he didn't want to miss a second of their lives, neither did he want to rush anything, therefore, he decided to let them grow at their own pace.

At that moment, water was squirted at his face and he laughed and chased Sylvia as the six inch merhuman ran away, giggling childishly.

"You can't put lipstick on a pig."Alexa said.

"What?"Curtis asked.

"Your hair, you've let it grow again."She said.

"It's just a little."

"It's longer than my brother's."She said.

"...fine, I miss my hair."

"Okay."Alexa shrugged.

"Okay?"

"Yeah."

"You're not like, mad at me or something?"

"Why should I be? If it makes you happy, then it makes me happy too."

He smiled then kissed her and asked,"What did I do to get a wife like you?"

"I wonder that vice versa everyday."She said.

"Wait, in the good or bad way?"He asked.

She simply giggled and walked away.

My mom was singing Alena to sleep when she just looked at the child's silvery white eyes, a second before a shimmer shone in them and she wasn't surprised.

That shimmer was basically like when your eyes glowed when you were emotional, just at a much more subtle scale, where when you got a brief ash of emotion, your eyes glowed for the length of time that strong emotion landed, but the thing that surprised my mom was that... Alena's eyes glowed when her light wasn't even activated yet and she definitely hadn't gone through birth activation either.

Indigo came behind her and held her by the waist then kissed her cheek and said,"Good morning, my love."

She giggled as his warm breath tickled her ear then he asked,"May I have this dance?"

The air around them spontaneously started playing Con Fei Wei's Bluestone Alley, one of her favorite songs, and as she placed her hand in his, a cushion of air carried the baby and swirled to make her extra comfortable and sleepy as the two waltzed together.

But something weird happened as a feeding bottle randomly appeared in Alena's small mouth and she began sucking it.

My mom asked Indigo if he did it but he denied as the air beneath the baby got stronger and started slowly rocking her, in addition to her spinning.

The bottle disappeared as suddenly as it appeared and my mother reached for her child, who appeared in her arms.

She called for the rest of us and...

"She's experiencing Hyperolcholmia."Alexa said.

"What?"I asked.

"It's a natural phenomenon which happens mainly with enlightened organisms where they are able to detect all the best features of a possible mate and if they have a great chance of giving them a more...advanced child, they feel emotionally attracted to them and strive to make them their own, this may be why Felix fell in love with Anneliese and got Lilith and Jessica or why mom fell in love with Indigo getting Alek and...Alena."

"Wait, so we're basically..."My mom began.

"Instinctively looking for the best mates."Alexa completed.

"Ew, don't say it that way."Alex said.

Alexa shrugged then said,"Judging by the symptoms, Alena's an Alpha and a Hurricane Lass."

Everyone was shocked, but not as much as Titus as Anneliese asked,"But how can you tell the difference between the lights of Real Deals and Alphas?"

"They do the same thing, manipulating reality, but just in different ways, Real Deals break and make laws to make reality do their bidding while Alphas command reality to do whatever they want and yes, this took decades to be found out."Alexa explained.

Titus was going to speak when Ricky interrupted,"I just met an Alpha the other day."

We all looked at him, wondering why he kept something so important, secret then, thinking he was in trouble, he coiled into a corner, but Alexa went forward then said,"Son, don't mind those average meanies..."

"Average?!"My mom yelled.

He shivered violently as Alexa frowned at my mom who looked down apologetically then asked for more details and he told us everything.

"Golden eyes."My mom repeated.

"I don't actually know of any other light that gives its wielders golden eyes, so it's possible."Indigo said.

"Thank you sweetie."Alexa kissed his forehead.

Shortly after, Micky and Catherine started wrestling over who gets to be kissed by Alexa next and Curtis was grinning smugly till Alex said they should go and hug him instead...
