ALEX'S NEW SKILL

My family and I were eating dinner at table when I cleared my throat to get their attention then said,"Excuse me, I have an announcement to make."

"Of course, speak."My mom said.

"I'm all ears."Alexa said.

Alex, who was still fidgeting with his food, rolled his eyes then said,"Yeah whatever."

I took a deep breath then spoke,"I'm getting engaged..."

"What?!"All of them yelled, though Alex was loudest.

My mom couldn't hold back her tears and Alexa yelled,"Really?!"

I nodded.

Alex then yelled,"You can't be serious!"

"But I am."I said, simply.

Alex was the exact opposite of Alexa, being furious while she was joyous.

He yelled,"You're too young to get married!"

"... it's eight months from my twenty first birthday."I said.

He then yelled,"So what?! You can't just leave us like that!"

"I didn't say I was leaving, besides I am a grown man, this happens."

He banged his fists on the table but was even more angry that I didn't let the ice spread, or the water make him stronger, then he ran to his room.

Alexa stood up to go after him but I stopped her and said,"Don't go, he might do something to you, I'll go."

I then left.

I hydroteleported into his room then called,"Hey sport."

He didn't answer.

I took a deep breath then touched his shoulder then he twitched.

I then said,"Alex, when I get married, I'm not leaving the mansion and no matter what, I'll never leave my favourite little brother in the world."

"You're only saying that because I'm your only little brother."He said, inaudibly to my ears.

"Of course not, I really love you, that's why I named you after my best friend, so, will you come and finish dinner?"

Squeakers started rubbing its face on his then he chuckled and carried it then nodded and we went downstairs...

After that I spent a lot more time with Anneliese, planning our engagement and romancing together.

Anneliese, after a night out with me, went into her room then saw a package on her bed.

She picked it up and widened her eyes.

I went to her apartment after work one day and she was sitting on her couch, looking at some pictures.

I smiled then walked towards her but she stood up and started walking out the door.

I sensed her tears and asked what was wrong.

She looked at me then yelled,"This is!"

Then she threw the papers at me and they fluttered around.

I picked them up and was shocked.

They were images of me with another woman.

There were images of me kissing her, touching her and even one of me in bed with her.

I looked at Anneliese then she demanded an explanation.

I then said,"Anneliese, believe me, I never did any of this."

"Why are you lying to me?!"She yelled.

She started storming out of the room but I blasted a jet of water which enveloped her hand then it froze.

She snapped her fingers then a mirror shattered and sliced right through it so I made a wall of ice to cover the door.

She turned to me and yelled for me to let her out but I said,"Not until you hear me out. Anneliese, you are the only woman I have ever had eyes for and there is nothing that can change that, the only way I'll leave you is if someone alters time or reality itself, other than that I will never leave you."

"Prove it."She said.

"Do you trust me?"

She looked at me then said,"Of course I trusted you."

"I mean now, do you trust me?"

She hesitated before saying,"No."

Then she left.

I stood there for several seconds, still digesting what she just said, I had lost Anneliese's trust...

A tear rolled down my cheek and I looked to the stairs, where she went and wanted to follow up but I decided to let her be.

I was a mess at home and knew immediately that our relationship was broken.

My mom and Alexa tried to console me and Alex was actually a lot nicer, I knew he wanted to help, so I let him.

Alex went to his room to get me the present he made me then controlled the water in the air, floor and himself to act in a specific way and throw off my water vision, then looked at a picture of himself then tilted his head and touched it then his own image in the picture was updated to make him to grow older...

I had been heartbroken for days when one day in my office, I decided I was going to win Anneliese back, with the proof she desired...

I lay on my bed, besides Alexa for her safety, when I had a dream and abruptly sat up... that's it!

I walked past the high tech prison cells with some officers leading me.

A police officer went to an inmate then said,"You have a visitor."

He looked up then grinned when he saw me then said,"It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I wish I could say the same, now come on."I said coldly.

He shrugged his shoulders then went for his light dimmer handcuffs then was taken into the interrogation room.

I dismissed the cops and looked at him then said,"I want you to do something for me."

John started to laugh heartily then asked,"Really?! That's why you came?! Of course I won't!"

I stood up then said,"I will make you literally swallow your words."

"I have lived for seventy two years and gone through a lot of scary experiences, you don't even count in the top hundred."

I smirked then said,"Thanks for choosing the hard way."

Then I left.

He was confused, wasn't I going to torture him?

I then walked in with his sister then threw her to the floor.

John yelled her name and threatened me to leave her alone then I said,"The two of you caused me a lot of emotional pain, time to return the favour."

I then zapped her in the back with a plasma blast and she screamed.

John called for the guards but I said,"Oh I am terribly sorry I forgot to tell you that I bailed you out, on the terms that you will do whatever I say."

"I'd rather rot forever in h*ll than do anything you say."

I smirked then said,"That could be arranged."
