Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

A BIG SURPRISE

I went back to the academy straight after that.

I told the principal I didn't find the people then she asked me why I went to South Korea, as she had heard.

I told her I went to meet with someone.

That night I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about what my dad said, and also, everytime I closed my eyes, I saw that same dream.

But maybe it didn't mean what I thought it meant.

Maybe it meant that he was trying to defend me.

I couldn't believe that, but there was only one place I could get some answers...

New Zealand...

Guards were patrolling a walled building.

One guard looked back when he sensed something and ran in that direction at a speed twice that of a cheetah.

He opened the bushes, making light from his silver irises to illuminate the area. He saw that there was nothing there and was confused.

I appeared on the inside and made a sigh of relief, then sensed a female guard walking my way since she also sensed a sound.

' Does every guard in here have a light?! ' I yelled to myself.

I hydroteleported away before she got to me, but she found it weird how the air around there just collided, as if something disappeared and the air molecules had to fill the void.

I appeared in another room and looked around, no one had seen me, just then I heard someone whisper,"We have an..."

Before he finished, I blasted him to a wall with water then slid to the walkie talkie by making moving water below my feet drastically reduce the friction between my feet and the floor.

A man's voice was on the other side of the walkie talkie and he called ' Fred ' to answer.

I used a Hydro Boom to make myself sound just like him then said it was a mistake, then I changed into his clothes and hid him in a closet.

I used my water vision to eavesdrop on all the conversations going on in the base, but I heard mostly useless stuff like comments on how good one of their grandmother's cooking was, a date one of them went on, a disgusting burping contest, and more, a lot more.

But I did find one useful conversation though.

It was between two women.

They were talking about me.

I widened my eyes as the topics they were discussing were not appealing, but I managed to find out about a safe vault where they kept all the documents.

I walked there and caused the water in the eyes of everyone who met me to display an illusion of them seeing Fred instead.

I got to the vault and wondered how to open it.

There wasn't enough space for me to Hydroteleport in and Fred didn't have any clearance, so I had to figure something else out.

I got into an attacking stance then swiped my arm and the liquid knife sliced through the metal and sparks flew.

It made a deep cut, but it was shallow when compared to the depth of the door.

I also couldn't use frost wedging as that would be too loud.

I then stretched my two longest fingers on my right hand to make an imaginary gun, then placed them between the door and the wall.

A fizzing sound was emitted as the great amount and pressure of water was blasting through the metal hinge.

After a few seconds, I stopped and slowly opened the door, quietly jubilating, but my fingers felt numb.

I had to hurry as the guards had heard the metal breaking, so I quickly activated Aqua Orchestra and took the needed files, then I hydroteleported out without reading them.

I didn't have the time to read them there as there was a red alert so I hydroteleported into the nearest town, which was several kilometres away.

My body ached badly since I hydroteleported such a great distance at once but I had no other choice.

People started looking at me and I felt selfconscious so went somewhere private to read, and...it was true...

By the time I had reached the Academy, it was sunrise.

The moment Jason opened his eyes, I hugged him.

He was confused and asked what was going on then I told him everything.

"Then we have to leave!"He said, urgently.

"We can't, remember what happened the last time I tried to escape? We just have to figure out a plan."I said.

We told the others and they were just as shocked as he was, Cody wanted a piece of Principal Portia.

We were served breakfast and then went to our classes, acting like nothing had happened.

But just a few seconds into the first period, the principal called all the students to the sports field.

' Oh no, she knows! ' I screamed to myself.

***

We all arrived at the sports field and she had her usual smile, but I could see the evil within it now.

She was standing on a stage and there was a secret compartment under it with two people within it, I couldn't identify them since I was too far, but I could tell they were a woman and a teenager.

She called me forward and I walked through the crowd anxiously.

The purpose I stood so far away was so she'd not call me.

I stood on the stage then she said,"Happy birthday Felix..."

***

I looked at her as she hugged me, but I didn't feel the warmth I used to when she did this.

I could also sense more details on the people in the compartment, and I knew who they were.

The compartment rose up from beneath the stage and I already had tears in my eyes as she said I should open it.

I slowly opened it then saw them and yelled,"Mom! Alex!"

***

I was too stunned to speak as I looked at them in the flesh, after so many years.

Just then Alex said,"So you can shout louder than a howler monkey, but you can't talk?"

I ran and gave them the biggest hug I had ever given anyone.

The three of us hugged for who knows how long and time stopped.

I hopefully looked at the principal and she said,"Spend as much time as you need with them...school is out for the day!!"

There was a loud cheer from the crowd of students as everyone heard the news.

I ran with my family to show them everything but my mom slowed down.

I had already sensed his presence but hoped she wouldn't see him to make things complicated.

Alex looked at my dad and I could tell all he wanted to do was to hug him, but he just walked away.

Alex seemed heartbroken but I couldn't let my dad be blamed for something he didn't do intentionally, not anymore.

But was it worth it?

"Mom, Alex, I have to tell you something."I said.

I told them everything and they stared at me in shock and disbelief, but I showed them the file to prove it, they looked at each other and Alex flashed a deadly frown, before saying telepathically,"It's true..."
