Episode 2: A Grimoire

The two elves is currently in a big , wide library. Books are everywhere! From the ceiling to the walls . Its like a whole new world under the mass of trees up there. The girl look at her father , her mouth open and close like a dead fish trying to ask all the questions playing in her head.

James : What is it ? (James ask with a confused face looking at his adopted daughter)

Caroline palms her mouth while shaking her head …

Caroline: NN..NOTHING!

She is clearly surprised but she keep following James to the rows of racks that swirls to the center. Now that she notices it , The racks really are not straight like the normal ones that she used to see. They twirls and are connected with each other performed into the Cosmic Duality which is also called Yin-Yang if you see it from above . The only difference is that there is a hole-like circle at the center . That is where the tracks stop . James chants a runes that can be seen in gold color clearly in the air . The runes automatically flown to the mid point .

The runes are like a ritual to summon a mystical creatures , three layers of pentagon-like stones rise from the midpoint . The first one is the sole for the formation , the second one is the tallest and the third one is a tray for an ancient book.

Caroline : What is that!?

The girl freaks out of the formation while the older elf just shrugs her of his shoulder . James walk over to the formation but he isn't doing anything . He stood there and stare at the grimoire with thirsty eyes. His eyes became darker and darker as he stare at it . Caroline pick herself up and follows the man's footstep also taking a place beside it while facing him.

Caroline : What is this fa...

Before the girl even finishes her question the man raises his hand signing that the girl should not ask anything and be quite. James look into her eyes and said sentences that the girl didn't expect to hear.

James: Take it...

Caroline is so shock that she almost slaps the old man .

Caroline : What !... Father , I don't even know what is this thing?

James : SHUT UP!...

The scold surprises her making the girl open her eyes wide! It is the first time this beloved father of hers ever raises his voice. Without wasting any time, She pick up the grimoire and hold it chest while distancing herself with her adopted father.

Caroline: Father is there something wrong..?

The confusion in her face become a sad and scared one as she look at the man. The man's eyes hold hatred and his killing intent rises as he look towards the girl.

James : Hand me the book , Caroline..

The man ask while extending his hand .

Caroline: I...I take it from me if you want it!...

To her surprise the man pounce at her while reading a runes creating the incarnation of thousands of fire balls . The girl dodge them with a swift while carrying the grimoire in her arm. But the man doesn't give up! , He keep summoning the balls of balls of fire again and again . Seeing that his attack is not working , he summon a big ball of fires and throw it to the elf girl.

The girl is still speechless for what is happening , she lands on one of the biggest tree there and look at the man who is throwing the ball of fires with a madman face...

Caroline : ' Why is he doing this...? Why is my father doing this ? ' The thought keep running in her mind trying to process all the situations.

The ball of fires lands to the whole island burning all the living creatures in there . From the mountains to the trees to the animals , all of them vanish in a blink of eyes....
