The witches attack

At the entrance of the lone village, a carriage was parked and Sebastian stepped out, followed by Leif and Minister Azarael. Four horses stopped behind them and the knights jumped down, including Louis.

The town was surprisingly quiet, as if there were no souls left in the houses, and no animals in sight.

"Were all the villagers affected?" Sebastian asked Azarael, and the minister quickly shook his head.

"I sent a messenger to the knights guarding this place to take only the affected vampires out of the village," Azarael conveyed, looking around the ghost town. A chilling breeze blew, causing a little whirlwind in the entrance of the town.

Sebastian started to walk forward, and they followed him as he walked to the first house and opened the door. The house was empty except for a few wooden materials covered in dust.

"The whole village has been evacuated," Sebastian said, and Azarael stepped forward.
