Imminent danger

Daniel was lost for words with what he was hearing and seeing, there was a screen that looked like it was floating in the air in front of him. There were words that were written telling about a required permission for the assimilation of the Brain Potential Evolution System. The voice that was speaking as the words were written sounded like a male British butler type.

'Could this be the fabled system, which will bring forth adventures and many other things. But wait, if it is like that, does it not mean that the world will be in trouble?'

Those thoughts travelled very quickly in his mind and gave him one result which was that from what he knew about such situations, there would be a situation that would in danger the world.

"Brain Potential Evolution System…?"

Daniel said the name of the system with some modicum of curiosity and trepidation.

[That is correct candidate Daniel Lucas Green.]

The same British butler type voice answered him, but it lacked any emotion.'

'How does it know about the British, do you think the British made something like this, highly unlikely.'

"What are you talking about? Why should I allow a system I know nothing to assimilate to myself? What about the possible side effects of assimilating alien artifacts?"

[Candidate Daniel L Green, those are important questions that will be answered.]

[The Brain Potential Evolution System is an artifact that was created by a high level civilization to help low level civilizations that have been targeted by higher level civilizations to have a chance to fight back and escape what should have been their demise.]

"Wait! Targeted? By who."

Before the system could finish its explanation, Daniel could not help but ask about the targeting, there was a bit of panic in his voice. The conclusion about system was proven correct, when systems appear in front of normal people out of nowhere it is usually when there is trouble that threatens the world.

[Candidate Daniel L Green, The Earth and your humanity have been targeted by a higher level civilization in the same galaxy as Earth, I believe you call this galaxy the Milky Way Galaxy.]

"What counts as been targeted? Does it mean that an alien civilization has aimed its guns at humanity and the humanity does not have a chance to survive the encounter?"

[That is a good question, Candidate Daniel L Green, the universe is big and there are many ways higher level civilization could target low level civilizations as it is in their right to conquer civilizations they think can destroy.]

Daniel was lost for a second before he could respond, he did not know what to say because what the System had said made sense. The law of the jungle seemed to spread to the universe beyond. But this not stop him rom feeling that the situation was a little bit unfair, when he thought of the possible ways higher civilization could possibly target the Earth and humanity his face had a scowl.

"That makes sense. Wait what about the Brain Potential Evolution System, if you said that it gives lower level civilizations a chance against higher level civilizations, someone would have known about it by now?"

By logic if all the low level civilizations were about to be targeted by higher level civilizations and the response was always similar someone would find out and there would be targeted responses to something like this.

'Maybe the civilization that is targeting Earth and humanity does not know that something like this can be prevented by the Brain Evolution Potential System...'

Whilst Daniel was thinking that the Earth could be saved and he did not have to have get assimilated to an alien system without being aware of the possible side effects, the system interrupted his thoughts.

[Candidate Daniel L Green, the simple truth is that the Brain Potential Evolution System is not obligated to get involved and help lower level civilizations if the chance of a survival is too low.]
