When I got home, I quickly bolted the lock and collapsed on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. I didn’t notice Juno approaching from the living room, as she was usually out socializing at this time of night. When she spoke, I shot her a terrified look and made myself as small as I could while hugging my backpack.

“Gabby, what the hell happened?” She crouched down in front of me, looking me over. When she spots the growing mark on my wrist, her eyes widen with fury. “Oh hell no, did that jerk put their hands on you?”

She stood up quickly and moved toward the living room. “I’m calling the cops, what is Hikaru’s last name? They are not going to get away with this.”
