Earlier that day…
“Ives!” I snatched her by the waist, catching her before she tumbled down onto the floor...again. This time she seemed to have tripped over a wrench.
During our time working together, I learned many things about her. But one of the most important things I found was how clumsy she was.
The woman made hurting herself and damaging the things around her an art form.
In the short time we’d been working together, she had accidentally sent a hammer through a wall twice, broken one of the blades on my handsaw, and hammered her fingers so many times that I had to take the damn thing from her.
And on top of that, she had somehow managed to get the kitchen sink to nearly combust.
At this point, I had to acknowledge her absolute skill when it came to destruction.
