Last Day of Freedom!!

Chapter Four

Miranda

I had a great sleep. It was something I liked about hotel's presidential suite!! You may be thinking what kind of normal person would live in presidential suite??!! The answer was 'I did'. Yes I wanted to be free but I never said I would leave luxury!!

The bed was so comfy and soft that I felt like I was sleeping on a bed made of feathers!! So today was the last day of my freedom. Well, it never started to begin with!!! I was so looking forward to this vacation!!! Now I could only have my internal screaming!!!

"Let's shower shall we!!??" I threw my night dress at the floor and went inside the shower.

Warm warm waters!!! Ahhh I loved it!! I was feeling so relaxed that I felt like melting away in the bathtub. But when you felt like you were having the moment of your day something ominous had to happen!! I heard a thud sound of the door. I remembered locking the door. Did anyone break into my room??

I unwillingly got outside from the tub and wrapped a towel. Who ever broke into definitely had a death wish!!!

"Who are you??" A guy in uniform was holding the main door putting his ear onto it. That was pretty much weird posture for someone to have!!

"Oh My God!!! I'm so sorry!!! I didn't know someone was in the shower!!" That guy was flushed. Well I myself was pretty much embarrassed because I was standing there half naked. I only had a towel to cover me!!

"I don't remember ordering room service!! You pretty much look like....umm..." The guy looked down at his dress.

"Oh no no!!! I'm not a waiter!!!" He waved his hands vigorously. Someone is quite energetic but shouldn't he leave?? I mean a half naked girl was standing in front of him and there was something called privacy!!

But without leaving the guy striped his waiter dress away. There was a plain black shirt underneath it. If it was a white shirt I would've guessed him as my bodyguard but never mind!! This guy was too much pretty to be a bodyguard!! I could only imagine someone like James, who was in his mid 30's as a bodyguard!!!

"If you're done stripping, the door is behind you. Please LEAVE!!" He looked at me like I was something he had never seen.

"I'm sorry, I can't!!" What the fuck!! You were standing in my suite and saying you couldn't leave?? I'm sorry but did I woke up from the wrong side of the bed??

I caught him checking me out!! "Ah... Ahm...." He looked at my face and I gave him my pretty annoyed smile and also pointed to keep his eyes on my face. "There's nothing down there to look, so I'll suggest you keep looking at my pretty face!!"

"I think there's plenty much thing to look down there!!"

Rude much!! I was amazed by his courage. Calm down Miranda.... it's not Australia. New York is full of scumbags.

*Ringing*

Oh another person was calling me to annoy, like one wasn't enough!!

"What does Dinosaur need!!??" Dinosaur was dad's nickname cause he was an entertainment dinosaur. Everyone feared him in the entertainment circle but I couldn't find any good point to fear him.

Dad: "Why is my mini Dino roaring fire??"

"Because I was in shower!!" Duh, I couldn't tell that a handsome hunky guy was standing in front of his half naked girl and refused to leave. Dad would call off my vacation right that instant.

Dad: "Oh my!! I wouldn't take your time then. But your bodyguard has already been stationed outside your room."

I looked at that guy. So he was really my bodyguard!! "More like Inside the room!!" I mumbled and without giving another option I cut the call.

"So you are my bodyguard huh?? I thought I would at least have one day to my freedom but think that's very far away." I rolled my eyes and sighed. "What's your name??"

"Mason."

Something was weird and that was I couldn't read his mind!! Well, that was new. Apart from brother and sister I could read pretty much everyone's mind. I smirked at that. New York was going to be adventurous!!

"Okay Mason!! I appreciate your sincerity towards your work but if you can see..... I'm half naked here!! Would you give me a little privacy and LEAVE, so I could put something on???" I mean come on dude!!! There should be a limit to your work. I was sure my father didn't instructed him to stay in the room when I was changing!!!

"Oh my!!! I'll excuse you then!!" He left the room.

Huh?? That's it?? No apology?? What the hell?? My mood was totally ruined. My bath got ruined, my freedom got ruined. Even my bodyguard was a weirdo!!!! I put on my dress and called Mason inside. I had to deal with this.

"Sit down!!" What's wrong with this bodyguard?? Why was he chuckling when I was this much furious??

"Mason, right??" I leaned forward. I was serious. But why did I feel like this guy was playing with me!!??

"Yess, ma'am." It was frustrating to not be able to read what was going inside that head of his!!

"I'll come straight to the point. I didn't wanted a bodyguard in this vacation. I don't want to draw attention. I don't care about your work or your comfort. I just care about myself. So no suits, no bodyguard protocol, no calling me ma'am, no drawing attention!! Is that clear??" I asked sternly. I was an arrogant brat. I should show it right??

"Why don't you remove that mask of yours first!! Then we can make a deal!!"

Oh my God!! He is something else!!!

"I know you are not an arrogant brat that you are trying to be here." He was chuckling. Damn right he was chuckling!!!

"Excuse me??!!" I scowled at him. I mean no one ever found out it was an act except from my dad.

"I will not bring you any attention. So don't worry, Ms. McMillan!!" I wanted to smack that grin out of his mouth. But I myself felt amused!!! I couldn't stop my laughter. Well, that was first!!

"Miranda!! 2nd and 3rd rule. No calling Ms or ma'am." Well now that this guy knew it was all an act then I should be like me!! I loosened my posture and leaned backward at the sofa.

"Change into something casual!! Nothing so formal." I told him looking up and down. Yikes, this guy was way too much hot and formal.

"You will be going out today??"

"Of course I would. It's my first and last day away from spotlight!! Did you think I wouldn't live it to the fullest??" Come on!! I couldn't roam around casually after Roe and Melisandre's arrival.

"And book the presidential suite next to mine."

"Why's that!!?? If may I ask ma'am." Oh God this guy was way too much polite!! "Miranda. Call me Miranda. Now practice!!"

"Mir... Miranda!!" He instantly covered his mouth with his hand. Oh how cute!!

"Perfect!! The room is for you. It's just for one night. And also I have way too much money to spend!!" Which was true. I had that much money that even my children could spend without worrying for work.

"Okay ma'am. I mean Miranda."

I felt like this was the beginning of something!!
