Chapter 17- Mind your Business!

Kill?? He could kill people, "What do you mean by kill?" Mariyah asked more curious than ever. Devonte realized what he had said. " I was exaggerating, I mean I'll be really angry at him." he said but Mariyah knew this guy, he looked like he wouldn't be afraid to kill someone. "Okay. I just got worried." she said as they limo started to move.

By the time Mariyah go to her house it was 10pm and that was because on, she got delayed, not really delayed but something happened for sure. Mariyah started to recall what happened, the little fight she had some moments ago.

FLASHBACK

They were in the car talking about the lives and work then Mariyah noticed something, she wasn't going to her house, she was going to that mansion again. 'No way.' she said inwardly. "Devonte, where are we going to?" she asked anxious to hear the answer. "My house of course." That was his house? All of this shocked Mariyah , she thought it was his parent's house. Anyways, the entered the house and Mariyah could feel him staring at her. "Please stop." she said. "Why are you uncomfortable when I'm your boyfriend." he asked , he sounded hurt. "I'm not uncomfortable, it's just that I don't like it." she said. "Well.. you better get used to it." he replied with a smirk

Before Mariyah knew it, Devonte pinned her to the wall, his eyes focused on her lips. "No please , I'm not ready." she said because she wasn't and she didn't need a baby. "But I am." he replied, at the moment their lips were about to touch the door opened and Devin walked in , 'Thank God.' Mariyah said in her mind. Devin walked in and there was an 'o' on his mouth. Devonte turned back, irritated. "You could have knocked." he said. "My my brother, so you have already made your move." he said as he walked to Mariyah, he 's face was still shocked and Mariyah found it hard not to laugh. "It isn't funny Mariyah." Devonte said with a stern voice and that made her shut up instantly.

Devin whispered something in Devonte's ear and his expression changed, "I'll see you tomorrow." he said and left the room but Mariyah couldn't help and think of what this secret was so instead of going home she went towards the door and placed her ear on it. "Mom and dad have done it again.", "Ugh they need to learn how to control it." Control what? she thought and then the door opened. It was Devonte "Caught red-handed." Devin said from behind, he wasn't helping.

Mariyah could see that Devonte wasn't happy at all, "So you like to eavesdrop?" he asked obviously displeased. "I just-" , "Don't lie Mariyah!" he barked at her. "He hates liars." Devin said again and he was starting to irritate her. "Mind your business!" she said to him politely, "Actually you weren't minding yours some minutes ago."he said to her. Mariyah didn't want to get on the bad side of Devin. So she breathed in and out, "It seems that you have simply misunderstood me, by mind your business I meant go mind the business with all the girls you have in your room." she said with a mocking smile. She could see Devin's rage in his eyes and she loved it, Devonte started laughing "She got you there bro." , "Weren't you the one about to do it now?" he asked feeling please with himself. "At least I'm loyal." she replied immediately.

Devin moved to attack her and Devonte blocked him , "That's enough, Mariyah you can go home now and thank you for the show!" she smiled and left the house.

She laughed as she recalled what happened, well that was life. The next morning she set off for work refreshed , she couldn't deny it, she was mostly happy because she couldn't t wait to see her boss or was he her boyfriend? He played two roles in her life. She smiled as his face popped up to her mind then BAM!

Everything became blank, "A car hit her and he just drove off." , "I'm calling 911 now.", "Give her some space." , "I'm a doctor let's-" and then her hearing betrayed her as it shut down like her whole body.
