Caroline gathered her thoughts, composed herself, and followed Mr. Jeroen to the four-story villa at the center as if nothing had happened.
The living room was decorated in a European style, with a genuine piece of calligraphy by a Master hanging on the wall, bearing the inscription: "Be indifferent to fame and wealth, then tranquility will come."

Caroline noticed the painting, her fingers twitched, her eyes flashed with mockery for a moment, too quick to capture.
They claimed to have a calm and peaceful state of mind, free from distractions, but they were doing immoral business that challenged the bottom line of the law.
"You guys sit down. I'll have the kitchen bring you dinner. Make yourself at home and don't be polite," said Mr. Jeroen.
"There are still guests on the third floor. I'll go greet them first. You guys take your time and have a nice dinner," he said before heading to the elevator on the right, swiping his card and entering.
"Mmm, mmm!"
