"I will touch the stars... or die trying." ==================== Note: NO R-18, R**e, Romance or pre-marital handholding. I take no pleasure in writing such things. There's a bunch of killing and gruesome descriptions though. The novel is a bit slow in the first chapters, but after that, it picks up and gets significantly better. Also, the power system is similar to BotDS, but I've asked the author for permission to use it. It's also heavily inspired my writing, but the beginning is where its most prevalent. Heartbeat

A few seconds later, the scythe had formed completely, transforming into a weapon designed for reaping.

The hilt of the scythe was the length of an adult human, slender enough for a child to wrap their hand around, with intricate vein-like patterns etched across its surface.

Blood seeped through these little channels, like roots of a tree, converging at its blade. Despite its thinness, no one would argue its sturdiness.

The blade, however, was a true manifestation of its lethal capabilities. It was terrifyingly sharp, radiating with a sharp vermillion hue that seemed to pulse like a heartbeat.

The blade extended longer than two arms placed side by side, and the sharp curve altering its shape gave it a deeply menacing form.

Even the bravest of warriors would not dare to pick such a weapon up, let alone fight against its wielder.
