Eiji VS Chloe

A Witch named Chloe raises her right hand, and magical energy surges from her body, forming a powerful wind.

"Ice Magic: Oliot."

A beautiful staff with a blue gem and a sharp tip appears in Chloe's hand.

"Oh, dear. They never learn."

Dealing with Lydia Kingdom's Witch-hunting army is nothing new for her; she's familiar with their equipment and vehicles.

On the other side, Eiji sees a shadow covering him. Looking up, a giant sword, 10 meters long, suddenly appears and falls towards him.

Seeing the staff in the other's hand, Eiji stands on his motorcycle and jumps backward.

The giant sword shatters the motorcycle into debris.

Still in the air, Eiji stands on the giant sword's hilt, raising his left hand towards the woman, flames appearing in his right hand.

After aiming, he releases the flaming arrow.

The boy warns, surprised by the other side avoiding Chloe's attack and countering in an unexpected way.

"Stay behind me, Adonis!"

Without turning, Chloe slams the staff into the ground, and thick ice walls appear in front of her.

Even though she prepared her defense, she underestimates Eiji's attack power.

The fire arrow's temperature is like the surface of the sun. Consequently, like a hot knife through butter, the ice walls can't stop the arrow and continue flying towards Chloe unhindered.

Reflexively, Chloe tilts her head to avoid the arrow, but the flame's heat reddens and almost burns her skin.

"Oh no, Adonis!"

In the dire situation, she forgets her foster son.

"Written-Style Summoning Magic: Cainz."

Unlike Chloe's panic, Adonis swiftly writes a series of runes in the air with a feathered pen in his hand.

Afterward, the fire arrow stops three meters from Adonis, surrounded by golden runes. Nevertheless, the arrow's intense heat makes him sweat.

"Feel your own attack, scoundrel!"

Cainz is an incantation to send back projectiles sent by someone.

Adonis shouts and controls the fire arrow flying back to its origin.

"Reflecting attacks, huh. Not bad."

With Infinity active, Eiji doesn't need to dodge. The fire arrow stops in front of him, slowed as if frozen.

Ice with sharp edges emerges from the ground attacking him.

Eiji wants to test the Witch's strength in front of him, so he deactivates Infinity, letting the other side not despair for being unable to penetrate it.

Covering his hand with Cursed Energy, he jumps and smashes the ice spikes with his punches.

More ice spikes appear, continuously attacking him without relent.

While Eiji is busy destroying the ice spikes relying on his physical fitness, Chloe and Adonis watch the scene in astonishment.

"Hey, Chloe. That guy doesn't look like Lydia Kingdom's soldier, and his abilities are similar to a Witch. Could he be a Witch?"

Adonis expresses his doubt.

The previous fire arrow and the other side's physical toughness make him think Eiji is not human.

"Nonsense, Adonis. He's definitely not a Witch! Witches have always been women, that's basic knowledge. Did you forget?"

Chloe is busy launching various attacks using her Ice Magic. Additionally, there's something she doesn't tell her foster son.

The other side has an evil aura within, making Chloe shudder.

"Because he's not a Witch, it means he's an enemy!"

Looking ahead, Adonis's gaze is determined. He wants to help Chloe eliminate the enemy!

Next, he starts writing runes in the air again with a different formula.

"Written-Style Summoning Magic: Grande."

A giant robot, 10 floors tall, emerges from the ground.

"Attack him!" Adonis commands.

The robot moves forward towards Eiji.

This time, Chloe doesn't oppose Adonis assisting her. Even as one of the Grand Witches, she can't defeat Eiji.

"That robot is like a liberty statue."

Moving at high speed, Eiji destroys all the ice attacks aimed at him.

"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red."

He shoots Red from his fingertip.

*Whoosh*

Red collides with the giant robot, and the formidable repulsion force crushes it without any resistance.

"What?!"

Seeing his strongest incantation easily destroyed, Adonis's eyes widen, and he exclaims in shock.

"Don't be stunned, Adonis! He's coming." Chloe yells as she watches Eiji walk towards them.

She intensifies her attacks. Hundreds of ice swords appear behind her and shoot forward.

Facing the attack, Eiji raises his right hand covered in Red.

A super-strong repulsion force sends hundreds of ice swords flying backward.

(It seems Witches are not skilled in close combat. This woman always keeps her distance from me. So, it can be concluded that Witches in this world are similar to Wizards, only knowing how to cast spell from afar)

Through this fight, Eiji gathers basic information about how Witches fight.

Of course, he's not entirely sure. After all, he has only encountered one Witch. Eiji is unaware of how other Witches fight, like the woman in front of him or if there are Witches specializing in close combat.

"Hmm?"

Feeling a larger shadow, he looks up and sees an ice meteor falling from the sky. Then, he realizes Chloe and Adonis are running away to avoid the impact.

"Do you want to buy time to escape, or do you believe you can defeat me?"

His hand shrouded in Blue, Eiji raises his hand.

He manifests Blue in the sky.

The ice meteor, supposed to fall due to gravity, instead rises upward due to the Blue's gravitational pull.

"He can even do that?"

Chloe is stunned, seeing one of her trump cards overcome so easily.

Sensing no chance, she pulls Adonis and escapes.

Her confidence as a Grand Witch has vanished. She has used all her incantations, but none has harmed the other side.

Thinking of Adonis's safety, Chloe no longer wants to continue the fight. For her, survival is paramount.

"Chloe—"

"Don't say anything, Adonis. We have to escape from that monster."

Before Adonis finishes his sentence, Chloe interrupts.

From her perspective, Eiji is a monster due to the evil aura he emits.

Her pupils contract as she feels the gravitational pull, losing control of her body.

Then, Chloe is thrown backward by the force. Realizing this, she releases Adonis's hand so he doesn't get dragged along.

"Chloe!!!"

"Stay alive, Adonis... I love you."

With a gentle smile on her face, Chloe bids farewell, distancing herself further.

"Damn! Don't take Chloe away from me."

Adonis grits his teeth, cursing, then runs after Chloe.

"Fool! Hurry, leave me!"

Seeing him chasing, Chloe angrily screams. However, Adonis pays no heed and continues the pursuit.

A few moments later, Chloe arrives in front of Eiji.

Eiji snatches the staff from Chloe's hand before she can use another incantation, then shatters it into shards of ice.

"Stop resisting. You should realize the power gap between us." Says Eiji while restraining both of Chloe's hands.
