This is mostly a slice of life and no dark or really depressing things will happen to them. If you enjoy a light and fluffy read, try this out There is Inchest here, I'll let you guess who she is. There will be blood for a certain cute and misunderstood waifu too. Probably a harem with 3/4 members.

Chapter 4 - Hospital

Inside a private ward, Izuku and Inko were tended to on separate beds, leaving the last 3rd bed unoccupied. Although it is currently nighttime, their bodies would have still been drenched in the scorching summer heat if it hadn't been for the air conditioner cooling the room.

Although the two were determined as safe and healthy by the hospital, Inko did not leave without any after-effects. Her right arm was cast as bandages were present from her right shoulder to her waist.

Izuku, on the other hand, was perfectly fine. So much so that he had woken up long before his mother.

Izuku slowly opened his eyes, trying to accustom himself to the bright light of the ward. He moved his hand to scrunch the middle of his eyes, trying to calm his state of mind.

He hoped everything wasn't just a dream, after all, it'd be quite sad if he woke up and was still in his previous world, all alone. He won't go back, not after the little joy he had experienced.

A breath of relief escaped as he turned and saw Inko sleeping peacefully beside him. Seeing that he was still Izuku, he started to wonder what happened.

His memory stopped right after the headache appeared. Since sleeping on it won't produce any answers, he got up and read through their hospital records.

'I'm fine but mom suffered a bit, how did an explosion even happen though,' Izuku thought. The report wrote their injuries as nothing life-threatening, which relieved him greatly.

He looked at the bandaged Inko whose right arm was supported with a cast, feeling complicated. As he thought, being loved and protected is definitely foreign and, to some extent, made him uncomfortable. Yet, at the same time, he enjoyed it.

Seeing Inko injured definitely produced quite nasty feelings inside. The dark thoughts he tried to suppress, to not let out in this new chance of life, started to seep out slowly. He swore to find out what really happened and made whoever did this to her pay.

Shaking his thoughts out, Izuku decides to wander around, trying to find some form of a mirror. He had, after all, not yet seen his new body.

He noticed that the ward is indeed private, but had no bathroom, so he went out and searched for one.

Something had been bugging him for a while now. The hospital looked high-end enough that by his estimations, a single mom like Inko would not be able to afford a private ward.

The most logical explanation would be that the one who brought them here insisted on giving them a private ward. But why would they do that, he wondered. Did a hero bring them here and did this to increase his or her publicity? Maybe.

Izuku might not know the whole situation of this different world filled with wondrous and magical powers, but he believed that human greed would still follow wherever he goes. It's in his nature to assume the worst of others, especially when they're usually correct.

His current knowledge of this world, after all, stems only from the previous Izuku, who wholeheartedly believe in the goodness of man. He needed to do more research.

Even if he never planned on being anything remotely close to a so-called Hero, he still believes learning its ins and outs to be valuable.

He looked and gazed around, remembering that everything is now in Japanese. The sudden language change somehow didn't bother him one bit. A bit surprising but it worked in his favor.

After circling the quiet night atmosphere of the hospital for a while, Izuku found the bathroom and looked at his reflection in the mirror.

'...'

'...I'm in Japan with Green and messy as fuck hair, big googly round eyes, and perfectly aligned freckles…

Am I in a fucking anime?'

~~~~~
Izuku picked up the apple from the complementary basket of fruits near Inko's bed. He also had one but it was devoured by him a while ago.
Stress eating is definitely one of the more prominent perks of his previous life, which he carried over to here.
Just as with the sudden language change, the transition from the real world into an anime world was quite unnoticeable until he actually tried to take notice of it.
Although his job didn't allow him to browse the internet a lot, he still had his fair share of anime, albeit, just a tiny bit. Enough to know that he's currently in one, but not to recognize what anime he's in.
'But, if I'm in an "anime world" now, which is the real world, what world is my previous world…Ah, fuck it, who cares!' Izuku decided to not brood on this topic any further.
He doubts an answer will appear even if he pondered it for years, it would only stress him out even more. Ignorance is bliss, as they say.
Leaving his existential thoughts aside, Izuku doesn't really know what to feel about his current appearance. He always had a face that leaned more toward the "intimidating" side rather than the current "fuckboy" one.
He didn't hate it, rather, he couldn't since it is, in the end, his face. The face and body he will be using for the rest of his life.
Since he didn't really have anyone to love him before, he chose to love himself. And that's the train of thought he will follow still.
Speaking of love, Izuku wondered when Lin, his one true family from his past life will come. At first, he thought Lin will just transmigrate with him, but the previous Izuku never had a cat.
So, he believed that Lin is still on his way. One way or another.
"I hope she comes soon," Izuku muttered, his words full of melancholy. It had been a few years since he held her warm body.
He doesn't know whether Lin knew that he was the cause of her death, and if she did, he hoped for her to forgive him.
Though he would understand, It would still hurt him if she didn't and refused to come with him because of it.
Suddenly, a small piece of paper appeared in front of him, floating above his eye line before landing on his open palm.
Izuku was surprised. An object suddenly appears right before his eyes, who wouldn't? Though, he quickly calmed himself, thinking that it was the act of some quirk user.
He grabbed and opened the note, only to be proven wrong and baffled at the same time. The note read;
[Dear Harry/Izuku
Lin's matter took a bit more time than usual, so, as an apology, I've given Lin an upgrade too, hope you like it!
Sincerely, your god]
'...'
Unable to comprehend how a god managed to be late, Izuku's thoughts were quickly interrupted as a familiar sound he always dreamt of hearing once more finally entered his ears.
*meow!*
