"What..?" Jude said out loud, the system notification resounding in his mind as he looked back toward the many players slowly jogging back to their positions.

His eyes darted around—searching for the slightest hint as to where this anxious feeling might've originated from, but soon enough the answer presented itself.

His eyes landed on a tall, well-built teenager, his specialized windproof goggles shielded his mesmerizing orange eyes, which by now turned into a gloomy shade of orange. His raven hair, usually groomed and styled to perfection, was now untamed and windswept, adding a touch of wildness to his otherwise refined demeanor.

"I should've seen it coming." A flash of realization hit Jude as he finally registered the root of his unease. His eyes were glued to the sight of the lonesome figure whose head didn't lift off the ground.

Jude finally went back to the net, the score was 3-2 with team X being in the lead, but he still couldn't get rid of the stirring within him, a sense of restlessness that he couldn't quite explain.

Soon, the sound of the artificial whistle coming out of the huge screen, took Jude out of his daze as he watched Team Z's kickoff. His concentration reached an all-time high, his eyes solely focused on the scene unfolding in front of him.

The opposing team's striker took a deep breath, gaining back his focus, passing the ball back to Yukimiya before rushing forward alongside 4 other players.

"After all, that's the reason why I came to Blue Lock," Yukimiya whispered to himself while finally looking up, his foot firmly trapping the ball.

His smile widened, his windproof goggles scanning the entire field before he slowly started advancing, the ball glued to his feet as if they had fused.

"Stop being so slow!" Akira yelled out as he rushed towards him, he threw his leg forward in hope of touching the ball but Yukimiya easily reacted to his tackle and pushed the ball to the right with the outside of his foot.

As soon as he dodged Akira's tackle, he picked up the pace, sprinting past Team X's striker. Soon enough he reached his top speed, keeping the ball under his full control even at such a high speed.

'I need to set up my own goal... Look for the best path!' Yukimiya's eyes grew even darker and more focused as a slight glow began to appear in the deepest part of his pupils.

His field of view grew wider as he analyzed the current state of the field through his specialized glasses. This time going straight through the middle of the field, he came face to face with Miyata.

"All this resistance is useless," Yukimiya said as he came to a sudden halt, dragging the ball back with his left foot. Noticing Miyata's slight surprise and the shift in his center of gravity, he capitalized on this opportunity and stepped forward, pushing the ball past Miyata and making use of his physique and speed to get past him with ease.

A small smile formed on Yukimiya's face, paving a brand new path for himself through the chaos of the field, using simple body feigns and playing with the opponent's center of gravity as he pleased, he easily cruised through the midfield.

"We're with you, Yukimiya!" One of team Z's players yelled out. Three of Yukimiya's teammates managed to make it to the last defensive line.

Unexpectedly, Yukimiya didn't ignore him this time, he looked up to him—his smile growing wider. "Since you want it so much, I'll give you the chance to be useful." He muttered, running towards the player who wanted to support him in his offense.

Concerned about the incoming danger, Yanagi followed him closely, sticking to him more than his own shadow. Surprisingly, Yukimiya carried on with his sprint, cutting the space between friends and foes, simply running through people as if he were dodging obstacles.

Reaching the player who yelled out his support for him, Yukimiya rushed behind him, using him as a wall to get rid of Yanagi's constant harassment.

In that split second, his golden eyes picked up the small path forming itself in front of his very eyes. With defenders and strikers running chaotically in front of him, a small path towards the goal appeared in his field of view.

His sight narrowed down more and more as the seconds went by, with 24 meters between him and the goal, time slowed in his mind as he armed his shot. Focusing on the most optimal path for the ball, bringing back his extended leg, he connects with the ball, sending it flying towards the goal with a powerful spin.

The ball took off, reaching a high altitude, its incredible spin making it hard to follow as the ball sharply dropped in midair, reacting solely thanks to his instincts, Jude dived to the left, stretching out his arm as far it could, but this time the shot was far more precise and powerful than the past ones.

Jude gritted his teeth as he watched the ball sail past him and into the back of the net. 'He already reached a state close to the flow!' Jude cursed in his mind as he fell down on his side as a result of his dive.

Two short whistles, followed by a single long mechanical whistle echoed through the deafening silence of the stadium. Turning around to lie on his back, Jude took one last look at the giant screen in front of the stadium, broadcasting the new score, 3-3.

All around the field, players lay sprawled on the grass, their chests heaving and their limbs trembling. Some of them were too exhausted to even speak, while others groaned in pain.

The game had been a grueling one, played at a relentless pace from start to finish. Both teams had given their all, and it showed in their exhaustion and frustration seeing the game end in a tie.

The game had been a rollercoaster of emotions, with team Z letting out a sigh of relief as they barely escaped a loss in their very first game. Meanwhile, team X's players could be seen lying on the ground, reminiscing about every single mistake and missed opportunity.

Seeing the victory slip from their hands at the very last minute was a feeling they didn't want to ever experience again, in those few minutes after the end of the game, an unspoken agreement formed between the players and rivals of Team X.
