I look down the window to see him scratching the back of his head as he talks to Kate, after a few minutes they start to walk back into the house, I decide it's my cue to go.

"I just remembered that I have something to do, maybe we can all hang out another time", I say as I collide with them on the stairs.

"That'll be nice, I'm sorry for just walking out like that, honestly I thought I was interrupting something", Kate says,

Well, you did kinda interrupt something.

"Yeah it wasn't your fault it's okay, see you", I wave at the both of them, move past them and head out the front door.
