Chapter 22

Agatha kept looking at Devan, until the man completely disappeared from her sight. After that, Agatha gave milk to Alika who continued to cry.

"You must be thirsty, yes. Honey?" While providing nutrition for Alika, he also talked to his little daughter.

"Grow up fast, my dear. Be a beautiful princess, one that you can be proud of." While stroking Alika's head, Agatha also had high hopes for her daughter, hopefully in the future Alika will become someone who can make her parents and homeland proud.

Alika was no longer crying, she slowly began to fall asleep again. Agatha wiped the last of the tears from her cheeks. Really, he never dreamed that he would meet Devan again. The figure of the man who became his first love.

 Agatha is a princess from the Miracle kingdom, while Devan is only a man who comes from a small circle. His father was an ordinary soldier, while his mother was a worker who usually looked after livestock in the fields.

Agatha could only marry and marry a man who was also a noble, at least the son of a prime minister. However, there is not a single man who comes from the aristocratic class who can melt Agatha's heart, only Devan has succeeded in stealing her heart.

They both know that this is wrong, but their love is so strong that both Agatha and Devan are reluctant to part. In the end, the two people who loved each other had a secret relationship. No one knows the relationship between the two of them.

Then, Devan was paraded around Miracle City. Along the way, Devan was pelted with various objects, some threw vegetables, stones and even iron which made Devan's body covered in fresh blood.

Meanwhile, Agatha kept asking to get out of her room. He wants to meet his father and asks Devan not to be punished.

"Dad! Dad! Dad! Dad! Don't lock me up here, Dad!"

Agatha banged on her bedroom door, she was crying and screaming. However, no one can go against the orders of the Miracle Sovereign King.

"Father! Open the door, Father! Father! Open the door!"

"Let me meet Devan, Father!"

"Father!"

"Father!"

His screams were completely useless. Agatha was confined to her own room, shackled there like a slave tortured by her master. If his room wasn't given a magic seal, then he would have been able to get out of there. He couldn't fight or break the magic seal that his father had created.

Agatha was weeping, it was really difficult for her to be able to fight her father. Right now what she was most worried about was Devan, the young man she loved so much.

"Dad..." she whispered to the floor. "Why do you treat your daughter like this? I love her so much, I should be the one being punished and not her," she whispered, sobbing in pain.

As a lover, he feels like a failure because he can't protect his love and feels guilty for making other people suffer punishment, while he is the one who is guilty.

Agatha banged on her bedroom door again. However, no matter how hard he tried no one would be able to open the door.

Her little body went limp, the bones in her legs softened, Agatha fell down behind the door. She kept crying, screaming until her voice could no longer be heard.

  "Father!"

She kept calling the man who became her first love, her father. Yes, for a girl, her first love is her father. Agatha respected her father so much, she loved and obeyed every command of her father. However, today he had disobeyed the order which finally had to end with Devan receiving his punishment.

Meanwhile, in a separate place, Devan's breath was staggering between life and death. He was constantly pelted with stones and iron by the residents of Miracle, who considered himself a traitor.

Devan was already at the Miracle town square, his hands were tied and so were his feet. There was already someone who used to execute criminals. A stocky man, with black skin and a long beard and a bald head, was ready to cut off Devan's head.

The man was carrying a large machete in his hand. Devan took a deep breath when his eyes caught sight of the man, who was grinning there.

Devan was not afraid of the machete that was on the man, but he just wanted to see Agatha before he really left this world.

"O Lord Venus. Take care of Agatha's daughter for me. Make her always happy, don't let her cry just for a weak man like me," Devan muttered so softly.

Devan was no longer able to shed his tears, it was impossible for him to cry just because in a moment he would die. The bald-headed man came to Devan with a broad smile.

"Say your last wish traitor!" asked the bald-headed man in a lazy tone.

In fact he was reluctant to ask this because for him Devan was a traitor, a traitor did not deserve to be pitied. However, due to the prevailing regulations, the man must ask about Devan's last wish before he dies.

Devan smiled slightly in response to the question. Maybe for him there is no last request, why should he ask because of course he will not be able to enjoy the last request.

However, there was one thing Devan wanted to convey, "I don't have a final request, but I just hope His Majesty the King doesn't punish Princess Agatha for her innocence."

Devan also added, after his death, he wanted all Miracle residents not to hate Princess Agatha for loving a poor man like her. Devan also advised to take good care of Agatha's daughter and asked the bald-headed man to convey his message.

The man was made to laugh at the request. He really gave Devan a thumbs up for daring to love a princess from the Miracle kingdom.

"Your request is not difficult, so... Alright, I'll pass it on to Princess Agatha later. Besides, she also has to know that the man she loves has left this world. Hahahaha..."

The man laughed loudly at the end of his sentence. Devan was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief, at least he would leave this world without leaving any burdens and regrets behind.

Devan believes that after his departure, Agatha will live a better life before meeting him. If there is a second life, then Devan only hopes that he will be reunited with Agatha.
