Chapter 8: Green part 4

Luo's eyes widened as he could feel a great threat emanating from behind him. Though he was not fast enough to react, his instincts kicked in, and he rolled to the side.

He knew his opponent was powerful, but he underestimated his speed. Because the moment his instinct kicked him, Urahara appeared right behind him. He took Luo's skill head-on, and in a mere blink of an eye, he appeared right behind him and was about to hit Luo with his cane.

"Impressive, you managed to dodge it."

"You flatter me; based on your speed, you could have easily hit me if you wanted to; you just held back."

Luo replied, still maintaining eye contact with Urahara, trying to anticipate his next movement and planning ahead what he should do next. Thanks to his previous experiment, he managed to conclude that Urahar, and as a result, presumably, all soul reapers are unable to resist a formation fully.

It was strange, as the power gap was greatly noticeable; had Urahara been a cultivator, the formation wouldn't have even affected him in the slightest bit.

"That previous attack... That contained both Reiatsu and that so-called Qi... And on top of that was a near spitting image of Hado #4 Byakurai, ... So he really is Isshin's son... It seems my assumptions were correct... Everything he originally had had been fused with his newfound power... Fascinating... Now to the next step."

Urahara thoguht as he observed Luo.

"That was a fine display of skill since you wanted to see one of mine, correct?"

Luo didn't reply, only nodded. He believed he was prepared for what was to come and kept concentrating and observing Urahara's movements. Seeing how ready he was, Urahara raised his free hand to his chest. With one determined gaze, he looked into Luo's eyes, which were both warm and serious at the same time.

Deep down, Urahara knew that what he was about to do was not right and would be extremely dangerous, but it needed to be done.

"Hado #90 Kurohitsugi"

After Rukia left Urahara's shop, she was staring at the vial of pills. She was uncertain about this whole ordeal; however, for some unknown reason, she felt a sort of truth behind Luo's words. For some reason, the more she thought about the pills, the more she believed in their effects.

After a loud, audible sigh, he opened the vial and took a deep breath of the aroma of the pills. For some odd reason, she felt a touch more energised after sniffing the pills. So she took the out, closed the vial back quickly, and then took the pill.

Nothing happened. She felt nothing at all; she even stopped and looked around. But then suddenly, it hit him like a train. She almost collapsed. The world around her was spinning faster and faster, and she could barely stand still. As a result, she slowly stumbled over to the nearest house and used that to support her.

She was about to puke as her face turned whiter and whiter, but then everything calmed down, and even she grew quite calm. She felt a strange warmth in her stomach spreading slowly across her whole body. And as the warmth spread slowly, she could feel that some of her power started returning.

She didn't know how long it would last how much it would restore, but still, she was greatly surprised. She felt a sense of happiness and gratefulness.

As she walked on the road, she looked around to see that the sun was slowly setting down. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and just as she was about to stop to admire it for a brief moment, she received a notification on her phone.

She quickly grabbed her phone to see what it was. And once she read it, her eyes widened. She quickly closed her phone, put it away, and at the same time, kicked off. She ran as fast as she could while the pill kept working.

Suddenly, she came to a sudden halt. She felt a suffocating spiritual pressure, which forced her to stop. Her legs were trembling, and she quickly looked in the direction where she felt it: Urahara's shop. She couldn't understand what could have happened there for such power to be released; however, she did not have much time.

After a brief moment, she managed to collect herself, and she started running. Though the pressure was intense, even after such a distance, she had no choice but to run because she had a new mission; a new hollow was about to appear. The destination was none other than the Kurosaki Clinic.

With all her might, she ran; she was surprised that the pill even helped her run faster and feel less tired from running. As soon as she got to the house, she quickly rushed in through the hole created by the hollow and rushed upstairs to Ichigo's room. Fortunately, no one was at home, so she was not seen entering the Kurosaki house.

"Ichigo, we ahve a problem!"

She shouted as she rushed into the boy's room. She was panting heavily, but still, she put her glove on.

"What happened? Where is Luo anyway? Didn't you..."

"No time!"

Rukia interrupted Ichigo by once again punching his head with her strange glove, pushing his soul out of his body just in time. Just as Ichigo's body collapsed and his soul was brought backwords, a massive snake-like hollow nearly demolished half of his room.

"What the hell?!"

Ichigo shouted, grabbing his massive blade. With great force, he dashed forward and wanted to slash the hollow. However, he just caused even more destruction by cutting his ceiling with his massive blade, and the greatly weakened attack was easily repelled by the hollow.

Rukia sighed and extended her hands, but at that moment, the hollow jumped out straight onto the road. Ichigo jumped after it without hesitation.

"You will pay for this, you beast!"

He shouted with great anger.
