4 Breakthrough

Taking advantage of the enlightenment he's currently experiencing. Yon continued to absorbed the spirit energy around his environment. He was like a black hole that attracted all the spirit energy around his neighborhood. Eventually he experienced another wall to breakthrough. And that's exactly what he plans to do. Gathering double the amount of spirit energy he felt that one needs to breakthrough he pushed with all his might.

'Break!' Yon has arrived at the 2nd stage of his current level of cultivation. His enlightenment ended but he didn't immediately stop meditating instead he was thinking of how to consolidate his foundation. And more importantly he needs to know what is the name of his current cultivation stage and his techniques!

The phenomenon caused by him didn't just attracted the spirit energy around but also other things. Specifically, it attracted the hollows that were hiding around. The pluses that weren't able to move on and a group of shinigami that was patrolling this part of town.

Yon finally got up from his bed, sat on his chair and opened the notebook he used earlier.

"With a lot of Chinese cultivation novel I've read back on earth- I mean back in my last life, I don't know exactly which one to follow."

"For now I am probably on the very first level. Let's start naming it then. Hmmmnn. If there's any cultivation novel that struck me more, that would be the novel 'Invincible'."

"Alright I've decided to follow that cultivation levels. The only problem is if even still I remember those levels. Let's see. Invincible has the 1st level or realm which is called the Houtian realm then, Xiantian realm, Saint realm, God realm and Highgod realm in the mortal world-" Yon's thought was cut off by another realization when he said the word mortal world. Right now he has one question that was shaking his mind.

"Will I become an Immort-" his sentence was cut off by a shrieking sound made by a familiar entity he encountered yesterday. Yon tried to sense around him the way he did last night. His sense has actually become wider than the last time enabling him to sense everything around a quarter miles.

[reference for your imagination: 100 cm = 1m, 1000m=1km, 1600km = 1 mile. Quarter mile = around 400 km ]

"Hollows!!! There about 5 of them! wait that's not all, I can feel souls running away from them and stronger souls following closely behind. The ones running away must be pluses while the stronger ones are soul reapers."

"Now then, what do I do? I haven't even learnt any attacking techniques. Should I just hide?"

"Yeah, I think it's the right thing to do since I can't just show myself just yet. But how do I do that exactly? Hmmmmn"

Yon sat on top of his bed once more and sensed his spirit energy if it was leaking or if it was obvious for one to sense it. He ofcourse sensed it immediately. He doesn't have any manuals on how to hide his spirit energy so he used the only thing he have right now, instinct.

Meanwhile the pluses were now 20 meters away from his house. Followed by those hollows he sensed earlier. Behind them were the Soul reapers who were rushing in. They were exactly the group of Soul reapers that saw Yon yesterday.

"Senpai! How much longer are we going to follow them. If we don't take care of them now, those pluses will be eaten." one of the junior asked.

There were 6 Soul reapers in that group. Three of them are 6th year senior students in Shino Academy while the rest were 2nd year students.

"Each of us 6th year will take care one of the hollows. While the three of you take care of one. Whoever finishes first immediately head over to the last one!" the leader of the group immediately made up his mind.

A while ago he was reluctant to eliminate the hollows immediately when he was able to sense a spike of spiritual pressure, and he was almos certain that it was what attracted those pluses and hollows to come out. However the situation changed whe the hollows were almost catching up to those pluses.

The Soul reapers rushed over to the hollows with the intention of killing them. All but one was occupied by the Soul Reaper's appearance. Right at this time, Yon was already succesful on hiding his presence and reiryoku inside his room. His sense however was fully opened as he observed the situation.

4 Hollows were vanquished just a few distance from his house while 1 of the pluses were eaten by the last hollow before one of the 6th year was able to rush over and stop it from eating another. Then the rest of the 6th year rushed over to help and eliminated the that last hollow.

The rest of the pluses were terified after one of them being was eaten by a hollow right front of them.

"Are you guys okay?" One of the 6th year asked. However the pluses were too scared to even answer him.

One of the 2nd year student who was a female then gently moved forward and said.

"It okay, you guys are safe now. We won't hurt you so try to calm down."

The pluses understood her and they all managed to sigh a relief knowing that they are safe now.

"It is dangerous for you guys to stay here in the world of the living. It is the Job of us Soul reapers to send you all to safe place called the Soul Society. You guys will be safe once your there."

"Is that true? then please, please send us right away." begged one of the pluses.

"Before we do that, can we at least ask you if you guys felt anything strange awhile ago when those hollows chased you?"

"Hollows? You mean those monsters?"

"Yes, we call those monsters Hollows. Beside our Job to send pluses like you to Soul Society. It's also our Job to eliminate those hollows."

"Before those monsters chased us, we were attracted by something that was coming from this direction so we all followed it." another one of the pluses continued the statement.

"That was when we encountered those monsters that came out of nowhere. We started running away but we still followed the direction of what was attracting us."

"We were all feeling one thing. And that was iff we reach whatever was attracting us, we would be definitely be safe."

"But before we could arrive one of us was eaten by those monsters and at the same time the thing that was attacting us was gone."

"Okay, thank you for all the information. Let us all send you guys now so you you will be safer."

"Please."

The 6th years each performed a konso to send the pluses over to Soul Society while the 2nd years watched only.

After sending those pluses the Soul Reapers returned too after opening a senkaimon. Meanwhile Yon who was inside his room has observed everything from the start. Right now he was more interested in the residual reishi that was left behind after those hollows that were killed by the Soul Reapers and pluses that were sent to Soul Society.

The very thin reishi in the atmosphere was almost depleted because of him. However he needed to absorb them for him to become stronger. He coul feel it, after just entering the 2nd order of the Houtian Realm that his reiryoku was now comparable to 4 boulders combined together.

Naming my techniques comes later, for now I need to absorb those reishi risiduals by those hollows and pluses. Yon opened his window and jumped through it. He rushed over to the distance where the reishi risiduals were. He then sat in lotus position to absorb the first one left behind by a hollow.

While absorbing yon could feel that it was incomparable to the thin reishi in the atmosphere that he absorbed earlier during enlightenment. The reishi risiduals were in fact far thicker than the natural reishi in the atmophere. Just absorbing one amount already half filled his 2nd order dantian.

His dantian was formed awhile ago when he began cultivating and broke through the first order of Houtian Realm. When the dantian wasn't formed yet all of his spirit energy was all over his body without any direction of where to go. When he broke through, his meridian channels were opened up enabling him to guide the spirit energy he absorbed in the atmosphere towards his dantian.

[note: Dantian is what houses Yon's reiryoku or spirit Energy. Reishi is the natural spirit energy in the atmosphere while reishi risiduals is the spirit energy left behind when one killed a hollow or sent a soul to soul society.]

Yon proceeded to absorb the second one making him full. He was certain to breakthrough the 3rd order once he absorbs the 3rd one. He found the third and prepared himself for a breakthrough.

'According to the novels i've read. Building my foundation is important before breaing through another realm. However I can't just leave this risiduals lying around since we are going to move later.' Yes later since it was already early in the morning, although it's still dark so no one was still up.

When Yon finished absorbing all 5 reishi risiduals his cultivation realm was already at the peak of 3th order Houtian realm. He was now preparing himself for another breakthrough since there were still three more reishi risiduals left behind the the 3 pluses that was sent over to Soul Society.

This time, Yon was able to pull those reishi residuals towards him and absorbed them all in one go. Although he was absorbing three reishi risiduals it wasn't as thick as the reishi risidual when a hollow was slain. But Yon felt that it was more than enough for him to have a succesful breakthrough so he still continue absorbing.

'Break!'

Yon was able to breakthrough the early stage of the 4th order Houtian Realm. His reiryoku was now comparable to almost half a mountain. Meaning he's almost half as powerful as those Soul reapers earlier. 'Based on their attire, I could tell that they were just ordinary Soul Reapers. I still have a long way to go to stand against a captain Class Soul reaper.' Yon cleched his fist not because of the difference in power but by the feeling of confidence that he can do it. He can definitely climb to the top even if he's not a Soul Reaper, Vizard, Quincy or even a Fullbringer!

Yon went back to his room through the window. Since Yon's reiryoku manipulation was now on a whole different level, jumping up high in the air or walking in the air was just a simple matter to him now. Although he couldn't fly it was better than going through the door and risk waking up his grandfather.

On his desk, Yon was once again back to brainstorming to name his techniques/abilities/moves and everything he's learned. In the end Yon was able to finish it up just as the sun was rising. However he doesn't feel sleepy or tired at all. This is how he decided to name them.

Walking/Rushing/Stopping in the air using reiryoku/spirit energy = Geppo (One piece reference)

Enhancing agility, perception and reaction using reiryoku = Zone (Kuroko no basket reference)

Spiritual pressure = Riatsu

Suddenly able to understand things he couldn't understand = Enlightenment

Controlling Reiryoku according to his will = Spirit Energy Manipulation aka SEM

The act of absorbing spirit energy from reishi or reishi risiduals = Cultivating/Cultivate

The ability to sense in a quarter mile distance= spirit sense(tempted to name it divine sense but stopped thinking that if it becomes stronger, then he will name it divine sense.)

Believe him or not but all of this was done through brainstorming although he ripped a term or two from other anime, Yon was still glad he was able to organize his thoughts about the matter. Yon decided to rest for a bit, although the sun began rising, his grandfather still hasn't woken up.
