Grey's Pov

I hadn't seen Bella ever since the event ended and I felt like she was avoiding me.

I found Suzie and asked her if she knew where she was or had gone home, but she said that she was still around and that the last time she saw her she was talking to some red haired guy.

I walked up to the guy.

"Where is Bella?" I asked.

"Who?" He asked back.

"The dark skinned girl you were talking to earlier" I explained

He smirked,"oh that chick, damn she is pretty" he said.

I bit down on my lips to trying not to say anything stupid.

"Where is she?" I asked again.

"Why should I tell you? You're not the only one that wants her dude. I'm waiting for her to finish up so I can take her home for the night and do a threesome with her and my girlfriend" he said licking his lips

Fuck I lost my shit

I grabbed him by the collar," first of all, that's my wife you're talking about" I said in between my teeth.

He began to shake in fear.

"Oh...fuck...I'm...I'm so sorry..I didn't...I didn't..."

"Where the fuck is she??" I asked again sternly.

"She... she... she said she wanted to go and swim" he said.

I slowly let go of his collar...swim?? Bella???

"Was she drunk??" I asked the man.

"No..I don't think so...I asked her if she was and she said she wasn't.."

"Did she take any alcohol!???" I asked again.

"Just.. just two bottles of Hennessy..but she's a strong-"

"Fuckkkk!!!!" I screamed holding my head.

By now everyone in the place was staring at me... confused.

"How long has she been gone??" I asked again.

My heart was beating rapidly.

"Like... like an hour" he stammered.

My heart immediately stopped beating.

"Fuck!!! She's not supposed to swim, she's allergic to chlorine!!!" I heard Suzie scream behind me.

" Where the fuck is the pool??" I asked scared, my voice starting to betray me.

"It's...it's down there" he said pointing towards an empty hallway.

Everything started happening in slow motion.

I saw my legs leaving the ground and running towards the direction of the pool.

(Background song starts to play)

... "crashing,hit a wall...

Right now, I need a miracle...

(Background song suspends )

I opened the pool door and ran towards the pool.

I saw the purple dress she wore, I jumped into the water and pulled her out .

By the time I came out, the whole pool was surrounded with people taking pictures and videos.

"Someone call the ambulance" I heard someone scream.

"They are on their way" I heard another person say.

I placed her on the cold floor.

I checked her heart, it was still beating slowly.

Fuckkkk

I started giving her mouth to mouth begging her to respond even if it was for a second.

You can't die Bella you can't, don't even think about it, Don't!!!

After about a minute of pressing her chest and pumping air in her mouth, she coughed and water spilled out of her mouth.

I small smile spread on my face.

"Bella, Bella are you okay??" I asked.

Suzie came and knelt beside me checking her temperature.

Her eyes opened slowly, then it began to spin and only her white eye was showing, then it shut close again.

"Bella, Bella wake up!" I shook her vigorously.

That was when the medical personnels finally came in with a stretcher.

They quickly put her on oxygen  and carried her on the stretcher into the ambulance.

I wanted to go with her to the hospital but Suzie said she would that I should go home and change my clothes.

I was panicking, I called all the fucken good doctors I knew and sent them over to the hospital immediately.

I was scared, I was so goddamn scared .

I couldn't even drive back, Martins had to.

"Calm down... she's going to be fine" he tried to calm me down.

"I don't know man, the reason why she survived last time was because they took her to the hospital on time.

She stayed for up to an hour dude!! A fucken hour!!!" I said holding me head in frustration.

"Calm down, Bella is a strong girl, she likes to fight , she's not going to give up so easily.

I hoped so, I just hoped so.

I got into my room and threw clothes quickly over my body, I didn't even care what I wore.

Martins drove us back to the hospital she was admitted in.

They directed us to where she was admitted.

I saw Suzie standing at the door in the hallway crying.

God please no...

"What happened?? How's she doing? " I asked.

"She's not breathing" she said between tears.

I raked my hands through my hair.

Bella can't die, she's not going to die

One of the doctors came out.

"Doctor, how's she doing? Is she responding to treatment??" Martins asked.

"Too much chlorine in her lungs, we don't know if she's gonna survive, it's only going to take a miracle, so if you believe in miracles, call for one right now"

(Background song continues)

I sat on the floor. Holding my Head.

I pulled my knees to my chin and put my head down.

God please..I know I'm not the perfect person, but look at Bella, look at all the shit she's been through.

Don't let her die, she's been too good.

Look at her mother, think I what will happen to her.

Please, I don't know much about you, but I need a miracle.

I got up and peeped into the room she was in through the blur window.

I could see more than 7 medical personnels.

God please I've lost my mother already, i don't want to loose another woman again in my life.

About 20 minutes later, a security guard came to tell Suzie that some of Bella's friends are here to see her.

Bella has friends?? Tch, never heard of them.

Suzie told him not to let them in.

Then Suzie's phone started ringing, she wanted to cut the call, but then she froze when she saw the caller ID.

"You guys it's Bella's mother" she cried.

What the hell are we going to tell her????!!!!

I took the phone from Suzie because I knew she would break down in front of the woman and cause more tension.

"Hello" I said trying to sound calm.

"Susan what happened to Bella??!!!!" I heard the woman screamed.

"This is Grey ma'am" I said.

"Grey?? Grey what's this thing I'm hearing everywhere on the news that my daughter drowned in a pool??? Please tell me it's a lie, tell me it's just rumors because if anything happens to her  I'm done for" she cried over the phone.

"She's going to be okay ma'am, she's not dead, she's just undergoing medical treatment, she'll be fine" I was lying to this woman. Her daughter isn't fine, she's battling for her life.

"I'm on my way to San Diego, I'll be there tommorow. I can't do this anymore, she's all I have" she cried and ended the call.

My hands where shaking. What if by the time she comes tomorrow... she's....????

I tried to calm myself down.

Bella can't die, she can't, she's way stronger than that... she won't.

None of us was at peace until few minutes past 3am when the doctors came out.

"How's she??"..

"How's she doing..??"

"Is she okay??..

All three of us chorused.

"Well, she's fine for now. Honestly the fact that she didn't die in the water was honestly a miracle. The chlorine that was in her system was enough poison to kill her there.

She might be unconscious for a while, we don't know how long, but it'll be a while.

And this is not an assurance that she's going to survive, it's 50/50. So just pray and keep your hopes up" they said and left.

I opened the hospital door and all three of us walked in.

She laid on the bed with her eyes closed and pipes running in and out of her body.

The beautiful dress she wore this evening was replaced with a hospital dress.

I walked up to her and held her hand.

I hadn't touched her in almost 5 months, and now that I did, she couldn't respond back.

Her hands were cold, her whole body was stiff and the only part of her body that was moving slightly was her chest indicating that she was still alive.

Imagine if I didn't come today, imagine if I didn't find her, imagine if I didn't know where she was.

She would have died??!!

My Bella would have died!!

I sighed. I was so afraid, seeing her alive was the only thing that made me calm down.

And she would wake up, I could bank on that.

I stayed up all night watching her and in the morning, Suzie and Martins asked to leave.

Suzie came back later with some people who claimed to be Bella's friends.

I didn't let them stay long.

Her mother came around later that day.

She walked up to her and held her hands.

"Bella, you're supposed to die with me, you can't leave me here alone" she whispered.

She started crying.

"She's not going to die" I assured her.

"She didn't die when she was younger and so she wouldn't die now" I added.

"I'm such a horrible mother" she said.

"I mean, just look at what happened" she added.

"It was not your fault" I told her.

"Please Grey, if she ever wakes up, and you two get back together, please protect this girl, don't let her go.

Even if I'm not there, don't let her go. This girl has been through hell and back, please Grey, please, just keep her safe, don't break her, take care of her, please" she begged crying.

I nodded," I swear, I will" I said honestly.

She rested her head on Bella's shoulder.

"The other time she woke up..." Her mother started," she said a lot of things that I couldn't explain. She said she wished she was the one kidnapped when she was born and not her brother, she said she wished she had died at childbirth, she said a lot of unbelievable things that I cried.

Grey, if she ever wakes up, I want you to make her be happy that she survived, make her see the good of life, don't let her regret living. Please" she added.

I nodded.

For about 11 weeks, Bella was unconscious. The news had gone viral that Bella had drowned in  pool and almost died.

Throughout the whole stay, I was with her, I never left because I was hoping that if she wakes up I'll be right beside her.

I abandoned my work for Martins because I was not mentally strong for it.

He came to check up on her once in a while and Suzie was also there with Bella's mother.

On the 12th weeks, Martins told me that I had a very important meeting I needed to attend and I couldn't miss it.

I didn't want to go, but Bella's mother and Suzie told me not to worry about it that they would take care of her.

I finally left.

I was in Dominica when I received a call from Suzie.

"Grey..." The way she called my name made me shake.

God please no...

"Grey ..." She said again and I heard her voice break into a sob .

"Suzie what is it??" I asked panicked.

"Bella.." she said and again sniffing.

My heart beat lost control.

She isn't...is she??

"She woke up" she choked again.

My heart sank back into my chest.

I sighed relieved . A small smile creeped onto my face.

My baby survived...

Bella's Pov

My eyes slowly opened again and this time I'm in a white room with pipes running in and out of my body.

Major dejavu ...

I tried opening my mouth to speak, but it was hard to open, then I realized there was an oxygen mask covering my nose and mouth.

I groaned a little and tried to roll.

"Bella" I heard someone whisper.

I turned and saw my mother and Suzie sitting down looking at me surprised.

Wait, I'm alive??!!!

"Bella baby oh my God" Suzie said and came to hug me, I was too shocked to respond to it.

Wait, I was actually fucken alive??!

"Bella" my mother said and came to hug me.

I couldn't even talk,it  was like I was dreaming.

"Bella say something, anything" Suzie said sobbing.

I paused," I'm alive?" I asked making sure I wasn't dreaming.

They nodded.

"How?" I choked out.

"Grey saved you" Suzie said in tears...tears of Joy.

"He did?, How did he find me?" I asked.

"Instinct Bella, instinct". Suzie said.

"What happened to you dear, what happened" my mother asked.

Then in a flash, everything that happened that day played in my head.

"Someone tried to kill me" I announced in a whisper.

"What?" Suzie asked alarmed.

"I don't know, but after I got into the water drunk and realized what I was doing, when I tried to come out, someone stopped me, the person was blonde, that was all I knew about the person" I explained scared.

My mom wrapped her arms around me," it's okay dear, we'll find out who the person is later, for now, get better okay?? I'm glad you're alive" she said in tears.

I nodded," I'm glad too" I said and rested my head on her.

Suzie went outside and I knew she was going to break the news.

"Where's Grey?" I asked.

"He had a business meeting to attend, he'd been by your side all through Bella, day and night. Even when Suzie and I weren't there. He just left last week because the meeting was important" my mom explained.

"How long was I off?" I asked again.

"13 weeks dear, we almost lost you this time" my mother said wiping tears from her eyes.

" I'm happy I didn't die this time" I whispered honestly.

She smiled and kissed the top of my head.

The doctors came in minutes later to do a check up and they said I was fine and would be discharged the next week.

When I got back to the house, my mother stayed with me and took care of me like her baby. She would feed me, bath me, and dress me up, she didn't even want me to leave my room.

Once in a while we would take night walks and talk a little and laugh.

I missed her presence so much.

"How come Peters didn't stop you from coming to see me" I asked one night in our usual stroll.

She swallowed and spoke :

"We are divorced" she announced and I was shocked.

"What??" I asked surprised.

"I divorced him that day you drowned, he told me if I leave the house that day I should consider the marriage off. And there is no way I'll be so stupid not to come see my sunshine.

I told him I was leaving, we went to court the next morning and ended everything.

You're my all Bella, I rather loose everything in the world and stay with you than to loose you and stay with everything. I love you so much my baby." She then hugged me tight.

We had been through so much together, good times and bad times.

"He said he'll be cutting us both from his income" she said.

"Mom, as I am right now, I have more than enough money to take care of us both, I'm not scared of anything. I was only scared for you. I'm married to Grey right now so I don't have any business with that man anymore.

Sure he helped us and we owe him a thank you, but that is no excuse to treat me that way" I said and she smiled.

"At least we have each other" she said and smiled.

Then we started walking back to the house." You didn't enjoy the marriage did you? You were just lying to me so that I won't be worried weren't you?" She asked.

I paused and bit my lips and nodded.

"Initially..it was hell and all, but as time went on, I started enjoying it" I explained.

"When Peter told me that he wanted you to get married I wasn't happy because, I knew you were just recovering from a heart break and all. I tried to talk to him about it but ... you know. I cried sometimes because I felt it was my fault as usual. I'm so sorry Bella" she said.

"It's okay mum, it's alright" I said.

"And about the other night, honestly Mr Hampton didn't tell us that it was for the year honestly, if I knew I would have told you, believe me" she added.

"He was just being sly" I replied.

"Can I ask you something Bella?" She asked, I nodded.

"Do you love Grey? Or are you just doing all this so that people could be happy with you?" She asked.

I exhaled,"mum, I really think I'm in love with Grey, I mean, we've been through a lot together. The first 5 months was hell and all but, after that everything changed, I mean, for the first time, I met a guy who wasn't trying to drag me to his bed weeks after us meeting.

Grey is just...fuck... he's the guy, he's that guy. And sure I was hurt that night because I was looking like a fool and all, but after thinking about all he did for me, mum I want him back. It so badly want him back.

"I'm happy that you've found love, I'm really happy for you" she said smiling.

Then we walked back to the house talking and laughing all the way like mother and daughter, this time no liabilities... just us.
