The Guest

I awoke jumping up startled, clambering to my feet. I was wordless in fear and exhaustion.

"Prepare breakfast, bring it to my room then strip; don't tarry," she said walking out the door.

I felt a shiver climb up my spine; I winced at the thought of the pain coming. An hour passed and once more I was bound by chains. I hung there my head down watching her eat her meal.

"Next time you will do well to wake up on time"

The lights above us suddenly began to flicker; the candles in the room changed from an orange red to a pale blue color. Glancing up at the flame the Dark One then turned to me; with the wave of her hands unbound my chains.

"There is a guest, go let them in."
