“Tom will pay for a culinary course at Mercer County College and make the payments on your new car. You’ll find a house that suits you both but in the meantime you’ll stay with Gary except for overnight visits with Tom. Tom’s neighborhood isn’t the best and he wants to keep you safe and doesn’t feel you would be safe without him in the apartment.”

“Will Gary mind? I think I’m cramping their style,” Robbie said, a bit nervous.

“You’re not doing this just to move out of Gary’s are you?” Bear asked sternly.

“No Sir, I wouldn’t do that to Tom.” Robbie fidgeted.

“Good.”

“They’d tell me if I was though—wouldn’t they?”

“Of course they’d tell you. They’d send you to me and Brian or Cisco and Greg for a few weeks, but they haven’t asked. You’re a very good, quiet houseguest. Now here is Tom’s copy, look over his provisions.” Bear handed Robbie the contract. “I’ll explain anything you don’t understand.”
