Office Conversations

As Lewis pushed open the door to his office, he felt a rush of mixed emotions flood over him. It had been two days since he last set foot in this space, two days of making out and spending enough time with his lover Dianne. Days where things changed for him and days he would never forget. Now, as he stepped back into the familiar surroundings of his workspace, he couldn't help but feel a sense of both relief and trepidation.
His absence had not gone unnoticed by his colleagues, especially Austin, who greeted him with a mixture of concern and curiosity as he made his way to his desk. Sarah, his ever-loyal secretary, was the first to approach him, her expression a blend of relief and reproach.
"Lewis, where have you been?" she asked, her tone laced with genuine concern. "We've been worried sick about you."
Lewis offered her a sheepish smile, his gaze dropping momentarily to the floor as he struggled to find the right words.
