I love you

Jake dragged his exhausted self to the quiet mansion. The twins had gone to spend time with this newborn Liam. The therapy session turned out successful but tiring. He had gone through the most traumatic psychological therapeutic experience.

He entered the bedroom seeing Selene sitting on the bed, her head between her hands. It was yet another gloomy moment for the family. They hadn't had time to talk over things, but at least now he could talk.

He sat next to her, not uttering a word as he pulled her into his arms.

"I'm sorry love, everything will be okay," Jake's voice broke, feeling strange to his throat as he had not talked for a while.

Selene pulled herself up, surprised at hearing his voice again.

She didn't know how to react as her heart beat fast at the sound of his voice.

"I missed hearing your voice," the words were out before she could even stop them.
