Benjamin turned to face me, his expression guarded yet betraying a hint of vulnerability beneath the facade of stoicism.
"About what?" he replied, his voice devoid of emotion.
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come. "About us," I began, my voice barely above a whisper.
"About the feelings we've been trying to ignore but can't seem to escape."
Silence hung heavy in the air, broken only by the distant rumble of thunder.
"Can I f**k you now, Erica? Penetrate your depth for satisfaction."
For a moment, it seemed as if time itself had stopped, with the world holding its breath in anticipation of what would come next.
"Mm," I said.
